Lovely first impression but after being seated we were ignored for 20 minutes, so left. We had a booking and it wasn't busy.

Sagamiya is easily one of the best, authentic Japanese restaurants outside of Japan that I have ever been to. The food was excellent. Everything was masterfuly prepared. I lived in Japan for a while, so for me entering through the sliding door felt like walking through a magic portal from London to Tokyo and brought back many good memories.

met a friend for an early dinner at Sagamiya and really enjoyed the food. started with a couple of carpaccios (o-toro and hamachi I think), then moved onto tempura and finished with some delicious sushi (unusually for me had under-ordered). the waitress was really friendly and helpful, and the vibe of the place was very much that of a small family-run restaurant. prices are reasonable for central London too.

A great restaurant with authentic Japanese food of a very high quality all prepared in an open kitchen. The sushi, in particular, was excellent. The price for such quality was very reasonable. The staff were friendly, very helpful & attentive to service. The evening we were there was very busy so pre booking would be advisable. Highly recommended.

London has notoriously bad, overpriced sushi. This spot is the exception. I'm from Vancouver where we take sushi seriously, and I was impressed. Hidden gem!

This Japanese brasserie is a gem! The miso aubergine was to die for! The food is prepared in front of you with super fresh ingredients and an amazing attention to details. The sushi was super fresh. The set menus were very good value for money for being in central London! I went with my family and we all loved it. I will go back for work next week!

Went early on a Saturday evening as we had children with us. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. The food was just beautifully served - the sushi was first rate so we had to order extra!! Would highly recommend this lovely little gem of a place tucked behind county hall

I believe Jun is the best Sushi Chef in London. I can not reccoment Sagamiya more. The produce is excellent and a totally melt-in-the-mouth experience.

I visited on a Friday evening after work with a colleague. We had edamame, tempura, some rolls, and the green tea brulee. All were tasty but what made our experience wonderful was the polite, friendly, smiling, and attentive staff. There were a number of small to medium sized groups there at the same time. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their time at Sagamiya.

The service was good and respectful: my orders came out correct, and I didn't have to wait for a long time at any point for staff (that said, there were only 4 active tables at the time). I ordered tuna rolls (hosomaki), a tori karaage set and genmai tea. The rolls tasted fresh and the portions of fish were quite generous. The chicken was also fried well: not too oily, with a light batter which seemed a fair bit closer to the karaage that I've had in Japan. It came with a salad, which was quite minimally dressed - I liked that as well. In terms of atmosphere, I liked the decor: it was bright and spacious. There seemed to be some kind of easy listening music in Italian, or possibly another European language - it seemed a bit of an odd fit, but was nonetheless pleasant. It was generally quite quiet, so I could enjoy my food. The food tasted great, and it was good value (14.50). I would certainly come back when I'm in the area.

Had a lovely evening with my fiancée in this restaurant. The menu is absolutely exquisite. The style of cuisine (11-course omakase) allows for a variety of exotic flavours & expensive proteins to be savoured. Just our kind of meal. Please enjoy the photos below, which cover just a fraction of the entire omakase. The menu was worth every penny. Hannah provides a nice Japanese styled décor, with a very relaxing & feel-at-home style. Attention to detail goes as far as provided baskets for personal belongings and bags, and warm damp napkin-cloths tableside. It was also to our liking that an open view of a part of the kitchen was provided, allowing connection with the staff. The service was really good, though some small etiquette improvements could be made, should you care about this. Small malus point is the access to the toilets, which seems to be shared with other restaurants in the building. I would eat here again in a heartbeat on my next visit to London. The restaurant does not yet have a Michelin Star, but it should soon follow. I'm confident of that.

Food was delicious as always, great quality and prepared quickly. The tuna revolution is amazing and the sushi is affordable. Unfortunately, we were let down by the drinks. My cocktail took a long time to come and tasted watery. I’m unsure if it was always watery or whether it had been sat for a while and the ice had melted, but it tasted like water with a bit of flavouring. I didn’t send it back at the time, which for £9 I should’ve. When I reached out to give the restaurant feedback I didn’t receive a response.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Ichi Sushi in the Park Westminster Hotel. The food was excellent, and my family thoroughly enjoyed it. Jasha, our server, was exceptional—attentive and professional, ensuring we were well taken care of. The service and food exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to returning soon!

We recently hired a sushi chef, and the experience exceeded all expectations. From the first course to the last, every dish was a work of art—both in presentation and flavor. The chef's skills and attention to detail were immediately evident, as was his dedication to using only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. His ability to engage with guests and make them feel part of the culinary experience added a unique, personal touch. Hiring this sushi chef was one of the best decisions we made, and we highly recommend his services for anyone looking to elevate their dining event. Truly exceptional!
