Sagar Restaurant Sweet Centre in Sandwell

Very nice food, one of my friends Ajay Sharma recommended this place to us , we all using this now more then 2 years ,they provide the best food in all birmangham, all our party not complete with out there food ! Highly recommended this place to everyone.

I bought big potion matar paneer curry in night nd after 1hour I opened matar paneer box at home it was spoiled. I complained about it staff totally ignored us. They are very rude nd unprofessional. I was really disappointed.

Really enjoyed samosas. Great value. Went before football, wish we'd had time to eat in.

Yesterday i visit to shop and i eat chola bhutara the is amazing and the service is also very fast and the receptionist behavior is very good and calm. His name is Ankit. I recomand to all of you to visit this shop. Enjoy good food in Birmingham.

Amazing food - May have to wait a bit but that’s because of how busy they are

I have been coming to this shop from last couple of years. I could recommend everything that i can name. Starting with samosas, spring rolls, their veg alu patty, amritsari kulcha and loads of varieties of Authentic indian sweets to try. Their are gulab jamun, rasmalai, khoya barfi, milk cake, kaju barfi and many more options to choose from. They are all best .

I ordered chilli paneer and it was of!!!! I called to tell them and they kept arguing! I hope this shop closes down!!!!

I recently visited this restaurant, and while the food was great, I had an uncomfortable experience with the staff at the counter. One of the employees, in particular, was unprofessional and made both me and other customers, especially women, feel uneasy. His behavior was inappropriate, and it felt like he was more focused on flirting with female customers than doing his job. I love the food, but I think the owner needs to address this issue with that staff member. It’s important that all customers feel comfortable and respected here. Hopefully, this gets resolved because the restaurant has great potential otherwise.

One of the best samosas , cholle bathure , pronthas , papri-chaat (and many more 😍) i have ever eaten. They give the best service and friendly behaviour with the customers.

Usually i prefer sweets of this place which i really like compared to other places. I tried choley bhathura oh my god it was really amazing. I would definitely come back for choley bhathura.

I was really impressed by the service at this restaurant. The staff members were very knowledgeable about the food and provided fantastic suggestions. No doubt their samosas and spring rolls are very famous, but they have got a lot of stuff to try, and I tried their chats and kulchas, and it was a great mix of flavors. I had an amazing experience at sagar Sweets last night. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the amritsari kulcha and kulfi faluda. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing quality and service Best samosas in the midlands

Sweets and samosas are avererage .The food was bland and the Paratha’s were the worst i have tasted.. Hardly any filling inside with no spices whatsoever.

We ordered nine smosas , they packed eight. I don’t think it’s small mistake.

I just call for place an order and the staff member a lady cut the call first without listening anything…. And the behaviour of staff is vry rude specially girls. Food quality is superb but deal with customers is 👎🏻 hopefully next time they will treat well.

Go there for my lamb samosa's also occasionally the veg ones but much prefer the lamb. Also have tried the chicken tikka there but prefer mine from the Hen & Chickens in Hill Top, personal taste thing. Samosa's cheap enough. My brother complains not enough spice but he eats the strongest vindaloo's so going to be mild to him! Overall great food, service and value for money.

The language barrier and lack of professionalism at this shop are unacceptable. My kids had a terrible experience.

My recent visit to Sagar Sweets was a real treat! The Rasmalai was heavenly – so creamy and delicious. And paired with a Thumb Up Coke and Limca it was the perfect combination of flavors. The service was top-notch, too. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy some tasty treats. In short, Sagar Sweets is a must-visit if you're looking for delicious sweets and great service. I can't wait to go back! We came all the way from Leamington spa

Great food , I keep returning for more.... however service needs more personnel. Hence 4 and not 5 stars.

Very rude behavior with customers. Let me explain my experience: I order 1 kg of sweet but mix of Rasgulla and Gulab jamun and 15 samosa. I said” can you pack 1 kg sweet half of them gulab jamun and half of ragulla. After waiting 20 minutes he handover only half kg sweet. When I ask another half kg. He blamed me and said why don’t you think first. I didn’t say anything but yes It hurts me as I was with family and I am writing this here so that owner should take action again that slim guy serving on till. They should learn respect for customers.

Food tasty no doubt, variety good, but service no good, they need more man , even 20 customers waiting but only one person serving, only one person taking order then he go inside to give order thn he come back and pack tht order, other customers stading there and havr to wait for very long time, no rules there , some time customer come after u and give order before u ,sorry for their service, I dnt understand why these people dnt have more worker they r making good money but can't afford second worker

Fantastic restaurant and takeaway owned by a sweet family and serve their customers in a very good manner. Delicious food and variety of dishes and cousine.

Highly recommended. They have got huge varieties of sweets and Indian authentic dishes. Customers service is at the top. They take care of their customers by giving them excellent service. The guy at the front is always smiling and very polite to each and every customer. Love to visit them.

Bought half a kg of pakora and 15 samosa. The pakora were raw and you could still see the liquid gram flower. The samosa were nice. I called to complain, lady did apologise, her solution was to be more careful next time! Which doesn’t really help. Only when I pushed did she offer to exchange but only once she checked them in the shop. Appreciate the chap was busy, however no excuse for serving undercooked food.

I brought somsa for a party, the somsa smelled sour and when I complained they were a bit rude.

My best place on West Bromwich to get Asian food, you should try it.

i order some samosas, when i went to collect the guy on the counnter was very rude, it was 12 samosas i said pack them sapratly 6 in each bag then he said why didn't tell be before i will never back again while i m regurler clint.,

Extremely disgusting place ive ever been . To begin with i saw the guy dropped one samosa on the floor he picked the samosa from floor I thought he was gonna throw it in the garbage but he picked uo the samosa bring the bag inside the kitchen and i can guarantee he put that samosa on the bag . Then i got chhole and chapati roti. . After having chhole i had really bad diarrhoea and i can literally smell that chhole was maybe made 4-5 days ago and i can feel the sticky essence on the chhole. I am not mad but i am upset we trust in you put our hard earn money and buy food from you and u just wanna earn money like that . Even in india ive never seen anything like this .

I've had samosas Chaat and samosas, spring rolls, aloo paratha many occasions from this particular shop never had any issues love the food always tasty for me.

Very poor service and food quality. I ordered one lamb curry and one chicken curry with 4 roti. I went all the way from kings Heath. When I reached home I found they forgotten to give me lamb curry and instead packed chicken curry in both plastic containers. When I reached home and called them to inform them, they said we have given you lamb curry, may be you don't know the difference between lamb and chicken I will have to drive back all the way to show them that I do know the difference between chicken and Lamb. What a shame.

There is a reason why there is a "Qué" at this place ... The food is excellent. The price is competitive but you will have to pay a surcharge to eat in... which can be a little high. Very clean and tidy ..the staff are polite and welcoming. You can pre order a variety of products. Very popular is the vegetable Somosa which you can buy hot or uncooked..the price is the same. Hint .. if you like the Somosa you have just eaten and you want more for the future .. I would strongly recommend you buy them uncooked and put them in your freezer. The reason to do this is because the pastry and filling might not be the same the next time you buy them. I just order about 100 stick them in the freezer to a air fryer .. job done !just put a little oil on them first. This is because "not all potatoes, flour, veg, and people are not the same "😂 So if you buy one and like it ..order more then freeze them untill you need them. A little historic details of this place .. it was a Victoria Wine off licence from the 1970's and changed to a sweet centre really 1990s. Parking is available on the one way Thynee Street .. Management is excellent and they have another one in Dudley Road ..Wolverhampton. In short .. the whole landscape of take a way food shops in this area is a bit of a joke. There are so many fast food places and I simply do not understand why the local authority has allowed it. Combine this with a load of Barber Shops, Beauty Parlours, and 24 hour International Food Shops with suspect Western Union money Laundering. In short I would strongly recommend visiting Sagar Restaurant .. it might mean you waiting in a line up ...but it is worth the wait..

Disgusting orderd a onion baji and sweetcorn baji so salty and hard I don’t know who messed with my food causing me to literally throw up..burnt all inside of my lips with how much salt when I rang all they said was sorry… they have kids working behind counter “helping out giving customers incorrect change on purpose” speaking in there language quietly furthermore this was my regular somosa shop and will no longer be sadly this is beyond a joke I won’t be eating from there again 😡

September 10, 2022: On our way to Edinburgh, we stopped over at Sagar Sweet Centre by chance. Found large variety of desi sweets and food. Bought some 'Saag & Roti" for the road and sweets for our friends in Lancaster. More than good experience as everything was exceptionally good from customer service to freshness of the food being sold. It was the Taste & Originality of "Saag & Roti' which forced us to visit the place again on our way back to London a few days later, though this place was slightly out of way as well. We wish we have a similar outlet with the same freshness, originality & taste in Canada.

Ordered 30 vegetable samosa , come home eating them to find that 15 of them had meat in it. Obviously we stopped eating it as soon as we realised. We checked packaging and it said 15 slam on one of the bags on there which I guess stands for meat. And the veggie pakora where so salty. Customer service is nice , nice people. But talk about dropping the ball with meat samasa

Wonderful food and people serving great ambience to enjoy India food not a big eat in place but can still enjoy your Indian sweets and savouries.. excuse me for spelling mistakes must visit before Diwali lots of sweets there I mean Indian sweets... Book in advance to avoid disappointment

I brought the alu tikki chat. The left the alu tikki uncooked and mixed it with channa and gravy. When i called them up for complain then the lady on the reception is very rude she said might be I ordered wrong. Few times it happen. Last time when i brought the saag. There was a broken plastics piece in it. When I spoke to the owner he said sorry about that you can come and get replacement of food but seriously no one is that free to get back there. Totally disappointed. . They seriously don't have any idea about health and safety.

The guy needs some training in customer service. Very rude. I purchased some food costing £18 and asked for an extra chutney and he charged 30p for this. The food was bot fresh. Avoid. Go to milans soho road for a better experience

I tried Gulaabjamunz of Jalandhar sweet, desi sweets, chawla sweets etc but i was missing the indian taste if u know what i mean...but their gulab jamunz taste quite same to what u eat back in India.. Again it is my opinion cos i love Indian sweets..nd it is hard to find authentic taste of india in UK...

Avoid if you don't want to end up with food poisoning, extremely lazy and poor customer service and a manager who seems to always be in bed when customers come to complain about foreign bodies in their food or any issue for that matter

Great Veggie Samosas & Spring Rolls 👌

Great for chapatis, vegetable delights like pakora and channa dhal. I mix the chilli sauce into the dhal and it gives it an amazing kick.
