Sahara Grill in Redbridge

We had lunch and found the food to be excellent. The service was good. We were served by Mr Nazrul who provided excellent service. He was very polite, hospitable and courteous. He also displayed excellent customer service and PR services. We throughly enjoyed our luncheon experience.

I came to Sahara grill Gants Hill and was served by Fahim, just want to say he looked after us amazingly. Everything we asked for was on point and he was really quick to serve our food and really quick with any requests that we had. Great customer service thank you Fahim!

Food was delicious and portions of the sharing platters comfortably accommodated three adults and two children. We had the buffalo wings, the sauce was spicy and piquant, really delicious. We also had the saute combo sharing platter and beef fajitas. Salaam cola was also on the menu, so of course we grabbed the opportunity to have an ethical cola. We were also given a complimentary house chilli sauce. Which was hot and delicious a great accompaniment to the dishes. Bathrooms were pleasant and clean (always a big plus), the hand soap was attached a bit low but we managed to use it fine. Last but not least, service was amazing, Nazrul was kind and pleasant, he went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. The main attraction for the kids was the robot waiter which bought the dishes to the table, she spoke and got annoyed when other customers stood in her way! All in all we left stuffed and happy.

Ordered a steak, tenders and sautéed steak. Tasted delicious as usual. The only place I know the taste will always be amazing.

Fahim provided a great service and the meal was excellent. The food was cooked fresh - steak was cooked perfectly too!!!

I visited this restaurant with my friends and I saw a short chubby man who was eating of everyone else’s plate whilst serving them. One other person also noticed this and addressed this. I think this is unacceptable and I’ve never witnessed this before in any other restaurant. I think next time we will be visited the Leyton branch. With no disrespect I’m assuming he loves his food which is fine but you CANT EAT OF CUSTOMERS FOOD PLATES. Please can the management of Sahara grill speak to him and issue him with a disciplinary. Me & my husband coming here for over 10 years. Food is always amazing - fresh, beautifully served and flavourful. My all time favourite is Sahara chicken steak, but I love everything I had from there. Service is always on point as well, but we feel extremely welcomed when Nazrul is there. He’s very professional, welcoming, attentive and friendly. Nazrul is always greeting us with the kind smile and nothing is too much for him to make our dinning experience special every time we are in Sahara grill.

Good food and fantastic service by Nazrul really happy kids also love the food.

My wife and I visit this restaurant every couple of months and leave happy every single time. Today we came and were treated well by Nizzar, the food was served quick and of high quality.

Food was tasty. However, we realized that service was bad as waiter wahab is treated like strangers and he did biasness with us and other customers.

We went as group of five people for a Christmas evening out meal. We ordered Sahara Feast platter & Sahara chops and fish bites. After reading good reviews, we were disappointed with the quantity and quality of food considering the high price we were charged. The table didn’t even have a tablecloth and the quantity of food was disappointing. The bill came to about £96. The mutton chops in our sharing platter and on its own, were a miniature size, never seen such small chops before in any of the restaurants I had visited. They even gave us the wrong fish dish, because it wasn’t in breadcrumbs, they gave us a what looks like a half a small sea bass fillet. God knows who is leaving all those excellent reviews because all five of us concluded that we would never go back again.

I visited with my wife and kids today and it's a perfect place to eat for family and freinds. All staff were very attentive especially the front of house staff member who was extremely welcoming. I had the Angus beef short ribs as my main and it was delicious. Very tender and flavoured perfectly. My son really liked the gravy and sauces that accompanied the dishes. Will definitely be coming again.

Wahab at Sahara grill Ilford served us and he was so accommodating and helpful. He was really kind and always checked to see if we need anything. The food was so good I always love their steaks and the gravy is so good I got more. Will defo be returning.

I visited Sahara Grill Gants Hill for a dinner with my partner. It was a lovely and scrumptious dinner with lovely drinks. I ordered the Mex Border burger which was tantalising on the tastebuds and my partner ordered a succulent ribeye steak with picante sauce. We were served by a lovely waiter by the name of Nazrul,, was extremely well mannered and welcoming.

This restaurant was clean but very old and tired. Please update and redecorate the place. Staff and food was very nice. I will only go back if they redesign the place. Main entrance was blocked. Very confusing layout.

This used to be the go to place. It's declined massively more so because of the availability of much better quality steak and service for the price. Overall nice family atmosphere.

Food was good but slightly overpriced

We came around 1030pm on a weekday when the branch closes at 1130pm. We were received very well unlike some places who want to rush you in and rush you out since it’s near closing time. We ordered a sauté combo which is always on point and loads of sides and kids tenders. Our server was Iqbal and he was very attentive and also gave us a very generous portion that we had to take home! Food is always on point and this place is a family favourite we always end up at!

Feel like I got conned today at the Gants Hill place, cut the long story short. Got a platter the main one £55 as far as I can remember. Chicken was super dry inside the marinade was nothing short of boring and low end on the taste scale, felt more like something I made when I was a kid living on my own learning to cook. The sauté chicken.. don’t know what on earth that was no taste there at all. The lamb chops.. only 4..and they were kind of lame..felt like someone had just slapped chilli powder on them and threw them on the grill just for the sake of grilling them .but anyway the wings were the only decent thing on there oh and coleslaw salad was good. Rice was dead too.. but the thing that topped it off was the manager Lmao said he will sort us out next time LOL. Mate there won’t be a next time.. we came in starving looking to get quality food.. we left hardly having eaten and got The food packed only so they don’t throw it away and we would rather give it to the homeless. We were there in that restaurant for half an hour the shortest time I have ever spent at any food place and 15 mins of which I spent in prayer room. Was of my time and money honestly this place has fallen off.

The food wasn’t up to standard, gone down hill.

Basically food was really bad . e.g steak 🥩 t bone was extremely thin and watery . Gravey was water . onions on top were rather boiled . mushroom sauce was tiniest pot with no flavour . Price £35 . I feel womiting and feelings gutted 😭. Please refund my money if you can . Loaded fries 🍟 I actually returned as beef mince was watery making chips soggy . kids mini chicken burger was deep fried two tiniest pieces of processed local shop strips . I feel sorry for kids . probably lamb shank was oki with mesh

Chicken was really dry and flavourless, coleslaw fine but otherwise not spectacular. Service solid. Also felt a little bit unwell the following day unfortunately.

Probably the worst place I have eaten this year. £20 for 5 skinny lamb chops all over cooked. £9 for a geek salad where the lettuce was brown on the edges. The service was ok, and the waiters were pleasant. However the food is so bad it’s robbery what they are charging.

This was one of tge worst experiences iv had, iv been to the other sahara branchs in leyton and whitchaole and service was always warm and welcoming however this branch was the first time i visited yesterday with my husband and toddler for a small lunch date, the management in the stripy shirt and hazely eyes was rude and inconsiderate, my toddler was looming out of the window on the seat no other customers was there all seats on my right was empty so we allowed him to stare out the window while we eat, the manager then told us " get your son off and keep him by your side the seats are getting dirty" we couldnt eat properly and had to rush and at that point felt like we wanted to walk out, how fo you tell a customer to keep their small active child sat down in one place, do we eat or hold our child in one spot? There was no consideration, these seats can get wiped and cleaned but a happy customer youv lost out on, my child wasnt runing or making any noise he was doing his own thing, i will be tell my friends and family about this branch, maybe some customer service training is needed on how to speak to customers.
