Sultana was such a delight. Even a few days before Christmas Day when the supermarket was packed with customers probably being super demanding she was patient, helpful and found the time to help me find what I couldn’t find myself. She is a credit to the store! Thank you Sultana.

Thanks Sainsbury's! We ordered some sandwich platters for collection on Xmas Eve, paid online, received an an email today (the 23rd) detailing where and how to collect. We then recieved a second email telling us our order has been cancelled. What brilliant customer service this is, Sainsbury's has really out done itself! I'd give fewer stars if I could, perhaps people can imagine a minus sign in front of the one star.

So order a Christmas click and collect slot, collect food and some of it is dated before Christmas day and yes I know you can still eat it but it's the principle. 2ndly need to pop in to try and get a couple of bits that we're substituted, check opening times, says 10am. Get there for 9.30 and the shop is already open. If you can't get the basics right, how do you expect to get the big stuff right???

Very good store with integrated Argos, large car park, generally able to find a space. Wide range of goods stocked, and some very good Nectar offers.

Sultana helped me in the tills and she convinced me to get the Nectar card,which is a good idea and it's actually a magic the prices go down with nectar card.Thanks to sultana she is a credit for Sainsbury's

Decent Sainsbury's, easy to get to, plenty of parking and has a good selection including clothing

Not my usual place to shop, I had a bit of trouble finding items as the store was humongous but a lady named Sultana helped me, she was polite and helpful.

Thank you to Sultana who found the Rachel's ginger yoghurt for me! I had been looking every visit and she was very helpful.

We went tonight just to look at the Christmas range. We were quite impressed as some on offer with nectar card. I would like to mention the lady in the bread aisle her name, apologies if spelt wrong sultana. She was a delight,cheerful & had great service with a smile. We also felt impressed with the young man who was cleaning the till area. The tills were clean, no grime on scanner. We go other places & never see people cleaning when quiet. So overall was a good shopping experience & we were impressed with staff working. Hopefully a manager will read & know their staff working hard.

Popped in for argos to buy some gifts and came out with a bag of grocery. Lovely big shop, I had a quick nose at some of the clothes etc on display. Parking spaces were plenty especially the disabled which I use. Always nice to visit

Not enough tills open if don't want self service won't go o there again

I purchased everything on my shopping list. The only complaint I have is that I fancied a little snack on the way out .... £3 minimum spend on a bite size snack isn't what I'm willing to spend. Tesco has a snack size pack with apple slices, grapes, and a cheese portion for under £2.

Large supermarket. There are 2 carparks. The one in front of the store, which is usually busy and one on the roof, located up the ramp to the side of the store. Found the shopping to be more expensive than my usual supermarket and did not enjoy some of the own brand products that I would usually purchase from other supermarkets.

Sells everything! Lovely clothes here, especially for children.

Plenty parking got various fashion, groceries, household and even electronic in one place

It's a while since I've been to sainsbury it seemed very muddled like they are trying to stock to much in not enough space. And as for taking away the tills with staff I will be giving them a wide range end of November and ALL DECEMBER those stupid self service tills will be a nightmare !!!! STEER CLEAR , ELAINE TEDHAM

Very high prices but I like the fact the lack of renovations has kept a nostalgic 1990s supermarket vibe.

Visited here around 8pm at night and not one manned till open, asked for a staff member to open till and they said "there's only two of us on the shop floor, you'll have to use self service", this is appalling. Sainsbury's needs to start putting more staff on the shop floor, keeping tills open until it closes, not a happy customer!

Had breakfast and hot drink in restaurant. Pleasant experience. I bought a few items , good value.

Clean, but just really annoying that they never ever have enough people on the tills. It's so much longer queues than Aldi and this is really putting me off from coming here. EDIT: QUEUES GET WORSE AND WORSE EVERY TIME I'M HERE, I GIVE UP, GOING TO A DIFFERENT SUPERMARKET UNTIL THEY START GETTING ENOUGH PEOPLE ON THE CHECK OUTS!!!!!

Check out is the worst in any supermarket Self checkout no good for old people and need more service checkout

I calculated every price of every item we bought as we went along. I even took into account every Nectar sticker and I meticulously made sure that each sticker corresponded to each item. At the checkout till, the price came to more than the total I had calculated. And, no, we didn't buy bags. The cashier didn't know what to say, but it's obvious that the prices on the shelves do not match what's on the system. Be vigilant, and make sure you write down the items and their prices as you go along.

I have been shopping at the Rayleigh Weir store for over 30 years but as loyal customer I’ve had enough. On a Friday afternoon there were two tills open with huge queues weaving into aisles. Customers arguing because they felt people were pushing in. I do not want to use self service tills for a large shop. Today the self service tills had numerous customers waiting with red lights flashing awaiting assistance or overrides. Employ more staff to operate the tills!!! With so many tills removed now in general I dread to think what it will be like at Xmas. I am taking my custom elsewhere!!

Often come here to pick up my online shopping. So convenient coming from Canvey. Always find the staff that help me.at the van helpful, friendly and polite. Car park area is tidy and the main store has a huge selection inside. Also a key cutting place on site if needed.

New self service checkouts have taken over. Queues horrendous if you want any service. Hopeless for the elderly or disabled. It's a shame as the products are good and staff on tills trying their best whilst having to take the flack from disgruntled customers. I will only shop there now if desperate.

Easy access, and a good selection of items....has an Argos store as a bonus within the main store. However, the tills and staff are not as fast, or enthusiastic as say Tesco's

Visit weekly, on a weekday around 5pm and shopping, for someone that hates food shopping, is a breeze. Store is quiet and it's all hassle free. Good selection of everything you could want. Friendly helpful staff.

Always has the necessary items in my shop, but not necessarily in the right place, they seem to delight in shifting things around. If other customers are like me they don't bother searching they go elsewhere for items that are "hidden" by moving!

Very competitive prices, usually one of the best value for money in the local area. Pay at pump saves time. Plus get extra points on Nectar loyalty card. Clean and tidy forecourt.

Noticeably dearer with less till staff as my wife expeirenced 3 till closures causing her (and others) to wait over 12 minutes to pay

If You go early, it's all self service machines....which if getting a small amount is ok but more tricky if You getting lots of shopping.....

It's a supermarket where largely you serve yourself and if you use self-scan will probably have no interaction with staff. Sad in a way as a nice chat is always welcome. Overall though, they sell groceries and if you need groceries then this will fulfill your needs.

Very expensive getting worse by the day always running out of stuff, bakery very unreliable, barely any counter staff and slow to serve this company is giving poorer and poorer services all the time probably the most expensive store in the area apart from M&s in high street

Needs more staff and better management , spent 20 minutes for a basket check on fast lane, 1 member of staff doing about 18 checkouts on fast lane most flashing red, kept doing our basket check and then wandering of to help other customers, then she could not do our coupon, by now shopping defrosted nearly, so I tried to speak to the manager, was told now one knew their name, Claire was asked but refused to pass on name of manager, finally found out she was called Vicky waited another 10 minutes and she did not even bother to turn up, sainsbury need to sort this out or lose customers lot of people we're complaining and waiting ages, not recommend this store at all I spoke to customer services on the phone and got offered 1000 points which is £5 for my 30 minutes inconvenience which is not even minimum wage. Come on Sainsburys a big company like yours should have done better than this.

It's another sainsburys a lot bigger section of clothes than most...especially women's (not my thing personally but it keeps the wife happy). For us blokes what makes it different...it has a roof top carpark! So gets 4 stars for that alone 😯😆

The cafe' in Sainsbury's is great. I had fish and chips and it was lovely. My score for the staff and food is 9 💯

Good value fuel close to the A127

This is a large well stocked Sainsburys with a wide range of groceries, clothes, toys as well as being colocated with a Homebase. There is ample parking and a filling station.

Love the store. It's big, light and plenty of room. Staff on the fast tills are super nice. Lots of choice. Shame all of it is so expensive. If you've not been hit by the cost of living crisis, I recommend shopping here.

Shame about removing the changing room. I now don't bother buying clothes, as its a hassle to come back return them. Not enough staff on tills, always long queues.

This Sainsbury's is large, has a lot of easy to use parking, the produce is fresh and hasn't perished by being over chilled (over chilling is when the item is almost frozen, so when you buy produce like carrots, tomatoes, watermelons, etc they perish within a week or 2 and the flavour is missing, fortunately Sainsbury's doesn't tend to do this). However, the main issues are; * There are barely any staffed checkouts open and the self-service express lanes are not suitable for large trolleys, so the big shoppers must be going elsewhere. * Items are moved around a lot so you will need to search for items that you commonly buy, this is also confusing for the staff, because they say it was here but I will need to check if it's been moved or not in stock. * Food allergy/intolerant products are moved around and often put into standard product areas while being removed from food intolerant areas. I understand that this is for marketing purposes, so that people can try other products but genuine food allergies/intolerances don't allow for products containing restricted ingredients. You can advertise it in other in-store locations, but please ensure that it's duplicated into the free from areas.

Always friendly staff. Wait times can be a bit bad because of constant pumps out of fuel.

Just spend £162 plus on weekly shop then left the store to return home, and unfortunately encountered a bad driver working for Sainsburys who doesn’t know that you give way to drivers on your right on roundabouts , having tooted him he pulled side me as me why I had tooted so I mentioned that he should give way to drivers on his right. All he could muster was ‘twat’ , obviously Sainsburys at their best diplomatically , customer service no exists. Obviously forgotten customers have a choice of who we do business with!

It's a Sainsbury's so you know what to expect. Good car parking as has raised roof parking at rear. Shame they dropped dressing rooms as found these useful. As usual in line with other supermarkets not enough main tills open so forced through self checkout area which is not ideal if you have lots. For me their clothes fit well so go more often for clothes.

I've been really impressed with my experiences at this Sainsbury's location. The handheld scanning option has made my shopping trips so much more efficient and enjoyable. It's incredibly convenient to scan items as I go and keep track of my total spend. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the store is well-stocked with a great selection of products. Highly recommend this Sainsbury's and it’s now my regular weekly place to shop.

I really needed to speak to someone about picking up my click and collect! The phone system is insane I had to call about 7 times before I spoke to someone; they were in India ffs I will avoid Sainsbury from now on; disgusting!

If you like expensive products and long queues at the tills, this is the place for you!

Badly run store. Far better to go up the road to Basildon.

Stock can be hit and miss sometimes, not enough staff to cater for those having difficulty at smart and self checkout. Dual pricing on nectar can be off putting

Big supermarket. Shop has had a bit of a change around, but same products on sale, just hit by the clothes section now as soon as you walk in. Friday at 8 not a great time to shop. Not much on fresh produce aisle. 4/10/23 good deals with Nectar card atm, certainly on Spirits.
