Sal's Italian in County Durham

We were let down for boxing day, but Sals managed to fit 14 of us in at a busy time of year. Everything was lovely, from the table to the food, to the service. Such friendly accommodating staff. The whole experience was fab and would highly recommend, also save a fortune on drinks, as it is Bring your own😃

Amazing find.. service friendly and efficient. Food was delicious and they happily provided a meal to suit my dietary needs. Would definitely recommend a visit.

I was visiting Tideswell for the weekend with my boys and came across this gem of a restaurant . We really hadn’t expected much in such a small place but we’re really pleased that the food was of great quality ( esp the seafood), well presented and reasonably priced. The portions were large enough to keep the boys happy ! The staff were attentive and the chef was also welcoming. Lovely little restaurant ! If passing will definitely visit again.

Excellent, excellent food and terrific terrific service. So good - faultless. I’ve never had better cooked prawns! The menu was well balanced and beautifully cooked

Great Italian restaurant in Tideswell early on a Monday evening the restaurant was busy, good menu and friendly staff. Unlike most offer restaurants you can take your own beer/wine so that certainly helps to keep the price down. Will definitely go again, best to book as this restaurant is gaining in popularity.

What a fantastic restaurant. Such a friendly atmosphere and so welcoming. The food is superb, I had the steak and it was by far the best I have had in a very long time. We are in town for a week and booked for a return visit before we left the restaurant. Would definitely recommend wholeheartedly

Came here with a group of friends - 7 of us as we were away in the Peak District for the weekend. Lovely food, plenty of options, great service, BYOB and decent portions, would definitely go again!

We visited Sal's for our only night in Tideswell and we chose very well. The staff were attentive and the food was so good. All meals were piping hot and excellently presented. My sister had a gluten free pizza and said it was the best she had ever had! If we're in the area again, we will be back

Wow! Would 100% recommend this beautiful restaurant. A lovely atmosphere with great service, and the food was exceptional whilst reasonably priced! Really quality ingredients and the chef came out personally to ask us how our food was. They also went the extra mile to make our daughter’s birthday special, thank you so much - we’ll definitely be returning 🌟

Amazing food, lovely fresh ingredients. We liked it so much we went there three times in a week. Staff are very friendly and accommodating to all our requests.

Food was excellent, lovely presentation and tasted delicious. Hussain our waiter was attentive and courteous. Sal the owner chatted to us after our meal. If in the area you must visit. No alcohol is served but they welcome you to take your own. 10 out of 10
