Quite pricey for what it is. Small drinks are tiny. People serving were lovely.

This place is awful. The sausage rolls were rock hard. The coffee is gross and the staff have no idea. Whoever’s in the kitchen is cooking everything to death. Such a shame!

We popped in for a coffee and tea and nice bright and tidy cafe. Retro American diner seating.Reasonably priced, the coffee was lovely and not bitter.Dog friendly.

Very welcoming and good value for money.

Was in the area and inspired to visit by the total Karen review below (what a cliché) the place is nice and modern with an American diner feel and quiet jukebox music playing in the background. Staff were friendly enough for the simple interaction I had with them ordering some take away chips and was treated to a smile. Got two portions of cheesey chips for a tenner, were pretty good and not greasy. They had plenty of other options and the cake selection and coffees looked nice. As a bonus it's also a two minute walk to the beach and has a well equipped, medium sized kids play area right outside. Seems really good for a family stop, I'd come back again if I was in the area. Absolutely zero need for any bad reviews as far as I could see.

First time here, lovely food, good selection on menu, friendly, helpful and polite staff, we had Ham and cheese toasties, chips and milkshake

We're staying nearby and have visited 3 different times so far on our walks, twice we had food with coffees, and once just coffee. Each time the staff was spot on, friendly & helpful, the food was also delicious, especially the bacon sandwich, it has got to be in my top 5, the coffee was also better than any we've had on local seafronts. It was all reasonable priced as well Also our Dogs enjoyed the doggy sausages

What a shame. This place could and should be amazing, but a total disappointment. Front sunny warm section cordoned off with chairs and a mop, so had to sit in the chilly dark main area. Having sat down and perused the menu for 15 minutes, we were informed when we tried to order that there was no food today, only chips or sausage rolls, having all got excited about the choices we had made from the very good menu. Staff totally uninterested and bored looking. Could have told us when we walked in that there was no food today! Place looks like its a cute American diner but ZERO enthusiasm from the staff. Bored looking and grumpy. Food dumped on table with no comment or even eye contact. Had to ask for silverware, napkins and condiments twice. Staff could not have cared less. As I said it is a shame as this place could be awesome. Get some enthusiastic staff who give a fig about their jobs and customers and I might return but probably not. I do not recommend. EDIT as I do not know how to respond to the owners reply. We were told (after spending time sitting at a table looking at the menus and choosing what we wanted) that there was no food being served today due to staff shortage. And that is the truth, how dare you accuse me of lying! I understand that staff shortages and food running out happens having worked in the service industry myself for over 40 years, but it was the complete lack of interest and enthusiasm of the staff that surprised us. We arrived at 2pm, no where near closing time! Dont tell me you only catered to be busy until then! Ridiculous response from owner who obviously cares as much for this business as their staff. 100% will not return. Only writing this honest review to warn others who might be as disappointed on a special day out as we were.

Food was mediocre, not well presented or well cooked. When we were in there, there was grass and dirt all over the floor. Although recently redone, already looks tired.

Great place to sit outside and enjoy the sun. Handy to grab a drink, snack or ice cream while kids use the play area.

Visited this cafe a few weeks ago with my Mum for lunch, used to use Paradise Park but food has gone downhill. Everything about it was great, lovely friendly staff, freshly cooked excellent food & spotlessly clean. Looking forward to going back this week as our new regular spot. Highly recommend.

Staff very nice and friendly. The food was ok, I can’t recommend a paps burgers though. Very dry poor ingredients and a burnt bun which was too crispy. Still ate it all though as I hate wasted food. I think some sort of house burger sauce wouldn’t hurt. The loaded friends with cheese and bacon were good though. My wife’s hot dog looked a little sorry for its self as well, I think the bun could have been lightly toasted and the cheese on it was missing from the order. That all being said I would still return to try something else.

Staff all over the place and unorganised. Forgot my cold drink and part of my order. Hot drink wasn't hot. Very pricey too.

Great food and excellent service, dog friendly too

Not busy when we went in but service was slow and staff lacked interest in providing a service. The cafe seems styled in 60’s but would benefit from music possibly to give more atmosphere. Coffee was good.

Eat here about once a month for lunch with a friend. I've had Holumi burger, Tina melt and various other dishes, all cooked to order.

Perfect for a takeaway bacon buttie . We stopped in Seaford for a couple of days and we're keen to have our breakfast on the beach . The great little cabins on the esplanade didn't quite do a breakfast buttie so we opted for Salts takeaway . Great service from the team . Perfect sandwiches .

Popped to the park with our 2yo before a long drive home and decided to get a couple of breakfast sandwiches and a toasted teacake to go, they were given to us in cardboard boxes with napkins, sauces and wood knife and fork. Great size sandwiches and they tasted lovely. Would really recommend this place. Dog friendly, indoor and outdoor seating too if you want to stay.

All the staff were very friendly, speedy service too. The cafe (American diner style) was clean and had a great atmosphere. Lovely selection of cakes and ice creams. Lots of gluten free options too. Highly recommend.

This is a fantastic place with really great food, good prices and wonderful staff. I go here as often as I can - which is not as much as I'd like to - and am always welcomed in. The lady who served us today (Thursday 23rd March) was so friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. She was happy to chat with us between customers, and we felt very welcomed, staying for extra coffee after lunch. Owner of this cafe note - she is an amazing member of staff, and makes this place such a great place to visit. The food was amazing, coffee excellent, and prices very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Stopped today during half term! A very popular little cafe, extremely busy but staff, although young very attentive and polite. Ordered a couple of toasties these were freshly prepared and presentation was lovely they came with salad and tortilla chips all packed with yummy fillings topped off with a lovely latte and a good old cuppa for the hubby! Managed by Amie who was happy to see and acknowledge her regular customers whilst working so hard our visit was a fabulous experience. Keep doing what you are. Well done to you all.

Despite the most recent reviews being terrible, we visited today as it's such a good spot for kids to play. After they had exerted some energy we ventured inside the cafe, and despite a fairly small menu (we had been hoping for a cooked breakfast), it was great we could order any of the menu at any time of day, and found the food all really fresh and tasty. The coffee is decent as well, and the staff were friendly. There was a bit of a wait on the food but I don't think you can complain if you do want it fresh, and it was good it all came at once.

I like dogs. Don’t get me wrong. But way this otherwise nice cafe allows dog owners to let their dogs run around here is VERY off-putting. It’s not complicated - please have a rule that means that dogs stay on a lead. There are other cafes on the seafront at Seaford where the dogs are less important than the customers (& with lovely sea views) & that’s where you’ll find me from now on.

Awful service took nearly half an hour for a veggie sausage sandwich. The food was inedible. Should not allow dogs inside the barking was ear piercing and unpleasant. Until they sort themselves out I shall not go there.

I think it's a great place for coffee and a cake whilst the kids play. The decor is also nice and fun. Top tip for the owners - sort the hot/cooked food out, it's awful 😖 !! You could have a real gem if you got this bit right

This place is the pits , worse than the old transport cafe , the council needs to totally demolish it and start again. The people who run it are really nice and friendly just the building let's it down.

A simple little cafe on the sea front, ideal for coming with kids. It's situated right in a play area making it great for kids and families to visit. There some indoor and outdoor seating too. Very basic menu on offer, but good for a quick coffee stop more than anything.

Excellent. Friendly atmosphere and lovely coffee and apple pie. Recommended.

Just off the beach, tucked away from the wind, lies the salts, with playground, fields, skate park, tennis courts. And there, you will find a nice café, offering an eclectic selection of food, hot drinks and ice creams, a marriage of traditional Sussex fare and Italian gusto. Highly recommended to recover from physical activities.

Handy for a coffee, but how can you serve a scone and then say you have no butter?

Great place for Fish and Chips!

I only had a bacon sandwich, which was good. The sandwich was generously filled with freshly cooked bacon. The plate was garnished with half a slice of tomatoe and a slice of cucumber. The cafe has a generous selection of ice creams to enjoy for desert, following a meal with their reasonably large selection of food to order. There was no vegetable lasagne during today's visit. Overall, the salts cafe is nice place to get something to eat afrert the kids have played in the palk, with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Lovely staff and great food at a very reasonable price

Great little cafe, perfect spot for customers. There is one criticism, the furniture and decor does put me off using it more. Please lose the nets and update your furniture to make it more inviting to your regulars :) Seaford is a windy place and customers like to take shelter inside from the elements and eat a great ice cream

Great play area for all ages of children. Good menu. On seafront. Plenty of green open spaces for ball games aswell. Gym area with loads of equipment. Swing for disabled children. Worth a visit.

Food was simple but OK. I think we were overcharged and other customers were arguing about their bills. Needs a refurbishment internally.

A littlenon the pricey side for me. I appreciate that the overheads are most likely the cause but I cannot justify some of the prices for what you get. Good location and great surroundings. Just a bit overpriced tbh.

Ok. Very average food but expensive prices.No decaf tea or coffee. No loo roll or soap in the loo for most of the morning.The man who runs it has quite brusque manner, verging on rude.

Café is adjacent to a big children's playground and sports field so is convenient for drinks and snacks. Shingle beach is a few minutes walk away.

Really enjoy the tea and coffee after a lovely walk around the park just off the beach in Seaford.my dog loves the space and we'll looked after grounds even after Rugby and Cricket match.good choice of hot and cold food with ice cream cabinet.it also takes you to the shop's one way and beach walks other way. It's OK, however i am amazed that the cafe is not dog friendly considering this is their majority of income for 5 days a week.

Very well situated in a nice park next to the promenade and beach. Nice tea room for snacks and ice cream.

Salts Café is a lovely place set back from the sea front and down a ramp. It serves hot and cold food/drinks and ice cream. Just outside there is a green where cricket matches take place. There is also a children's play area which is very safe.

Nice enough cafe with lots of food, drink and treat options available. However, the prices for the food quantity and quality we're high with the service taking a long time. Plus the facilities were not really sufficient for the capacity. However they had contactless payment and was open on a bank holiday Monday, overall worth a visit if you ain't too fussy.
