Today i visited to sambal restaurant with my friends. The food was delicious and the service was great. Specially thanks for dilki and raja..

I am a regular here for takeaways and have dined in here a few times before.Totally enjoyed my dinner here tonight. The Parotta and Chicken Dum Briyani is a must to try if you come here. The waitress Thamizhkavi’s service was excellent and she even kindly explained to us abit about Sri Lankan food and language. Im leaving with a happy stomach 🥳

Didn’t really know what to expect coming into Sambal… was absolutely shocked how amazing the food was. i didn’t want to stop eating and was stunned by how much i ate and how everything i ate was 10/10. Sathya, Thamizhkavi and Gowri (apologise if i spelt name wrong) were amazing with their customer service. Will highly recommend for everyone to come alone, friends or with family!

Sambal Kitchen is the best place to taste Sri Lankan authentic food. We just popped in there to spend some time with friends once, turned out to be a great experience. The food was really nice, especially the Sambal special noodles, Lamp rice, egg hoppers and Odiyal Kool are our favorite. And if you’d love to have some great Falooda, this is a place for it. The staffs are very friendly, especially Tamizhkavi, she’s very kind, always serves us with smile😊 I’d definitely recommend Sambal Kitchen!

I have been a regular of Sambal for over 6 years and my wife has been visiting weekly (sometimes twice a week) since the day they opened 10+ years ago. Although the food and service were good for the price you pay until recently, everything about this place has gone down. 1) The food's quality and quantity has dwindled significantly while the prices have gone up, 2) The quality of service has degraded and talking to some of their staff about the quality of their food feels like the they are going to punch you in the face about complaining, 3) Leaving complaints on their complaints register gets you nowhere. It is a shame that such a well run restaurant has gone southwards. Who knows, perhaps this is due to a change in management or the havoc Covid may have wreaked upon them. Update December 2024: The quality of service has improved again and I am glad that I have started visiting them again . Thank you to Sathya and Puvi for their great service . This has led me to change me rating again

Sambal is a Great place to eat Sri Lankan food, I loved their hoppers and Masala dosa and unforgettable Lamprice, and Parata, with Mutton, Fish or Lentil curry Alcohol drinks are limited, I wish they allow guests to bring wine along, but you can always get a Lion Lager. 🍻 l take friends at any time to reconnect with an amazing g cuisine, because Sambla make it so much like at home 🤩🤩⭐️ Great team serve food there always with a smile. Manger guy name I think Pavi, very friendly and welcoming and I asked extra food one day after my big workout and he was happy to put some more on my plate 💪💪 Most staff members are lovely as well, no matter whether you speak Sinhala, Tamil or English, they have same menu, price and friendly attitude, what a great customer service. Tamzi is one of the girls who take fodder orders, always know what I like to drink and for dessert, very personal touch. I definitely want to see more vegetables added on the vegan day like Jackfruit, beetroot curry’s and gotukala sambal for traditional Sri Lankan vegan lunch or dinner Always recommend the place to people to try.

We go to Sambal Kitchen & Diner every few months as we live a bit far from Harrow. Whenever we go there, we enjoy the Sri Lankan food we order. Last time we went there Dilki, Puvi and Thamizkavi were there. They all served us well and it was a very positive experience at this restaurant as usual despite it being a busy day.

I had an incredible dining experience where the flavors truly transported me to Sri Lanka! The dishes were vibrant, from the perfectly crispy hoppers and spicy pol sambol to the rich, aromatic chicken curry. The deviled prawns were a spicy delight, and the watalappam dessert was a creamy, fragrant finish that I highly recommend. The atmosphere was cozy, with thoughtful Sri Lankan décor, And our server Thamizhkavi made the experience even better with her warm and attentive service, sharing stories and recommendations with genuine enthusiasm. For anyone craving authentic Sri Lankan food, is a must-visit.

Brought some friends here last week. “I normally drink water while I eat, but look at my glass, it’s full. I just can’t stop eating it’s so good” thank you, Dilki , Puvi, Thamizkavi, we had an amazing lunch.

This is our favourite local restaurant and we go at least once a week. They cook fresh meals from 12 noon till late at night. I lived in Malaysia and had a Tamil cook so the food here reminds me of the delicious meals I had there. Staff are very friendly. Can be busy at times, especially weekends but worth waiting for. I sometimes pop in for a quick dosa on my own and that is served in minutes. Restaurant has a licence to serve alcohol. Menu has a wide range of meat and vegetarian dishes. The degree of chilli 'hotness' can be adjusted to suit customer. Very reasonable prices.
