We had a fantastic evening. The food was super and reasonably priced. What a lovely buzzy restaurant. The drink prices were also very competitive. Excellent value and quality.

Good for a casual evening out. Comforting food, flavoursome and homely. It was very busy when we visited and the ambience isn't the best - but a nice local spot, with friendly staff.

What a great find we choose for our lunch stop. We were in Tottenham to watch a rugby match and this was ideal. Really good, home cooked food, lovely house wine and, best of all, exceptional staff. Highly recommended.

We were a very large group and the staff were just the best - absolute troopers and so lovely. I had possibly the best margherita pizza I've ever had, definitely the best outside of Italy. The dough was perfectly cooked and there was so much cheese on it, I was in heaven. I love this place and will be going back there very soon, no doubt!

This was our second visit. We had planned to go over the years but we don't often travel in the Tottenham direction. Went by bus to avoid parking problems and for the ability to consume Italian reds. The atmosphere is quite laid back and very Italian. We have eaten in many 'posh' places with not such great food and hospitality. It sounds rather rude to say that we were pleasantly surprised but we definitely were. Cafe type presentation with excellent food.

Great little oasis of a restaurant! The food was amazing and the portions were large. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would go out of my way just to go back to this restaurant. Great place to go for lunch before a concert or a football game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium or just to go here for dinner and drinks in the evening! Would highly recommend!

We were attending the Lady Gaga gig in Tottenham and were on the hunt for a meal, then we came across this hidden gem. We hadn't pre booked but they made room for us and we were so glad. Service was superb a very old school Italian style. But the food my god was brilliant we both had pizzas, a Fiorentina and a Ragu Ragu and they were amazing super thin great sauce plenty of toppings with delicious crusts. Really filling which was a shame as the desserts looked amazing. Really good value especially for the locale if we are ever in the area again we certainly will return. BRAVO.

Very good pizza, I will say best in the area! Enjoyed few times his pasta and main courses too. Real Italian ambient, homely and welcoming ( Italian speaking staff is a plus ) Despite he can get very busy, service is always very personal. Thank you girls! Booked a table for lunch before going to a concert at the Spurs stadium. Nice service, atmosphere and delicious fod. All fresh ingredients snd delivered piping hot to the table. Prices were very goid. For a pizza, pasta dish, two starters and a small red wine we paid under £40. Only downside was that only the house wines are sold per glass :( Will definately come back when I'm in the area.

After going to San Marco last Saturday night and having as usual a fantastic meal, I noticed when I got home I left my classes there and after phoning them they very kindly sent them to me by special delivery at no cost which I thought was very kind of them considering it was my fault. Such a fab restaurant, food is amazing and couldn’t recommend any more!

Bad experience from beginning to end. Rude and abrupt welcome. Staff unfriendly and unhelpful. I asked for a lemon to accompany my fish and was given a dirty look and also had rude responses when asking for things like mayonnaise. Decor very dated. Service slow....

San Marco is a lovely traditional family-run Italian restaurant. The food was delicious and the portions sizes were good too. I had a pizza but the pasta looked yummy too. This restaurant is suitable for all occasions, from celebrations to weekday lunches. Great for families, groups of friends or couples. I would highly recommend - you could even pop in on the way to or from the football!

We came here on saturday at 5.30ish with my partner and 10 year old daughter after bowling in finsbury park. We hadn't booked, the place was fairly busy but they managed to fit us in.Wonderful food, Pizzas were the best I've tasted in a long long time.I had a very tasty starter cold starter of roasted aubergine, pepper and mozzarella. My partner and daughter were equally impressed with their starters of garlic bread and melon and ham. The mains were delicious. I have to say I love pizza.We had 2 pizzas and a pasta main that were simply divine. We all shared are food and all agreed we certainly will be back to this lovely family restaurant.

Huge get together with various meals ordered in advance. Pizzas were lovely really huge with decent toppings and cooked well. Starter and dessert was decent. Staff were run off their feet as very busy over all worth a visit.

Restaurant has been in the same family for over 40 years and possibly never been redecorated in that time! Surroundings were a bit tired and worn. Having said that, the menu is extensive and reasonably priced, the service was friendly and efficient and the food was excellent.If you are coming from outside the area, parking is a bit difficult but it is right next to Bruce Grove railway station.

Came across San Marco on our way to Tottenham Hotspur after catching the bus from Tottenham Hale tube station.The beautiful smell filled the air.We went in and explained that we didn't have a reservation but the owner came over and found the 3 of us a table.We really enjoyed our meal...very nice menu with a good choice. Mains don't include veg etc.Very reasonable priced.My son had spaghetti Bolognese as normal and said it was the best ever.Dad and I shared a pizza as the were massive and very delicious. Sadly no time for dessert but they looked yummy.I would highly recommend this for any fans going to the ground...but book first!!!

After reading many fantastic reviews me and my boyfriend embarked on a lunch date to San Marcos , I’ll start by saying after ordering strictly Italian cuisine the food was fantastic, and had a great time , so , to the point , we were absolutely gobsmacked at the way we were treated by the waitress’s on our next visit.. first of all we ordered our starter brought out my boyfriend’s first then waiting for mine.. finally got there attention and was told that there was a 15 minute wait for mine as it was garlic pizza they apologised and it was all fine. Then we done something we shouldn’t of done ordered something that was not Italian. Duck and the lamb cutlets with sautéed potatoes.. well all I can say was when I turned up at our table was absolutely disgusting. The lamb was the most cheapest peice of meat ever and my duck was covered in some rank sauce and was not even edible. The alleged sautés potato’s was Rock hard and had no flavour. My boyfriend eat his cause he was hungry but I put knife and fork together to show that I was finished.. and waiting nearly 40 mins and not 1 waitress come to our table and asked how our food was just walked passed and was completely ignored. I feel that they knew that the dish we ordered was bad and this had happened before.. then after 40 mins I looked over and see the young waitress nonchalantly cashing up while there was people still eating, again might I add ( sorry to go on but it needs to be said ) after she finished walked past our table after now was 50 mins!!!! Then all of a sudden all the staff just left the restaurant and was in the back of the restaurant.. at that that point we decided to just get up and leave we left with out paying.. I was willing to pay if not left sitting at the table for 50 mins ignored. Funny this, as we left the restaurant we turned round and see the waitress appear to look at us through the window, she couldn’t care less basically. We the realised that she would rather us leave without paying then have another person complain about the food.. bottom line is if you want a pizza or pasta take away it fine but I have never In my whole life been treated this way in a restaurant absolutely shocking.. I strongly advise anyone to avoid this restaurant as a sit down meal and never order anything other than Italian, what were we thinking . It’s get better , upon our exit of this experience we undead up in a pub 2 mins away , we’re our delightful barmaid tended to our needs , then all of a sudden we befriend a couple who also shared our woes of dinner , they agreed poor . Overall pizzas ok , service shocking

Popped in for a bottle of wine and some pasta , to be fair it was rather nice , great value for money , cosy atmosphere nice clientele, but our waitress was so miserable ( large non Italian woman ) thankfully we have lots of restaurants to choose from in London , won’t be going back

We have been lots of times to San Marco in Bruce Grove, but we were very disappointed & discusted with the standard of food served up to us. The fish dish was not freshly grilled but cooked earlier & reheated via a microwave at a Very low heat to the point my tummy is not feeling well at all. The mains pasta dish was also returned to the kitchen due to been tepid / cold in temperature in other words reheated in a microwave at a low heat, we have had lovely fresh cooked meals from the kitchen before but the muck that was reheated & served up & fully charged for was a very sad evening for this restraunt. We shall not be returning & were very disappointed to learn that in fact the food served is not freshly cooked.

A lovely family run Italian restaurant. Staff were efficient and friendly. The food was fabulous. We ordered a variety of pasta and pizza dishes which were cooked to perfection.

These people really do know how to cook Italian and we ordered two simple dishes, which are often done badly in England, bolognese and carbonara. Both were great, with the carbonara, the texture of the pasta was just right, sauce light and eggy and not oozing with cheap cooking oil like most UK Italian places.

The food was ok, nothing special just a bad copy of the real Italian food. Service was simply disgusting. She brought a bottle of wine already open in the table and didn't even pour in the glasses. Then nobody cared about checking about the food till the end of the meal. We need to ask for the dessert menu and the tiramisù was nothing special. What is the point to even charge for the service?!

Very small place feel like you are sitting really close to each other. Pizzas are really lovely huge size value for money. Worth a visit.

When I have been here for first time I tried penne arrabiata and food was that delicious, that I have been there already third time in week for the same one. I really enjoyed that.

Lástima que no haya platos de carne con pasta como albóndigas o salchichas. Postre helado de tarta de manzana sabroso aunque no tenían tarta de cereza. El servicio era muy bueno y nuestra camarera era educado servicial y atento. Ambiente cálido amable y acogedor. Recomendado.

Encantadora pequeña joya escondida de un restaurante italiano, ideal para una cena. Fuimos como familia y cada uno pidió algo diferente. La mía era la lasaña, que era genial, los niños pedían pizza que les encantaba. El personal siempre estaba en la pelota. Puedo decir claramente que todos disfrutamos de nuestra cena.

We have been coming for some years and San Marco is still as good as the first time. Lovely friendly staff and excellent food. No fuss just good Italian home cooking. The price is also still very reasonable.

We ate here with four adults and one adventurous toddler. Excellent (Italian) food, and a good safe atmosphere for the toddler. The food is well-prepared, and arrives quickly. We enjoyed pasta, pizza, soup, and meat courses. Everything was great. A good place to come to as a couple or a family.

This is a great local institution. The pizzas are right up there with the best I've had anywhere. Definitely authentic and actually very cheap too. Service is quick. Don't expect fine dining or upper class pretentions, but once you scratch under the surface you'll only start to like it more. We love this place now and especially when the staff recognise you and get talking they prove to be very sweet. Could probably do with a little TLC (maybe a few table cloths!), and could make more of the outdoor terrace but it's worn-in look gives the place some of its charm.

I’d been craving Insalata Tricolore and happened upon a parking spot right outside San Marco after picking my son up nearby, what good luck! The salad was lovely and fresh, as was my pasta dish. My son said it was one of the best pizzas he’s eaten (he’s had a fair few), an excellent find, the staff were lovely and seemed to know lots of the customers, I imagine they must have a lot of repeat business and we will definitely be back!

Family run restaurant with homemade authentic Italian food. One greatest pizzas we ever had. If you have a sweet tooth definitely try their banana cake! (sorry forgot the correct name). Worth to check out if you are in the area.

Having almost given up on finding anywhere decent or open on the high street we chanced upon this restaurant after thinking that KFC would be it for the evening. Old fashioned 70s bistro styling is more than compensated for by the lovely food at very reasonable prices and excellent service. Well worth a visit.

Vine aquí con un amigo anoche, he estado queriendo ir, siempre he vivido en Tottenham, pero nunca tuve la oportunidad. Estoy muy contento que elegimos aquí para ponerse para una comida y un poco de vino. Gran servicio tan pronto como entras en la puerta. Tiene un ambiente encantador y un ambiente que te hace sentir como si estuvieras en casa. Mi amigo tenía el pescado con una ensalada de tomate y tuve chuletas de cordero con patatas. La comida era adorable, se llevó a cabo en la noche con 2 botellas de vino blanco. Acabé pidiendo una pizza pequeña para compartir como la mesa cerca de nosotros había una que olía muy bien. Creo que se llamaba napoleona (aceitunas negras, alcaparras y anchoas), aunque la anchoas eran super saladas que esperaba era fresco y una pizza bien sazonado. He recomendado a trabajar amigos y los miembros de la familia. Sin duda volveré aquí de nuevo, esta vez con vino menos :)

This is one of the best restaurants in Tottenham. Great authentic Italian brick oven pizza, many different types. Also real authentic Italian pasta & meat dishes. They also have daily specials. Try the sardines if they are on the menu. And don't skip the desserts!

In central London hipster-friendly pizza places are proliferating like never before, but nowhere in the nation's capital have we found pizza to beat that served at San Marco, with much less fuss and fanfare. Pizza here is the real deal - authentic italian pizza with a perfect, crispy base, a good range of tasty toppings, and incredibly good value.

"The pizza was perfectly stone baked" says my husband. I ordered grilled swordfish and I loved it! Furthermore, the white wine which was recommended by the staff hit me! Above all, we satisfied with our dinner here ;)

It's not posh and it's certainly not "nouvelle cuisine" but if you end up in a place almost every week and even 3 times in one week, they must be doing something right. We live a short train ride away and our kids live just round the corner. So it's become a sort of communal dining room. I've always enjoyed everything I've had but even if something goes a bit awry then feisty Paula will sort it out for you. You know how in some restaurants if you say "can you change this?" you feel terrible. Well here they deal with it, no fuss and keep you relaxed as well.Others in the family love the pizza (they will customise your toppings to exactly what you like) but I most commonly have the seafood tagliatelle, the sea bass (cooked in the pizza oven) or the prawns and warm salad. Members of my family have teared up if there is no banoffee pie available. The back ground music is chosen by someone who loves their Latin music and jazz so that suits me. I once took my vegetarian friend there and he was very happy.

Fantastic lunch at the greatest little Italian restaurant in north London and great to see Paola Rama and Graziano Parletta.

we stumbled on this place as Americans walking back to the station to head back to town. Service was delightful. Menu was solid Italian (Im not gonna argue about authenticity!) Atmosphere was energetic and warm. The food was filling and reasonably priced. Many would give it 5 stars but that takes a bit for my reviews now; however, it was down right good and a welcomed break from the crowds rushing to trains. Highly recommend you stop here and have a bite and let the crowds die down. Still gotta say: Go Spurs!!!

Five friends went for a pizza after the Tottenham - Southampton game (2-1). No problem having a table after game, and pizza and red wine (to much beer before the game!) tasted as pizza and red wine are supposed to taste. Good place for a pizza! Best experience was the friendly English lady 84 years that took part in our conversation. It's why you have to love old England! God save the Queen(s)!

SAN Marco has the proper atmosphere of an Italian pizzeria. Excellent choice and extensive menu. The extra large, rectangular pizza are a good choice if there are two in your party having pizza. The house wine is nice and reasonable in price. Efficient and kind staff. Try the tiramisu!

Been to San Marcos a few times and never disappointed. Had the rib eye steak last night which was cooked to perfection with sautéed potatoes and garlic spinach. My girlfriend had the pizza which was equally good and almost impossible to finish due to its size! Tiramisu and bannoffee pie to finish - both delicious. The service is attentive and very friendly and the pricing is good - drinks and food for four was £100.

This is a proper Italian restaurant. Tat on the walls and a pizza chef who looks like he's got a criminal record. That's not a criticism.I haven't had a single thing here which I haven't really enjoyed. Bruschetta, grilled sardines and of course their pizzas. Prices are also fair: a meal for two with a bottle of wine and starters is about £40.

Have been here a couple of times before in the past..nice local Italian. Had good capriciosa pizza (ham mushroom olive artichoke) and the 8yo had pollo San Marco (chicken with cheese and tomato sauce) and veg. Nothing fancy but very tasty and not expensive. They sell single pizzas or pizza by the 1/4 metre. It wasn't very busy this lunchtime which was a shame as the food is good.

We've been here a couple times now. The first wasn't great but we were ordering without restraint. Just returned after 2 years. We thought if we kept to the basics it should be ok. They have a pizza oven. So ordered pizza and wine. Very cheap at £8 for a pizza is amazing for London. The wine didn't arrive until after the pizza which were like a Dominoes. Such a shame as there are no good places to eat in Tottenham!

I went to San Marco for dinner with friends on a Saturday evening. We had to wait for about 30 - 40 minutes for our food to be served but it was well worth the wait. After we paid a waiter apologised for the wait and explained to us that it was a busier night than usual. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and food.
