Shockingly bad.£5 something for pie peas and gravy to go and the dogs wouldn’t even eat it. The pie was tasteless and had a thick layer of undercooked pastry, the peas were like bullets and the gravy was just coloured water. They must have worked really hard to get that as bad as it is. I dread to think what the other food is like if they can’t even make this.

I got a sausage, black pudding and egg baguette with two of my colleagues and it was awesome! Whilst waiting I was speaking with one of the owners who was really chatty. Really nice communication skills, which seem to be lacking these days. Scoff is definitely somewhere to go on a treat day. Awesome baguette filled with food.

Have visited Scoffs on a number of occasions and can not understand how anyone could give it a bad review. Food is always gorgeous and made fresh, soooooo much choice, farmers breakfast is unbelieveable. I could go on and on about how amazing this cafe is but visit for yourself you will not be disappointed.

Poor quality food for the price, full monty breakfast for that price they charge you would expect decent sausages not deep fried poor quality ones which you find in Aldi’s frozen section 10 for a £1, and tinned mushroom which were terrible. I’ve give 2 stars which is very generous, First and last time I go.

Called in for Breakfast and found it excellent for quality and great value for money . The best part was the very friendly staff and the cleanliness of the cafe and the kitchen .

We had an afternoon tea style buffet for my Aunt's 90th birthday party. It was freshly made, tasted wonderful, delivered on time and a good price. I highly recommend Scoffs catering service especially if you want home made food rather than the usual 'freezer to oven' buffets so often served up.I've only eaten in the cafe once as I don't live locally, but my lunch was lovely.

Great café for cheap, large portion, quick friendly service, if you are in Western Lakes. Not far from Ennerdale water, with it's great walks.

Organised a party here for 30 people. Shut off the back half of the pub. Ample space, incredibly cheap (but does not compromise on quality), well organised and everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Very well recommended. Thank you!!

We stayed at the Inn and ate in the restaurant and were delighted with the food - we were advised that the chef is new but they seem to have become well established by our visit. In particular the vegan options were lovely - a cut above what is often on offer for vegans in pubs. Please see my pic of the nut roast which our daughter said was delish 👍

Pool table still not working. It was broken last December! Asked staff for assistance with pool balls - absolutely miserable young lady, never spoke, rude! Two days later went back (bad idea!) and man behind bar was most unhelpful and resentful when I asked for change to use their pub pool table. Summary - made to feel very unwelcome at this pub. Why are the staff so unhappy here?? Somethings not right at this place - this lot need to sort themselves out. P.S. We had a lovely experience at the Bower House Inn up the road - lovely staff, made to feel welcome - advice go there instead.

I rang to make a booking for Monday January 6th 2025, your web site says you are open on Mondays. The booking was made for about 12 people. During the next hour I sent an Email about the booking to 10 people. I then rang 6 others, going through the menu with 4 of them and taking their orders. Someone then rang me to say you were not now open on a Monday, regardless of what your web site says. I then had to send out another email and ring people again to cancel the evening. I didn't receive an apology for all this inconvenience, just a statement of fact. I am not impressed. Carolyn Ashbridge
