Shaw Kebab & Pizza House in Swindon

This by far is the worst kebab hose we have had the misfortune to eat from. After handing over CASH ONLY?? the food was rank, dried outer kebab meat that usually is trimmed and wasted but served to us. Pizzas are grade C pre-frozen bases not hand made. Any business charging £1.20 for a tiny pot of coleslaw is scandalous when most provide this as standard. Avoid, there's a far superior take-away cross the road and much cleaner!

The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful and we enjoyed the food. The premises were clean and well maintained.

Really pleased with the excellent service and awesome food. This is not our closest kebab shop but is well worth the extra couple of miles. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is consistently of a high standard.

The food was honestly so amazing it was delicious. The service was also so fast and the food stayed warm for the 2.0 min walk back home and it was worth the wait.

Driving home late one night last week and feeling lazy, nipped into Shaw Kebab House in West Swindon for a takeaway chicken donner kebab. 5 minute wait, so gave me a chance to do the shop next door at Tescos. Filling chicken kebab, salad and BBQ sauce. Usual friendly and helpful service.

Always had good service and decent food from Shaw. Until my past two orders. Last week it took 2 hours to arrive and was at best barely edible. Thought I’d give them one last chance tonight. Order took over 2 and a half hours to arrive despite the shop telling me when I called it would be with me in 15 minutes. Another 45 minutes later it still hadn’t arrived so called again and was told they will redirect the driver to come straight to me. Food arrived, cold pizza, cold greasy kebab wrap burned to a dry crisp chicken wings and finally several times over fatty cold chips. New owners? Close down and do the public a favour. Bloody disgusting! Also no free bottle of drink as per the website. Jokes on me I guess.

These people are ripping you off. I ordered 2lamb shish kebabs , one medium and one large as I was hungry. They turned up with our cold chips and my boys cold donner and guess what, that’s right I paid an extra £1 for nothing. Charge an extra £2.50 and give people a large like they expect, not an extra £1 for me making a phone call. I also never received a free bottle of drink as promised on you web site. Joke absolute joke. You will never take another £1 out of my pocket and hopefully no one else’s 😡😡😡

Shaw kebab house, always do a good kebab! And because they were 10 minutes late gave me a free bottle of Diet Coke. They care about their customers and always deliver with good food quality. Definately one of the best kebab houses in Swindon

Don't waste your time ordering as they more then likely will take your order and not deliver. Would not recommend paying on your card and after reading all the 1 star reviews about the food I'm glad it didn't get delivered. Bullet dodged

Tried to support local business during difficult times, Awful food, tasteless and chicken burger not cooked properly. Tried to overcharge us when collecting order and showing no customer care and insinuating lying ...expected me to retrieve food from external bin during covid 19!! Can of fanta was the only thing enjoyable. Will never be returning. AVOID!!

Used to frequent this place quite a bit when the owners/staff were polite and courteous and the food was great. Now unfortunately, all seem to have gone downhill. Most notably the staff! So rude and non-attentive. Took my order wrong on 3 occasions in the same order. They seemed argumentative when I said I didn't ask for chicken! Once I got my food I left not knowing what I was going to eat. Luckily I do admit that the good was ok, but the staff let this place down. Don't want to comment more on the food other than it was ok. Won't be back

Best taste kabab?? more like gross taste the chicken donna tasted like it was frozen and the lamb donna as if its been reheated several times over a week. My cat didnt even show any interest in it and that says a lot. Worst kebab i have ever had. Not only was the kebab the most disgusting taste the pool at the bottom if it was enough for a goldfish to swim in. Arived 20 minutes late and cold if i could do minus stars i would.

Ordered Turkish pizza chicken, last Friday (5/5/19) and was very poorly after, normally have their amazing Turkish pizza lamb but decided to try the chicken, it was honestly full of fat, could hardly eat any of it due to this but on reflection I’m glad I didn’t as who knows how much more poorly I would of been ☹️ Ps hate leaving bad reviews especially when I’ve never had a bad meal from here but I also few it’s only right to let others know

I end up here once a year for a kebab and should really know better. The toppings on the kebab are okay but it isnt a generous portion of meat and its a tad dry. There is no pretence about putting any of this in the pitta bread (the bread is just left on the bottom of the plastic tray and the meat is put on top). They arent the friendliest bunch and talk and laugh with each in whatever language it is so you feel a bit ignored when you are the only one stood there. In the past I have found them a bit rude but they seemed okay yesterday (other than ignoring my presence). There better kebabs to be had elsewhere. I suspect I will end up back here in a year and wonder why..

What a piece of work this place is. We stopped off at Holiday Inn Swindon on the way to a wedding and wanted a quick dinner, SLOW more like.. was 35 mins late, we was told an hour so 1.35 hour in total. I had to call 6 times to ask where our food was, each time quoting the postcode even though they said our hotel name when I called. When it eventually arrived, the manager disputed why I was asking for a discount and eventually offfered me £2 off the total. Absolute joke! The food was ok, the chilli sauce was crap and was sweet chilli and the garlic sauce was mayo. Never ever again.. AVOID at all costs!

I use this Kebab shop out of convenience. Each time I go there I vow not to go again. Tonight hit an all time low. Burger completely overcooked, it is like the guy intentionally messed them up. Not only was the meat over done but he left the burger buns on the grill for nearly the whole time of cooking the burger. So the burger buns were hard and the meat was dry and overcooked. Do not get me going on the Chicken Kebab. I should imagine cardboard would not taste this dry. It was not even busy. No excuse - utter incompetence and no pride in what they are throwing over their counter.

Ok so I will actually have to tip these guys at Christmas after threatening to relieve them of tips during banter so often. Always friendly always get the food right. Cooked fresh and tastes great. Would class as the best in town now for kebabs. They do a mean kofte and always throw in some extra chillies.

Food is good but it was the 2nd time that the food was late.

All three kebabs we collected were moist, succulent, huge portion sizes and very tasty, I highly recommend this kebab shop.

Partner and I used to get chicken shish kebab every fortnight as treat with chilli sauce. Was amazing. Best kebabs ever. But has it changed hands? For the last couple months it's been awful. Chilli sauce is dreadful, we used to love the spicy sauce on our kebabs.

Have been ordering from Shaw Kebab House for years but.... The prices have gone through the roof and the quality has been terrible on my last few orders (thought I would give them a chance). I won't be ordering from here again which is a shame as I have been a very loyal customer.

Fast kind and nice people! Over the Road lies The Village Inn in Shaw... Where we waited and waited and waited for dinner. The purple haired, rat faced land lady with bright yellow teeth and more tattoos than you have ever seen, swore at us as a family as we left, saying we are 'barred' because we didnt wait any longer for our food!

The food was cold! Not cool but cold like the food had come from a fridge. Also the chicken was so over cooked it was beyond dry it wasn't even edible

They seem to have changed there suppliers, the last few orders have been terrible. They have always been extremely tight with the chips but it's other things now, the meat isn't quite right anymore and the chilli Sauce is awful! They used to have lovely chilli sauce which is part of the reason we always used them, it's since changed for a horrid celery like paste . I've since started using Frankies Kebab van and the food is amazing! I would strongly advise going there for a decent Kebab!

Useless. Ordered a kebab and only got half of one. Rang to complain and customer service was horrible. No attempt to fix the issue.

The order was wrong, the food was cold and dry and the sweet chilli sauce has been replaced with a horrible paste! Food fit for the bin!

Ordered chicken kebab with garlic mayo got mint yoghurt. Also a large chips but I would say you get more in a McDonald's happy meal first and last time I'll get anything from here. Shop didn't want to know when we called. Oh and driver couldn't find our house even after directing him to it he drove past the street several times but that was our fault apparently!!

years ago the kebabs were so tasty, but now the same texture of damp cardboard. staff seem miserable. get orders wrong. westlea kebab van seems to be the best now, kids chicken nuggets really cheap and nasty also

The food was ok, portion sizes small though and chips not great. But it took 1 and a half hours to be delivered - and was half an hour later than the confirmed delivery time by the kebab house. Don't expect food on time if you order from here. When I rang to check if it was coming the staff were quite rude.
