Great food and friendly service.

Visited here for a late night dinner while visiting Houston and was blown away. Best shawarma I've ever had. Everything was delicious, including the chai, and staff was welcoming and friendly. Easily a future go to for me and recommendation from me to others.

Cozy place to smoke hookah. Very tasty food.as usual always the best place to eat late and smoke hookah since it is close where I live.it is also the only Mediterranean restaurant closed to where I live. Every one knows me by my name.

Excellent service and good food

I’ve hit up a few Mediterranean spots, but Shawarma Grill and Cafe takes the crown—hands down the best shawarma I’ve had in the Houston area. The flavors? Next level. Shoutout to the amazing lady who welcomed us (wish I caught her name). She kept the vibe chill and made sure we were taken care of all night. This spot is officially in my rotation—can’t wait to roll back for more. If you’re craving legit Mediterranean eats, this is the place to be.

Went in as a party of 10 - food was horrible. Chewy beef old just pan grilled not worth it! Please do not serve old food. Mentioned to owner about bad food they warmed the same food and gave back. NEVER again - no discounts nothing INSTEAD 15% TIP auto charge. 15% Gratuity included but only 1 lady is the waitress running the show. Gratuity is based on service not obligatory?? Every sauce is .35 and any substitute is $2-$3 extra. I understand youre running a business but common. Your Entrees are already $14/15 each plus sauce? plus extra charges for substitutions? Please dont rob people in the name of halaal 🤷🏽‍♂️

Food is excellent. Especially falafel wrap, chicken wrap and Turkish sujok.

This location is small inside but has plenty of outdoor seating. It felt a bit worn down, but I wasn’t there for the ambiance. I ordered the Shawarma platter – the food tasted good, though I found the meat portion a bit small. The platter of dips was amazing, and the pita bread was decent, though it seemed to be store-bought from Phoenicia Foods. Overall, not a bad experience, and I’ll definitely give it another try.

Excellent Arabic food, the best of Houston

I recently dined at Shawarma Grill and Cafe, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! I ordered the lebne and chicken shawarma platter, and both were absolutely delicious. The lebne was creamy, tangy, and the perfect balance of rich and refreshing—a wonderful starter that set the tone for the meal. The chicken shawarma platter was outstanding; the chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked to juicy perfection, with just the right amount of spices that made every bite flavorful and satisfying. The accompanying sides complemented the dish beautifully, adding layers of texture and flavor. The portions were generous. Overall, Shawarma Grill and Cafe is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, delicious Middle Eastern food. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be coming back!

This is my families go to place for Gyro and chicken shawarma. We drive all the way from katy area to indulge. Every plate looks perfect and good to eat. Def recommend. It's hard to find good gyro meat and this place has the best thus far.

Best Hummus and excellent service

Best chicken shawarma in Houston and its not even close. Today is the third day in a row and its always as good. Recommended with a squeeze of lemon and fries.

The food was very light and delicious! And super fresh! The atmosphere was very welcoming and comfortable! Noor my waiter was so sweet! I beleive it’s a family business, so everyone was very polite and friendly, we had long conversations about the food and culture, and we absolutely loved her! I will be back again with my family! We had the pesto chicken flat bread piZZA and my dad has a cucumber salad with chicken! It was very delish!

Shawarma seemed like it was from yesterday or the day before. Neglected seating outside with spare parts everywhere. Hummus and the starters were good.

Food was great but I would only recommend doing take out. Atmosphere and smell are not good. Do not bring your date here. Chef and waitress were overall pleasant though. Ordered a gyro pizza which was delicious. I also ordered a gyro plate but instead was given some shredded beef plate. That was a server issue not the chef. Also the lady server never asked us for drinks when we got seated. Had to wait for her to come around a second time to ask her after five minutes of sitting. As soon as I walked in it had a dingy smell. Inside and outside needs to be cleaned better with fresh soap and water. Outside table had ants on them. Tables also look old and need to be renewed. Bathrooms need to be renovated. They smell and it looks like a garage. Also they have cats outside and feed them. Better to take them home. They give the shop a dirty alley feel. Menus are old, dirty, and falling apart. If I come here again, it may only be for the food and for takeout. And because the place smells inside, it makes me question if the food is truly clean and bacteria free.

Loved the lamb gyro and mint lemonade slush. Very friendly server. Has a hookah service when on the patio. Probably an amazing place to hangout during the winter. Will definitely get devoured by mosquitos during the summer lol

Authentic food, but much for the ambiance or service. Not a date night kinda place. More like a stop in for a sandwich for lunch kinda place.

This place is absolutely incredible! Every single item on the menu is incredibly authentic and prepared to perfection. Some of the dishes transported us back to a charming patio in Greece, while others reminded us of the delicious handmade food we've enjoyed in Dubai. The hummus, tabouli, and garlic starter sauce are all out of this world! Not only do they offer a naan-style bread, but they also have a softer pita bread that is equally amazing. I highly recommend visiting this place for some of the most mouthwatering Shawarma and gyros you'll ever taste. By the way, if you're in the mood, they also serve adult beverages and have a lovely patio area. It's an A+ experience!

This is my first time visiting this establishment, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. The food is absolutely delicious. I had the pleasure of trying the beef shawarma and the falafel sandwich, both of which were incredibly flavorful and satisfying. The service was prompt and efficient, and the restaurant was spotlessly clean. I will definitely be returning to sample the rest of the menu.

The gyro plate and wrap is delicious!! The greek salad was also fresh and flavorful.

Delicious, better than any food truck, it is very simple and basic but the food is delicious and the service is very good. The Lord of the top and the grill is A1, I recommend it

Not good AT ALL. I used Uber Eat to order and when I got the food, It was cold and I am a hundred percent certain that it wasn’t freshly cooked as well! The Shawarma had no taste, so does the fries and you can tell from it look that it was possibly cooked that 2 days ago. So disappointing NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN

Adored this Arabic cafe! Exceptional food and service. They offer a delightful mix of Turkish, Greek, and Arabic cuisine. The lady serving us is both professional and kind, making the experience attentive and easy to enjoy. The outdoor ambiance is cozy, perfect for late-night gatherings with friends and family. Plus the prices are exceptionaly fair. Highly recommended.

Everything about this place is excellent! I highly recommend the Turkish Eskander Platter and Gyro Platter or wrap. In spite of it being Christmas, the service was very quick and receptive to our needs (the food came in 6 minutes)! Will definitely be coming again.

Incrediblely delicious! I had the gyro with lamb, wife had a Turkish wrap. We also had fries and hummus. Everything was super delicious. This place is very clean and has great outdoor seating. Nur was our waitress and she ROCKED!!! She is multilingual, a customer service pro, and very informative about the Houston scene. Come here for some great food and hookah.

My husband and I came here for lunch. The food was great and everyone was nice. It was quiet and we were the only customers, but don’t let that scare you off. They were still filling to go orders ;) I got the Chicken Shawarma Platter and Tabbouli Salad and they were perfect. We will be back in the future.

Don't be fooled by its humble appearance. What they lack in ambiance they far exceed in terms of food taste and quality. Found them originally through uber eats (they're open late), presently surprised by the taste and quality of the fare, and finally had the pleasure to come by in person. Well worth a trip if you're looking for a no-frills, simple, tasty, mediterranean joint.
