Sheer Khan Restaurant in Manchester in Wigan

¡Muy decepcionado! Llegamos allí y estaba emocionado de comer aquí como se recomendó. Cuando llegamos al hombre detrás de la barra no era muy acogedor. , mientras estábamos mirando a través del menú obtuvimos algunos poppadoms pedimos pepinillo de lima, parecía enojado con esto como si no pudiera ser culo! Me gusta el picante que él no conocía pero asumió, Y para colmo tenemos arroz con champiñones que era tan soso con champiñones ENLATADOS. Normalmente no escribo malas críticas, ya que a veces la gente tiene un día libre, pero la cantidad de problemas que tuvimos sentí que tenía que hacerlo. Fuimos a Sher Khan un domingo por la noche alrededor de las 8 pm. Nos recibieron con una sonrisa y nos dieron popodoms hasta que llegó nuestra comida. Pedimos una jarra de pepsi que puede contener rodajas de limón. Una vez que lo vertimos en nuestros vasos para mí y mi familia. Nos dimos cuenta de hormigas negras dentro de nuestras gafas con se arrastraban hasta el cristal interior. Mis hijos lo notaron de inmediato. Le pedí al camarero que revisara la jarra y la pepsi. Sabía de inmediato lo que había pasado y se disculpó y nos dio nuevos vasos y una nueva jarra de bebida. Mis hijos se negaron a beber de allí y estaban muy paranoicos con la comida que se pedía.

Horrible, solía venir aquí todo el tiempo no ha sido por un tiempo y fue horrible. Los poppadoms estaban empapados de aceite. El pollo era muy duro. Las porciones son realmente pequeñas ahora y la factura es solo pedazos de papel con números. Los camareros se quedan mirándote comer porque no tienen nada más que hacer y hay tantas moscas por todas partes.

Personal muy agradable y servicio rápido. . . . Pero... la comida era un recalentamiento. El bhaji de entrada estaba bien, pero el main (chisporroteo Tikka) estaba muy mal condimentado y excepcionalmente seco. No impresionado. Naan para ser justo era deelish... Son lugares de orbes en La Milla así que ten curiosidad. Muy lejos de ser horrible, muy lejos... pero no necesitas esto con la competencia por todas partes

Horrible lugar, mal servicio, camareros malolientes horrible olor abrumador de BO, la comida no era buena, puri de gambas y tikka de gambas para empezar, puri era solo un desastre aceitoso, tikka de gambas era tan duro como el hierro, demasiado cocinado. Entonces los platos principales eran simplemente abrumadores. El lugar estaba casi vacío, pedí gambas korma, compré pollo. Ningún billete detallado tan seguro de que fuimos estafados, 90 libras esterlinas para 2 de nosotros era extorsivo por lo que tenemos, inaceptable hoy en día y la edad, merece ser cerrado

Although the food was of a decent standard, when it came to the bill, it seemed a lot more expensive than we expected!! The bill was hand written and illegible, no itemised printed receipts were given, which is a very strange practice these days. 🤔 The service was swift, but there was only a handful of diners to serve. One thing we did find off putting is that the staff seem to stand around watching you eat! There was also a distinct lack of atmosphere too!

Overcharged. Actually they tried to ripped us off charging the most expensive wine when we made clear we wanted the house wine. The bill came in handwritten piece of paper. Be aware

No idea why the reviews on here are so mixed, to my knowledge this is the best Indian in Manchester, I’ve been here a good 7/8 times now and have never been let down! Very reasonable prices and friendly staff also

Visited here on New Year’s Eve and the place was rammed. Been here a couple of times before and it has been fab. Tonight was a bit of a let down though. Had to ask four different waiters for jugs of water before some finally turned up, about 45 mins later. We were missing some water glasses, and we were given dirty ones from the table that had just left next to us. We said no thanks and got some fresh ones after. Food was delicious as per usual, and we left feeling stuffed. The servers are all really friendly, just very slow today unfortunately. Would 100% recommend on a quieter night, but never again for New Year’s.

WOW!!!!! Absolutely amazing food by far thee best curry house in Manchester! The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The place is very clean. Atmosphere is really nice and happy chilled etc

We visited Sheer Khan as a group of 4. It was VERY busy but this did not effect the quality of the food and the level of service. I was very impressed and I would definitely go back!

I'm hoping this is the same branch that I found in Meadowhall in Sheffield. What a fantastic curry I sat to enjoy whilst other family members made their choice from the varied eateries on offer. Highly recommended.

Un grupo de amigos siempre vamos a una casa diferente de curry una vez al mes y como parte de mi resolución de Nueva York me decidí a unirse a ellos. Muy contenta de haberlo hecho. Los restaurantes en la calle de Oxford son utilizados para grandes grupos encender sin reservación, y a las 8 de la tarde de un lunes nos sentamos y nos sirvió bebidas a menos de 20 minutos.

Me and my other half went here after coming back from Liverpool on the way home, must say it was very busy and we had to wait in the waiting area for around an hour to be seated, the waiting area was very basic not very many facilities like TVs etc. The gentleman who was meant to be showing people where to sit did not have a clue, he was very unorganised and we had to keep reminding him that we are next, finally forgot seated, and started to order the food, was expecting something great as it was on the legendary curry mile, food was of an okay standard and nothing more and the service was very poor.

Todos tuvimos una comida muy bien cocinados con auténticos sabores maravillosos. Uno de nuestro grupo no puedes comer comida picante caliente y que fue satisfecha. Confía en el camarero que toma el pedido su asesoramiento en la comida es indispensable. Nos quedamos un poco decepcionados...

After being recommended to visit curry mile to get a taste of the indian cuisine there was to offer, we were left slightly disappointed after a meal at Sheer Khan. First impressions were good, The decor of the restaurant was nice and stylish with an open kitchen at the back. The layout of the menu was good as it set out the curries in different strengths mild/med/hot.We all love indian food and all chose to have the 5 star starter.The food looked lovely on the plate but tasted very strange with the taste almost becoming too overpowering to eat. i can only describe it as being too fragrant like perfume! We all agreed that it wasn't too good and didn't finish what was on our our plates.The mains come out and they too were very different to what you would expect, a Chicken Madras come out almost looked and tasted like Tomato Puree! I did enjoy my main but was not too impressed as have had better curries before.

Excellent curry house wide range of choice on menu always try and eat there when in manchester for a night out. Parking on the streets is a bit hapazard. Must say best pickle tray for miles around.

One of the many restaurants on the "curry mile" and one of the originals. So many to choose from but we are really happy we chose this one. Decor is fresh and inviting, there is an open kitchen and the welcome and service thought was exceptionally helpful and friendly. This was topped off by one of the best curries we have had.

Nice place on the curry mile, however better quaily food at better prices on the mile.staff are good,friendly,could smile a bit more. the rice was tasty and nice .could be a bit more tidy, but for the old dog on the mile ok.

I took the bus the length of oxford rd rather than go into the city the meal was very average . I make a better veg biriani the menu said it comes with omelette it didn't when queried I was told only the meat dishes come with an omelette the irony that as a vegetarian you get less but pay the same. I mentioned it again that the menu should reflect this and was told that no one had mentioned it in 20 years no offer to discount the meal or not charge for poppadoms which were good.The complementary salad is good but ingredients weren't that fresh tasting but you cant complain wen its free .Ill go into Manchester next time

We returned here after first trying it a couple of weeks ago, and were again not disappointed. We had considered trying one of the numerous other restaurants on the curry mile, but having had such great food the first time we went, returned. Good welcome, efficient staff, and nicely clean laid tables ready with poppadoms, relishes and fresh salad to pick at while looking at the menu.We chose 2 mixed starter platters, including lamb chops, chicken tikka, kebab, onion bhaji, samosa, all delicious fresh and to be perfectly honest, personally slightly too hot, but this soon reduced and didn't actually spoil the food.Having stuffed ourselves on the starters, we shared a chicken curry, a house special, with rice and paratha, all again beautifully cooked and presented.The bill, including a couple of drinks was £40- bargain! We will definitely return again (and again)!

We have visited Shere Khan on many many occassions and sometimes like to go different places to eat, but some how always end up cominb back to were we started.The taste of the curry is like eating from my mums, and my partner enjoys it too. The staff given credit work hard and fast all night long always smiling and greeting customers, and they always the notice the same faces coming back again and again. Atmospehere is relaxed food tasty and your never rushed. Even the owner gets involved with the meet and greet.

A busy and quite trendy Italian restaurant. The food was really tasty and a little bit different from the run of the mill restaurants. Would happily return an do recommend.

Ended up here around 11:30pm after a theatre visit. Good service, an extensive menu and all round good food make this a curry house I will definately be returning to.
