Shipley Golf Club in Bradford

Tuvimos nuestra boda en Shipley Golf Club el 26 de octubre y fue increíble! Alice la Gerente de Eventos fue brillante durante todo el proceso de reserva y planificación de nuestro día - nada era demasiado problema. Tuvimos la ceremonia, recepción de bebidas, desayuno de boda y fiesta de noche allí, lo que hace que todo sea mucho más fácil de poder celebrar todo en un solo lugar sin tener que mover a los invitados. El día corrió como el reloj de trabajo, y todo el personal trabajó muy duro para asegurarse de que el día era tan especial como era. La comida era hermosa, no se perdió calidad a pesar de que sirven a tanta gente. Tuvimos mucha suerte con el hermoso clima de otoño, lo que significa que las fotos se ven fabulosas con el hermoso fondo del campo de golf a nuestras espaldas. No hemos tenido nada, pero halagos de nuestros huéspedes sobre todo el día, pero especialmente lo encantadora que era la comida! No podemos recomendar Shipley Gold Club lo suficiente para un evento especial! Gracias a todos por hacer de nuestro día de bodas el mejor día!

No fue la mejor comida que he tenido allí. Como un grupo grande teníamos una opción limitada en el menú. El plato principal estaba aireado, la carne fría - la parte más caliente de la comida era la salsa. Entiendo que aquellos que tenían el otro plato principal en oferta al menos tenían que caliente! Elección muy limitada de verduras - casi todas las judías verdes con una rodaja ocasional de zanahoria o florete de brócoli. No tenía postre como había tenido las mismas opciones en una visita anterior - me alegro de que me abstuve, no se veía mejor y los comentarios lo confirmaron. Mucho aparcamiento, escalones empinados hasta el restaurante, pero hay un camino alrededor si está discapacitado.

Went to a formal function at the golf club, first time we had been there for about 15 years. Easy to get to and plenty parking. Main drawback is you need to go up an outer staircase to get into the clubhouse (there may be another way round but never saw it). The meal was adequate although that might have been due to the choices the organisers of the dinner made. Ambience was good though and facilities excellent.

Absolutely fantastic night last night at the ABBA tribute. Superb food, amazing duo and fabulous DJ who played all the best tunes and had everyone up dancing the night away. Will definitely book again. Well done Alice, you are a superstar!

Had the most perfect send off at Shipley Golf club for my mum Rita Trickett on Sat 19th March 2022 Their Beckfoot suite is lovely, and their lounge has plenty of tables and chairs. It also has a spacious terrace with fabulous views of their green so we could sit outside. Alice Beeley was amazing and made sure every requirement was met, nothing fazed her even when 6 guests had to drop out with 2 days’ notice, she really is a superstar. She arranged to have 2 tables to make 1 large Memory table to display the flowers, plus framed photos, and a memory book for friends to sign. Their Bar had everything you could want, great service from their friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Their Buffet was all home made by their amazing chef: gorgeous sandwiches, mini quiches, slices of sausage roll, pork pies, plus scones served with clotted cream and jam. I ordered prosecco for the speech / toast which was handed round to each guest by their staff in readiness. Highly recommended, 5 stars!

Our family met up at the golf club for lunch and to listen to the live music on a Sunday afternoon.The music was brilliant just the right volume so you can hear it but still have a conversation without shouting.The food was outstanding well presented and just unbelievable could not fault it and the waitresses where fantastic could not do enough for you polite and always smiling a credit to the club and the view whilst eating was overlooking the course all in all would highly recommend this place

Attended a family wedding. Very attractive setting. Available staff very good. Food served and table service was very good. Unsure who organised the DJ but virtually all guests avoided it as it was too loud.

A fantastic golf course set in a beautiful part of Yorkshire, a true gem. Hospitality great and the course in pristine condition with greens that are so demanding. Will be back next year for sure.

We recently held a lunch for a group of 75 people. The food was lovely and the service excellent. The lounge/bar area is great for folk to mill around in before and the meal. The pricing is also very reasonable.

Celebrated my husbands 70th Birthday party here and cannot fault anything. From the time of booking with Natalie to the actual night itself was a pleasure. We had 51 guests for a 3 course meal followed by recommended Dj Riaz who was great. The food was great quality and the service both efficient and friendly, I would also like to thank Bob the chef ( nothing was too much trouble).All our family and friends have commented on what fabulous night it was, so BIG BIG thanks to you all. Would highly reccomend 👍🙂

This is the third year our group has had a celebration lunch. Last year it was excellent but this year it fell very short. In general the tables were well set and looked festive but the food left a lot to be desired. The vegetables were cold and undercooked, partly due to their large size and slow service. The vegetarian / vegan option was Moroccan chick pea pie which looked like a pork pie served whole on a plate with some cream drizzled around. The pastry was hard to cut but the inside was tasty. No attempt at presentation was made and no accompaniment apart from the cold vegetables. The sticky toffee pudding was a large slab of very sweet, sickly pudding coated in what appeared to be caramel sauce used for ice cream but with the addition of the odd date stone. It was overcooked and again no presentation or accompaniment. The coffee and tea were weak and tasteless. Overall a very poor meal for £19.

We were going to the club to entertain a wedding party last night. Arrive to a well maintained and pretty location with large car park and clear signs. Walked to reception and were helpfully told where to go to unload. Met by Ben, head chef, who introduced himself and had the staff make us at home. Party had approx 80 guests in the large and very comfortable function room. The band had plenty of room and the provision of power and lighting meant that little had to be organised by the client. Food for the buffet arrived on time at 8.30 when all guests had arrived and was served by four waiters from the kitchen, with four more running the bar so no queues. Honestly, the buffet of hot turkey sandwiches with stuffing, gammon sandwiches, vegan burgers, roast potatoes, salad, Greek salad, carrot salad, home made coleslaw and condiments was simple, but all agreed that food was prepared to perfection and it was the best buffet we have seen this year during our travels. If you have a party or special occasion coming up and wish to have a gathering of 40 or more guests, you should seriously consider this fantastic venue. Very reasonable and the finest staff we have met. 5 stars.

My family attended a 90th birthday lunch at Shipley golf club. The three course meal was fantatsic. Soup to start. Roast for main with plenty of vegetables to share between the table and a tasty desert to finish off an excellent celebration. Service was brilliant. An enjoyable occasion for all.

I visited Shipley golf club the other week for a friends do. The club was really nicely done out and the staff were well coordinated for the event. I want to especially thank the young man in charge (Jamie I believe) who was very eager to do anything he could to make this a special event and helped in delivering a lovely evening! Would definitely consider it for one of my own parties/functions.

A very well designed course. An interesting number of par 3’s and 5’s. Sadly, all winter tees are off mats which is a bit of a shame. But there are plenty of interesting holes and greens. I’m looking forward to playing off the main tees to experience the benefit of the whole course. The members I came across in the clubhouse were somewhat frosty and there is a need to use key pads to access nearly every space which a little bit restrictive and unfriendly. But overall a course definitely worth playing again.

I visited Shipley Golf Club on 20/03/19 after a funeral for food and drinks. When the buffet was opened I asked the chef Sean what food was vegan to suit my requirements, he was gratefully knowledgeable in what was vegan. As there was only the option of onion bhaji’s, Sean explained that he had not been told that there was anyone in the wake who was vegan, and that he would prepare me something “because it was important to him” that everyone was catered for. I was delighted when 10minutes later he emerged from the kitchen with three bowls filled with chips, vegetable rice and carrot salad: a very pleasant surprise when us vegans are normally met with hostility from non-chain restraunt chefs!!

The function suite is spacious, light and spotlessly clean. Bar service is efficient and a wide range of drinks are on offer.The buffet food was of a very good standard and it was replenished regularly.All the staff are pleasant and we were made to feel very welcome. Sometimes golf clubs can be stuffy places and your presence as a non member, a bit of an inconvenience. This definitely does not apply hereHighly recommended.

This is a traditional golf club. Very friendly pro and new buggies with sat nav.A 7th hole is a fantastic par3. Make a par and you will love the hole but I guess any number is possible here.The green fee is a bit higher than some in the area but worth it. I would recommend you play here as it will test all aspects of your game.

We were at the golf club yesterday for my daughters wedding ceremony and reception. I could not fault anything throughout the day. A totally perfect venue with the terrace area overlooking the course, very professional staff, superb food and very well organised. There were 75 people seated for the ceremony in the room attached to the main dining room. Whilst we were having the main reception meal, the ceremony room was converted to cater for the live band and dance floor in readiness for 120 people for the night do. The whole day passed as though the staff had done this on numerous occasions but I have had confirmation from my daughter that this was a first for the gold club to have the ceremony, reception and evening do. The attention to detail throughout was excellent. I would also like to say how welcoming the club members were as we interrupted their golfing day. A totally unforgettable day for all the right reasons. On collecting our car today, I was asked by several members how the day had gone and they were all genuinely interested and very pleased that we were completely happy with everything the club had organised

A group of 8 of us played this course last weekend, what a delight. We were made to feel extremely welcome by staff and members, they couldn't do enough for us. The course was in lovey condition, great sloping fairways, some lovey signature par 3's, a test for any handicap. A 2 course meal was included in our deal, homemade Steak and Ale Pie, chips, and Chocolate Brownies, it was delicious and served by very friendly staff. I would recommend visiting this course, we were a very mixed group, handicaps ranging from 10 to 36 and we all enjoyed playing it. A hidden gem.

Jugado en este campo precioso, el mejor de la zona, y seguido nuestra victoria pequeña con una cena en el club renovado.

Asistieron a un evento de corbata negra con amigos final del 16 de noviembre. Una vez que encontramos el lugar. Aparcamiento era más que suficiente. Personal amable y dispuesto a ayudar. Los precios del bar son más caros, pero lo que esperas. La comida era abundante y excelente degustación prensent bien. Lugar es bueno para la pequeña y mediana de egresados. Ir totalmente. Bien hecho. .

Undoubtedly the best golf course we played this summer. Kept in immaculate condition, it is scenic, challenging and a joy to play. The staff & members are very helpful, courteous & friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

This great Golf Club has always had an excellent reputation for its catering whether for casual dining or functions but the new refurbishment takes it to a different level - and I can only agree with the previous reviewer's comments.

Después de visitar el club de golf recién reformado me sorprendió gratamente. La comida era increíble. Solomillos cocinado a la perfección individual con verdadera papas fritas caseras. Hizo muy atractivo por el acompañamiento de champiñones suculentos grandes mullidas rosy tomates y arvejas frescas verde bebé. Sentados en sillas cómodas, admirando las vistas de los verdes inmaculada comimos correosos cubiertas con grandes merengues y frambuesas frescas de crema grasa yummmmmmmy bien hecho Bob

A private members' club where my dad was Secretary for many years in the 80s and 90s and where I spent many happy hours with him and his friends from the Dawn Patrol. Beautifully maintained and very scenic.

Golf course was excellent, well manicured, greens slick although it was nearly unplayable when we arrived. Waited one hour and the rain stopped and really enjoyed the course.

Estuve con un grupo de 20 el día 7 de septiembre. Excelente tienda pro shop y vestuarios. El campo está muy bien cuidado con 6 par 3 es todo un reto algunos muy difícil. También algunos buenos agujeros más largas. Todo el lugar tiene ese casco antiguo ambiente de club de golf adecuado sin ser hospitalario. Una buena prueba de golf para todos los handicaps y un muy buen hoyo 19 con algunos excelentes opciones de snack. Pruébalo. No te decepcionará.
