Excellent indian food, reasonable price and good friendly service. Best curry in Rochester! Went there on Saturday 22nd December with friends, had the mixed platter for starters, tandoori chicken main. Great night!

Tonight went to Shozne service was very slow took to a table waited 10 for a menu then asked about a drink with only 2 people in they starts come up cold curry was not to bad would not recommend

Whilst I can say the service is good, I feel £7.95 for a bottle of sparkling water and £4.95 for a latte is day light robbery. Good was ok, a few poppadums, a prawn puree main meal, chicken biryani, saga loo, and a peshwari Nan, nice bit not amazing, certainly not worth £64

American visiting for work. We didn't have a reservation but the staff made it very pleasant as we waited for an open table. The food was superb. Would recommend.

Excellent food and customer service

I am afraid we will not be visiting this restaurant again. We had a table booked for 5:15. There were 8 of us and a baby for a birthday celebration. They had no high chair and then would not allow the buggy in the restaurant. They were very rude, no apology and we walked out and luckily found another restaurant who welcomed us with open arms. The Shoxna was not busy that time in the afternoon. The staff need some lessons in how to treat customers. Shame on them.

We booked for a birthday meal as a family and had mentioned that we have a baby with us and will need space for a pram when booking. When we got there, they had no high chairs available so it wasn’t possible for my child to actually eat there; we then went to get our pram and were told off for putting it next to the table as it was ‘in the way’. I then said that we could move part of the table away as it was too big for the amount of people we had; they refused to move the table and then one of the waiters pulled out two chairs and sarcastically said they’ve made room now. We felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable that we just left, the waiters were so unbelievably rude and sarcastic. I spoke to one of them and explained how we felt and he literally shrugged and just smirked at me. The service here is disgusting, we left at this point and had a much better meal at Chefs of India in Hempstead.

Went for a meal there last night with 11 people from work, and I'd heard about Shozna from so many people that I was really looking forward to it. The table ordered a big variety of various foods and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals but no one was wowed by the food. I had a Rogan Josh, which is medium spiced curry and honestly it was really bland. We got to the end and the drinks bill was huge, and turns out the Cobra beers are almost £8 each (which is extortionate) but they don't list it on the menu, probably because people would pick something else. We all felt the meal was overpriced, especially the drinks and frankly underwhelming. A genuine shame, as there seems to be some good reviews but that wasn't our experience.

Me and my wife love going out for an Indian so we thought we would try the shozna, in fairness the food was good, but the drinks are overpriced and we felt very rushed on each course, I had heard they rush you to finish at the shozna and we definitely experienced that unfortunately...

Had heard the food was quite good in here... Wouldn't know as we didn't make it past the door !! Arrived in a group of 9, planning on spending plenty of money on a good curry and plenty of drinks... Turned away from an empty restaurant and told they were fully booked ! All vowed to never return for such poor treatment, and never have.

Can not fault this place, if you have any understanding of decent cuisine then you will be fine. Staff are great and accommodating, yes a little pricey but there is no comparison to other Indian restaurants in the area.

Spoilt my daughters birthday. Poapadoms and drinks arrived quite quickly. However then waited over 90 minutes for food to arrive during which time we were completely ignored. Food eventually arrived after several complaints and was cold. It had clearly been left out and forgotten hence long wait. Complained to manager who clearly did not care and instead of accepting unacceptable wait and cold food made excuses about being busy a la Basil Faulty. Did give 20% off bill but food so poor I should have refused to pay but as my daughter birthday didn't want to create a scene. Will not go there again. Worst restaurant experience I've ever had.

Disappointing. Watered down soap in the gents. The most watery mango chutney and thinnest poppadoms ever. The main course was far too sweet and seems to have forgotten the chilli in my garlic chilli chicken. Beautiful restaurant, of course, but expensive, will stick with Manisha next time.

Shozna is a popular place for takeout in the area, but dining-in with them is even more of a treat. The decor is impeccable with comfortable seating and the kind of wall and floor coverings that absorb sound rather than amplify, so conversation at the table is easy. Courses are presented with perfect timing, service that feels quick without being rushed. The dishes are a flavorful treat, and the kitchen is amenable to small adjustments (for example, I had no problem ordering a Paneer Makhni, though Chicken Makhni is what's on the menu. In fact, the staff person overheard me dithering over whether to ask for this adjustment and proffered it without my having to do so.) A wonderful surprise came with the bill: Shozna-branded chocolates and candies accompanied by a complimentary shot of Bailey's! I will definitely dine here again anytime I'm in the Rochester area. Much love and appreciate to the owners and staff of Shozna!

The best Indian restaurant in Medway on my opinion.

My visit at Shozna was a delightful dining experience that combines tradition with innovation. The elegant atmosphere and delicious menu make it a must-visit for any food lover.

The food deserves a five as it was exceptional, however the two stars is for the contempt and arrogance shown to us whilst being brought out food and placing our second drink order. The food and drink are pricy at nearly eight pounds for a pint of cobra, so I expect not to see smirks and sarcastic laughs from the senior waiter when my food is bought out!

Anyone who hires illegal workers for personal gain deserves 0 stars, Shame I had to leave 1 tbh.

First time for ages that we've sat in. Still just as good.

I went with my husband who has been there before and always tells me how good it is there. We went with 2 other couples the men have been there but us ladies had never been there. It was a fantastic night, the service was very good and all the waiters were very attentive. The food was very good and tasty. They do cocktails 🍸 I had a pina colada which was delicious, I also had a irish coffee to finish which was exceptional. I will definitely go there again and would highly recommend a visit.

Good food, but not amazing. Maybe the chef's special dishes are. A lovely interior but why do staff insist on sitting everyone so close together? The restaurant was three quarters empty on a Sunday at 6 but our experience was somewhat spoiled by the loud behavior of a group of guys nearby. You would have thought it was a Friday night at 10pm. And I would have to say it is overpriced in my opinion.

Been a longtime since been there but as good as I remembered, was a goodbye meal for son and family moving far away so was pleased it was a lovely meal

My friend and I stumbled upon this establishment while taking a leisurely walk, hoping for a quick snack. The reception we received from the staff was dismissive. Apparently, our casual attire wasn't up to their snobbish standards, and they made sure we knew it. Despite our simple request for starters, we were met with disdain. Oh, but they graciously made an "exception" for us, as if we should be grateful for their begrudging hospitality. Our table, if you could even call it that, was tucked away at the back end of the restaurant as though they were trying to hide us from the sight of more respectable patrons. As we perused the menu, we decided to indulge in a few dishes – Onion Bhaji, Vegetable Samosa, Manchurian Rice, and Garlic Chilli Chicken. However, our excitement was short-lived when we were presented with a measly two pieces of poppadoms, which we assumed were complimentary. Little did we know, we were being charged an exorbitant £3.60 for the privilege of nibbling on two sad excuses for snacks. Our mains took an eternity to arrive, while neighbouring tables were served a basket of popadoms promptly.

Thanks to the staff at Shozna's understanding of food allergies (unlike many other Indian restaurants/take aways) I have just had my first take away since being diagnosed as coeliac last year. The food was absolutely delicious, and staff were lovely. I will very much be looking forward to ordering again, and will also look to eatvin as the restaurant looked very nice.

Visited recently for a family birthday. Hadn't been there in many years so was nice to see some new decorations that were very tasteful. Food was lovely and the portions were superb as they always had been. Staff have always been lovely there and we were really pleased to see that some of the staff still worked there that had done when we ate there regularly several years ago; and that they remembered us!

Just had a meal @ the Shozna. Had high expectations but left disappointed. I had a very less than average king prawn madras & my partner had a jalfrezi he described as satisfactory. 2 cobras, poppadums & 2 main meals for £75. I’d really expect something good- excellent for that price. And we had to wait an hour for our meal. We will not be going there again & do not recommend it.

Disappointed with the biryani, the curry it was bland a filled with sweetcorn. The meat was nice and the naan was nice. Not value for money

Very good. A night out with friends who all enjoyed the atmosphere, food and service. We found it to be reasonably priced. Just be aware it is on a busy road with very limited places to park.

The food is excellent here. It is very popular so make sure you book. They do takeaway as well. Well worth going.

Amazing food, and incredible service. We ordered a takeaway due to the returner being fully booked and it did not disappoint. We had family visiting for far away and suggested we get a takeaway to which I responded, there is only one place! Food was on time, as suggested at the time of ordered. Stayed super hot for the 20min journey home and was so tasty. Albeit slightly dearer than the usual Indian takeaway it is certainly worth it. Absolutely no complaints. Great portion size, great flavours and they ensured the order was correct before leaving the restaurant. Amazing. Thank you!

currys were good but really over priced. offer English meals which is good for those that don't eat curry but not worth it don't order steak unless you want boiled beef! ALWAYS CHECK THE BILL TRIED OVERCHARGING US BY £160 TOTALLY DISCUSTING. WASNT HAPPY WE QUERIED THE PRICE THEY DIDNT ADD UP BILL CORRECTLY AND HAD TO CHANGE IT!

Great food, good atmosphere but we had to follow up on drinks order after a considerable wait.

Food was good, only real issue was the price of the beer they give you isn't on the menu. The price shown is for a small 300/330ml bottle but the size isn't listed on the menu and they bring out a large 550/600ml bottle which is significantly different in price. My initial thought was it was good value, until the bill was presented.

I started visiting the Shozna over a year ago and have now been a number of times. The food is some of the best Indian cuisine I have ever had, the staff are polite and attentive. The upstairs to the restaurant is a lovely dining space (recommend to sit up there when booking). There is a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Food is presented in lovely dishes when brought to the table. The restaurant provide warm hand towels after finishing your meal and complimentary chocolates / boiled sweets.

Lovely food and attentive staff, but over priced and despite booking weeks in advance, we were sat opposite the bar and near the door, which was really busy and cold. We asked to be moved to another table but our request could not be fulfilled. Not sure I would return. A really bustling restaurant, so if you want a quiet meal, avoid the weekends!

Best Indian food we've had in Kent. The atmosphere is great even on weekdays, and brilliant service. That said, the price of a large diet coke does not appear on the menu and is £5.20. This is far too much, but the thing that bothered us more was that we only discovered this when we went to pay. It left a bit of a sour taste after an otherwise perfect meal out.

Since my retirement held here three years ago I have driven past several other Indian restaurants and never been anywhere else for a takeaway due to the once superb Shozna. Sadly a recent meal in the restaurant was disappointing , four people on a small table pinned in a corner but more importantly the food now average, the chicken Tikka was dry and the prices quite high (£9 for six poppadoms and £20 for three drinks, water, one beer and a “ flat” Diet Coke). The numerous waiters were not attentive nor interested and had no personality. Overall the Shozna was average at best but with prices much higher than others and the quality on a par. I am sorry to say that will be the last time I visit here either for dining in or a takeaway.

Purchased a takeaway and using their menu on the Shozna website the order came to £89.50 When my wife picked it up she was charged £100.00 all but a few pence. When my wife showed them the list that we had ordered with their menu prices and what the total came to she was very politely told that they were very sorry but they had not updated their online menu and still had the cheek to charge her the £100.00 I think you will find that is actually illegal. For such a good order you would have thought they would have apologised and charged the lower price? The food was the usual excellent standard but can't for the life of me think why they think it was OK the treat a customer that way!!

We were a party of 9. Service was good but 3 of us were extremely disappointed with the overpriced king prawn shahslik. Do not order this if you like your shahslik sizzling. This was just on a plate and not sizzling.. When I complaint the waiter replied that they used to serve them sizzling but their smoke detectors used to go off. So we just ate the 4 prawns and left the peppers and onions as they were raw..

The Shozna never fails to deliver, great food, service and surroundings. Cannot fault it at all, you would be mad to go anywhere else.

Food and service is good, location and parking is a nightmare, watch out medway council will give you a parking ticket anytime of the day or night in so called restricted streets with no signage to advise, you will be better served finding a restaurant away from medway with parking. Such a shame as the food and service were good 👍

Had my first ever Indian takeaway tonight from here after having been to the restaurant a couple of times previously. Bloody immense food, ready in 40 mins. Was like eating at the restaurant at home. Food was glorious ( not cheap but totally worth it). HIGHLY recommend.

Have dined here on two previous occasions and found the food and service excellent. Decided tonight to try takeaway (as a first for Indian takeaway) and was so surprised at how quick it was to collect. The food was sooooo delicious - it was like sitting in their restaurant with our cutlery and crockery. It’s by no means a cheap meal but you get what you pay for and my word it was soooooo delicious. Definitely 20/10. Delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Shozna is very widely known to be the very best Indian around. Huge range of dishes cooked to perfection. However because it is so popular it gets extremely busy and extremely noisy with large crowds on Friday and Saturday nights.. But if you dress up smart casual (no large groups) you can request the upstairs restaurant which is very nice and much quieter.

4 of us dinning and once we had said we would not need anything else, we were asked to leave as they had another group waiting. We were not told of this when we booked for 6.30 on Saturday night. First time I have been asked to leave my table. A little embarrassing and will not be returning

We had an amazing meal here. Never been before and we were a large party to celebrate a friends birthday. Service and food were excellent. Easily one of the best curries I’ve had locally. I’m gutted we don’t live closer as I would use it all the time. Highly recommend!! We will be back.

Ordered takeaway. Portions all generous and delicious as per usual - in recent days feels a lot more expensive, so has become a much rarer treat.

We were there for a private party hosted by Dr Behzad on first floor. Food , service and atmosphere was all great. Staff was very helpful and active throughout the party. Food was hit and fresh, Naan were perfectly cooked. They also provided us the front courtyard for maghrib. 5 stars all around.

I've been to Shozna quite a few times now and all the times I have been have all been fantastic.. Such nice staff and service, lovley atmosphere and lovley lovley food and drinks.. I can honestly say this has to be on my top lists of restaurants.. Thank you so much Shozna 😃😃

Very nice food and tasty , it's been a while since I have had a decent curry at a restaurant. Everything tasted fresh and the service was very good , reminds me long ago when Indian restaurants were all good but some lost there way. Will be back if I am in the area again.

Very good Bangladeshi-English restaurant. While I tend to find curries in England in general to be too sweet, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the curries here, which had some more complex flavour profiles.
