The food is amazing, almost addictive with how nice the curries are. They know their spice levels and can recommend an amazing meal.

We have been going to Shukurs for years and in a nutshell: it’s wonderful! Incredible food, the kindest and most welcoming staff, and always, always delicious! Having taken many friends, they always ask to go back! The food never disappoints - no matter what you have. At this point we have tried almost everything on the menu, and many many things off the menu! The menu also caters wonderfully for vegetarians and vegans. We have even had some fantastic drinks - including a particularly 10/10 G&T that was a very happy hybrid of being somewhere between a G&T and a Mojito! Couldn’t recommend it more highly! We have spent birthdays & celebrations and rainy days alike here. The food in-house or as a takeaway always hits the spot!

Our first visit here and will definitely be back. The food was great, all freshly prepared, hot and well presented. The staff were all friendly and gave a great service. The whole place seemed well run, really impressed. Prices were reasonable for good quality food. The menu was very varied with some items we had never heard of before. They could do with a bit more information about each choice on the menu.

A proper genuine Indian restaurant. The staff here are fantastic, just the right amount of attention and speedy service. Great selection of Indian cuisine with a small menu of non Indian food to cater for everyone. We were a large party but the food came out all at once and the quality was superb. The spicy end of the menu left a warm sensation without being ridiculously hot, the naan selection was extensive and extremely tasty. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any Indian cuisine lovers, booking is recommended as there was a busy bustle the whole evening we were there.

We were recommended this restaurant by a local person so was looking forward to our visit whilst on holiday. Sadly we were quite disappointed. As they arrived a few minutes late they were rushing to get ready when we arrived. We were sat where staff were constantly walking past , answering the phone and making drinks so atmosphere wasn't amazing. The food was not tasty enough however the staff were polite. I wouldn't return sadly.

What a gem! Honestly the flavours are incredible. Tried a lot of curry houses around the area and this is the best! Such a warm welcome from Zain, greeted with a smile everytime! My recommendation is Chicken Thawa. Delicious!

Edit: 2024 been back recently and OMG am I surprised the upgrade that they have from the interior which looks amazing and the food dishes that have come out has been great 👍 absolutely loved the food, my favourite was the capsilla tawa and the 5 style naan.

I've never been so disappointed by Shukurs as tonight. Order wrong, meal wrong , no cutlery , had to ask for my drink again. meal undercooked. sauce too watery, overcharge by bill being wrong, just plain awfully bad service, I've eaten there for 10 years ..... and nobody seemed to care !....it seems to be the younger staff that they have now... I will not go there again even though I live in the village....

Were here with our 3 kids. Staff were very polite, and gave good suggestions. Had a lovely meal which the kids enjoyed too. Even though they are not used to eat Indian food.

Fabulously tasty food, our lovely waiters T and Zain brought us a special meat Thawa and it was wonderful. I have had curry all over the UK from Bradford to Brick Lane and can honestly say this is one of the best places. Consistently excellent.

Called in midweek whilst driving through the village at about 630 and already half the tables full, v friendly meet and greet, extensive menu, all the food was well presented, v tasty and large portions. We cannot fault here, we would recommend and will revisit next time we are in the area.

It was 22:30 when tried ordering a collection and was told can't have anything due to staff going home even though says close at 23:00 bad staff

Where to start? The welcome was warm and friendly and we were seated quickly. We ordered poppadoms which came with 5 delicious sauces. Starters were Sharma kebab and Onions Bhajis which were the best we’ve had. Mains were lamb biryani and chicken tikka masala which completed a fabulous meal. Service and attentiveness to customers was first class. We really can’t fault our experience and look forward to returning very soon! Thank you for a lovely meal 😊

Friend staff welcomed us into the restaurant. They kept the kitchen open to serve us though we entered at closing time. The food was exceptional. Had the five flavour nana for the table and it was lovely and different to any nana I have had before. The tawa dish was so full of flavour. Would recommend and come again.

This was a very good first visit to Shukurs, with skilfully cooked food, which was delicious. Service was very attentive with good advice on dishes: we were made very welcome. The best curry locally on this evidence - just hope that their food is of a consistently high standard, as some other local restaurants seem to struggle in this respect.

We have visited twice within a month after a recommendation from a friend in the village. This place did not fail to disappoint. Lovely, friendly, attentive staff. Very helpful and our table is always visited to ensure everything is ok. Portions are very generous, garlic nan is a must!!!! Really great food!

Never fails too give great food ,service and hospitality ,it was a very busy Friday night but our table was constantly monitored for our needs all food came out together for us a party of 4 and hot. A very enjoyable evening good value for money thankyou

Tried for a walk in but the place was packed so we ordered a take out, after eating loads on poppadoms and a few beers. Cant fault the place, service is always good and the food even better!!! Just wished they delivered in the village.

Lovely restaurant, food is always great, menu is clear and concise with well known curry options for those used to eating curry! Service is always courteous and friendly. Only issue last time was the air con was on cool, there were a large group of walkers that were whiffy. But they tried to defect the unpleasant whiff away from the other diners with the air con thankfully. Very thoughtful and much appreciated.

Quite expensive curry. None of the currys come with rice or naan that's extra garlic naan was £3.95 I had a lamb jalfrezi £10.95. No complentary poppadoms either they are £1.15 each they aren't even priced on the menu. Naan bread was great. Jalfrezi was nice. But not that spicy for me. The menu is very different. Don't recognise most of the curry names, I.e. no vindaloo, aloo, madras or kormas on there but some other currys never heard of with very little description to what they were I.e. chicken cooked in spices? I asked the waiter what a lamb handy curry was and just told it comes in a pot, it actually arrives in saucepan. We were large group of 2 tables of people around 19 people. When it came to pay the bill the waiter at our table refused to let us pay individually for our meals and said it would take too long so he took one payment from one person then said I'm splitting the rest equally amongst 8 people and you can sort it out. We were not happy but he didn't want to budge on this telling us its our own fault for not telling him we wanted to pay individually when we placed the order. The waiter on our second table was very reasonable and said I will process your bills separately when he had finished processing the payments individually from our second table.

Good food, good friendly waiters, they are really switched on and notice if you have any special needs; they know how to read and accommodate different types of customer Also they have plenty of staff here and the extra guys working the kitchen came out to help deliver all of the food to our table quickly and in one fast service instead of leaving the waiters to go back and forth repeatedly like lots of restaurants do. I'd struggle to suggest how this Curry House could be made better I suppose the food is a little mild compared to what I experienced in my harcore lager + curry days in Balsall Heath back in the day....? I can't really criticise these guys for that and I'm sure they would do something for me if I remembered to ask :-)... maybe next time...! They do take outs and sit down meals, they get quite busy at times, it was quite hot and busy when we walked in but the tables where we sat had fantastic fresh clean well maintained aircon running I had a refreshing spicy meal + draught Cobra was excellent. Parking nearby outside is quite good, be prepared to park a little way away. This is a nice old village Also one time they made a mistake with my takeaway order, gave me 2 chicken dishes instead of 1 chicken, 1 lamb. I let them know just so they have the information and the manager sent me a text message offering that I come in and have a free sit down meal. I didn't take up the offer, I just think they're really kind to offer something like that, tells me they really want you to be a customer forever, thank you. Curry and Beer... love it!

Shakurs always hits the spot! It's one of the best consistently great Indian establishments - we try and go once a month. The naan bread is top tier and the guys working there are always up for a little joke! Really good quality meat used in the tandoori dishes. The Panner shashlic is also banging if you are vegetarian & my partner always demolishes the Saag Aloo (its very coriander heavy so I would avoid this dish if you don't like that). Really generous portions, and the guys are always happy to pacl any left overs up for you. Book in advance if you want to visit at peak time or a friday or saturday night!

Not sure why it still is business, great service, comfortable surroundings but truly poor food. No fruit in the peshwari naan, very little little chilli in the chilli chicken and a sag paneer unlike anything I have ever seen before. I could go on about my fellow dinners food, but I really can’t be bothered. There are plenty of curry houses in the locale, choose and go to one of those and have a curry worth eating, or carry on going here and spend £50 for two drinks, no starter and a main course…..I know what I shall be doing….

What a place, being brought up with Birmingham/Balti Triangle curries, sometimes find it difficult to find a curry house that meets expectations, but this tops it everytime. Curry is 10/10, as is the service and all round experience.

This was a disappointing meal. Awful sag paneer, tiny bits of cheese and creamy sauce, bland and odd. Poorly diced over cooked meat in overly sweet bland sauces. Was the chef on holiday ?

Visiting from out of town and was excited to to visit this ‘award winning’ Indian…. My god probably the worst I’ve ever had in my life… party of 7 and every single curry tasted similar and was very watery… I’m not someone who complains but I’ve tasted better microwave curry’s from Tesco… avoid if you have decent taste buds…

Amazing food. Cooked to perfection... we are already planning a return trip to dine in. The ambience in this restaurant is fantastic.

I’ve been here twice now in the last 6 months once eating in and once collecting. Each time the food has been so bland and disappointing. The first time I thought maybe I just needed to try a spicer dish but this time I ordered a chicken tikka jalfrezi and it was still tasteless apart from big chunks of tikka chicken.

Have visited this restaurant quite a few times in the past, and had no problems. This time however I was extremely shocked. The place lacked any kind of ambiance with bright lights and no atmosphere at all. For some reason the owners have decided to cut costs by removing table cloths leaving bare wooden tables all of different wood as though they’d been to a car boot sale and bought any available tables !! Food was average and on the whole totally disappointing.

1st time here as moved to area was recommended by kineton fish shop and will b returning for a sit down meal

Have visited several times and food varies. Last night meals for all of us were bland and tasteless. Although couldn't fault the service, our feedback given to the waiter was met with indifference. Extremely disappointed. NB. Beware anyone ordering the chicken with ginger and mint..comes smothered in mushrooms which is not mentioned on the menu!!

All four curries were bland and tasteless. King prawn biryani had chewy prawns and it didn’t taste like a biryani. Feedback was given , but ignored. The service was good . Not to be visited again .

We were staying in the White Swan across the road prior to an event at the British Motor Museum and had expected the pub to serve food. However they recommended Shukurs to us and said we could take the food back to the pub if we wanted. Being a Saturday night we didn't expect to get a table but they managed to fit four of us in and provided a high chair for our friend's baby. The meal was really good and the service spot on. A pleasant evening that turned out much better than expected. All of us enjoyed the food and with two bottles of wine it came to just over £100 which was very reasonable for the amount we ordered.
