We ordered food and paid, then left as the place is awful! Not very clean.

Filthy cafe and rude service. Didn’t hang around long enough to try the food

Awful. Tatty interior, overcooked fish with undercooked batter (ill give them some kudos as this takes some doing). Food comes in take out boxes which you have to collect yourself with a wooden fork on it... no knife? And the contentious point seems to be the toilets, which are tatty and grotty. Sorry, but the worst place I have been in a long time

Lady Very rude to international guests of mine to minehead. Terrible customer service and atmosphere. Shame as I used to like it but will no longer return.

We popped in to get the children an ice cream and use the toilets. Not one of your members of staff greeted us after entering the cafe, instead we were met with hostility and pure rudeness. We also asked where the toilets were and were told “They are only for paying customers!” Which is understandable but no need to be so rude and curt with your reply, Especially when the children were looking at the choice of flavours. We did not feel welcome at all. The place was empty, lacking any kind of atmosphere, and quite unkept! My suggestion is that your staff go on a customer service course and maybe it might help the business in the future. We won’t be returning.

Apparently use to be a good place. But appears to have gone down hill. Although we ate in staff don’t deliver food to the table and also your expected to clean table yourself The ice cream sundae was about as different as it could possibly be in the pictures couple of scoops in a plastic drinks glass with cheap whip cream. Better off just buying an ice cream

Staff were like zombies not interested don’t bring food to table have to put own rubbish in bins ice cream sundae not as pictured half full! No wafer and when questioned said don’t do them even tho states do! Go buy a choc ice from supermarket least know what your getting.

Refused to let my 3 year old daughter go to the toilet unless i paid (which i was looking at ordering food but after that i thought no way), staff also seem very rude... then went to walk further down the road to find a toilet, and visited The Jubilee Café and were very kind and friendly staff and welcomed us very warmly! Very nice food, kids crazy golf on site, and they allowed my child to use there toilet before ordering food! No child should have to struggle with holding a wee for a business to earn a few quid! The Strand - DONT BOTHER Jubilee Café - HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I still know it as the Strand cafe. Last 2 times we've been to Minehead we ate breakfast here

If you want receipts in your beans then it’s sound

The food was good. But the cutlery is so old and really needs cleaning and polishing or just chucking away. It is self serve cutlery section where everyone’s dirty fingers go in to pick and choose. Honestly I had to go through so many to find just enough adequate ones for for 6 of us than I used tissues to self clean. There was still food residues on some from the dishwasher, just use a well known brand to clean your dishes or just provide disposable ones, or invest in NEW ones. Otherwise the food and drinks and ice cream selection are ok for quick lunch or breakfast. Yes like other reviewers mentioned, you need to be paying guest to use toilets, which we did not use. Quick lunch or breakfast by sea with the ice cream options. The vegetarian breakfast was good.

Won't be visiting again. We walked in sat down to order food. We went to the till to then be told they have closed the kitchen and they aren't doing food. Not once did anyone working co.e up to let us know. We were clearly sat looking at the food menu. 3 staff members walked past our table and not one out of courtesy came up to let us know. It's not hard to put a sign next to you menu on the window saying kitchen closed and it's not difficult to come to the table to welcome your customers and let them know the kitchen is closed!

We have been coming to mine head for years on end, we always used to come to this cafe for breakfast. We went in this year with our new one year old who is allergic to eggs. We went and asked if they could use a separate pan for some breakfast for her and they simply told us to leave and find somewhere else

We stopped for breakfast the service was great, food was amazing, if your out and about and want a bite its value for money. Sea view and food who could ask for more. Support the local cafes, and enjoy a good cooked breakfast.

Have used this cafe a few times on holiday and got caught short on the beach. Spoke politely to lady who refused to let me use the loo without an immediate purchase. Where’s the humanity? I will never give someone so unkind another penny. Life is short and if that’s what people are becoming then they need a reality check

Ham egg and chips was one wafer slice of ham and one egg. Really miserly.

Stopped here for a light lunch, the atmosphere is great if you like the classic English seaside cafe experience, which I very much do. In particular the service and the ambiance was great.

Simply the best Knickerbocker Glory ever! All of the ice cream sundaes here are wonderful! Dog friendly too and they now have doggy ice creams as well!

Lovely cafe does a nice breakfast definitely recommend if you like your full English

Food was simple but good, full breakfast was great, building and facilities somewhat dated, basic and sun faded, but clean and tidy. Pretty sure if we're back this way, then it will defo be on the list for a full breakie again. Jaffa cake Ice cream was very good.

Typical English seaside cafe Large variety og ice creams a bonus. Plenty of seats.

We ate here a few times during our stay at Butlins. Food was much nicer here than on resort. Recommend this cafe.

Called in for a cooked breakfast. Very friendly staff good food. Ideal place to eat on minehead seafront. Good alternative for a change outside of Butlins.

Run of the mill cafe, food was nice enough, service by the till a tad slow but all in all, nice place

Absolutely shocking service, I went for lunch but first asked to you the toilet for my 3 year old son and Was asked if I had already dined there earlier In the day I said no then I was told No buy a rude lady as I was not a customer, I have lived here all my life and never had service like it, he then went on to wet himself before we could find a toilet in time I will be making everyone online aware of the shocking and rude way we where treated

First visit to Sidoli's Cafe. To be honest we have been put off visiting on previous occasions due to the notice on the door about non- customers using the toilet. However putting that to one side out visit was lovely. The very friendly service we had was great. We choose two ice-creams and two teas to have in, both were lovely. The ice-cream I would say is highly recommend and I would certainly visit again. It is everything you would expect and want from an ice-cream parlor.

A lovely friendly, family run cafe. We've been going in here for years when we go to Minehead and it hasn't changed very much. Would definitely recommend whether you just want a cup of tea or a 3 course meal.

It's ok, prices are ok but the quantity is not quite enough. No way to prove what you ordered as we was missing beans but no way to prove we asked for them. You just get a receipt with total on it. So if you go in and order 2+ meals. Show them a list you have written down just in case.

Tried for an afternoon meal but found, shockingly, that food service ended at three! Settled for ice cream sundaes and a drink. Still the ice cream is superb.

Really nice coffee. Unhelpful staff. Awful sausage sandwich, cheap sliced bread, cheap sausage and the most disgusting tomato sauce. Not worth the price. Will never be back.

This cafe is wonderful shame about what goes on the inside but the food is nice staff is ok price range is not it's a shame it's not much tables but the view is beautiful so beautiful

The staff in this place are the worst I've ever encountered. They barely spoke to us. No social skills between them, wasn't greeted at all, just stood there and looked at us until we ordered. So miserable. If you don't want to interact with people you really shouldn't be in that kind of job. Ice cream was terrible both my kids left theirs behind. My husband had a taste and he said it was completely tasteless! We had a breakfast each and I wasn't a fan! I left most behind. Its so dated inside too I reckon it's not had a thing done to it since it opened its doors which seems like 30 odd years ago looking around, the whole business in general needs updating and a whole revamp! Staff included! We will not be returning!

Terrible customer service, rude staff, overpriced sundee, warm milkshake... The hottest day of the year so far... We were paying customers here (unfortunately) I asked them to refill our water bottle and they refused it... And than they told off my kids about making too much mess in the toilet (I checked it by my self straight after them and they did left a bit of sands around the tap... So what? You right next to the beach... Your business is here because of the beach...) Grumpy staff, clearly not enjoying their job and they not doing it well...

Always amazing food. The homemade pie is out of this world and the portion sizes are just right! Please make sure you leave room for one of the fantastic icecream treats the banana split or nickerbockerglories

Typical greasy spoon café. Low standard of food not justifying the price. In general times as an ice cream parlour it would be fine. But I certainly would not eat there again.

Woman serving was extremely grumpy. Asked if bacon could be well done but was told this isn't possible. We were hungry and tired so decided to get breakfast anyway. What arrived was very small for the price and the quality was poor. The egg was under cooked (white still slimy), toast and beans were lukewarm and you have to pay extra for a slice of fried bread!!

Massive choice of ice cream of the shop inside the shop wierd layout. Owners a bit snotty about who uses the toilets though . Fish and chip were a bit of a let down frozen food

Overpriced but expected food is average poor portions but the ice cream is really nice just a shame the lad put lemon on instead of coconut when I told him he said he would change it bu just scrapped it off so the since I hate lemon all I could taste was lemon on both flavours

A very nice seaside cafe serving proper British grub in simple, spacious surroundings with friendly service. Ice cream too!

Well where do I start? Miserable old women who clearly needs a career change, start off with I asked for a white coffee. Nope they do latte and everything else other then my simple drink and she was very blunt about it, wife asked for a tap water and got some weird look as if that's not acceptable anyways onto the food... Ordered 2 fish and chips for me an my wife. Nope rudely pointed out "cod and chips you mean?" Umm yeah? With mushy peas. Nope don't do this only garden peas. OK so what chippy doesn't do mushy peas? Ordered chicken nuggets chips and peas for my 2 year old son and he eats anything and even spat the first mouth full out of nuggets and I tried a bit and they where vile. So much for fresh food it came out within minutes of ordering it. Anyways rant over. And got given a code to go through some carboard doors pretty much to go too some scabby old toilets that's clearly been there since world war 1. Shame I can't give less then 1 star.

This place is fantastic variety of foods and, always a welcome smile when serving you.
