We always have great food from Simla! Definitely our favourite Indian takeaway in Stratford-on-Avon! The drivers are very professional and very friendly! Great value for money too

I have spent a lot of time in India and this has to be the most authentic tasting Indian meal I have had in Stratford Upon Avon. Will order here again for sure. Amazing thank you.

Avoid. Went to collect to find one man saying my order doesn’t exist, other guy saying they threw it in the bin (before my collection time), wouldn’t give me a new order or a refund! Awful service and just aren’t helping without Simla cooperation!

Great food lovely big portions, presented in a large box rather than piled on top of each other , the fried mushrooms were lovely and fresh and the Aloo Gobi was tasty butter chicken very decent .

My family have used Simla for many years and we have never been disappointed by either quality, taste or quantity. Our latest meal was as usual, excellent. The telephone ordering is simple and straightforward, don’t bother with the delivery fulfilment companies. We always order direct with them, and they always deliver at the time promised. Of particular note are chicken Korma, all choices of biryanis, the vegetarian balti, samosas and Peshwari Nan.

I have tried many Indian food takeouts in Stratford-upon-Avon, but I failed to find any authentic Indian food, but this place was very different, the food was similar to food that I’ve had in India. Excellent food and service

Ordered a chicken tikka balti and honestly for the 2 small pieces of chicken I received, horrendous meal for the price

Food was average as it was cold by the time I got to eat it as they didn’t deliver my rice or poppadoms - took 30 minutes to get this out to me and then delivered the wrong rice. I then phoned again and was promised a free meal which all I asked for was a refund on the rice - very kind until you order and then they turn up to the door wanting money for the food. Poor service wouldn’t recommend if you want a decent curry go elsewhere!

This is a review based on a Just eat order. We ordered our food and no rice and the poppadoms where missing. After a 30 minute wait we got delivered the wrong rice and where promised a free meal next time if we call up. We then phoned up and got told yes no problem, when the driver got to the door he then told us he wanted money for the food! Rubbish service would not recommend.

Always good food from this takeaway, good quality, dishes have changed a bit since we last ordered but still very good. The lamb was a little dry.

Possibly the worst curry i have ever tasted. Both curry’s were bland and watery. Mint sauce was watery, cheese naans had no cheese and egg fried rice wasn’t fried Safe to say i will be using my old faithful Avon Spice and will never return to Simla

The best Indian food in Stratford upon Avon. Piping hot. Absolute quality. Free poppadoms and chocolates and wipes. Simla, you are simply the best 👌

Unlike Simla (normally really good) but curry’s we’re all very watery, minimal chicken in any of the 4 dishes, and the saag aloo only had 2 potatoes quarters! Rice and Poppadoms were nice though!

Pickle tray consists of 2 x mint sauce and a very perfume tasting red liquid ( quite disgusting) the main curry was very watery and did not have much flavour. The best thing was the naan bread. Not the best Indian in town

Ordered 3 dishes. The chicken tikka pathia had no more heat than the chicken biryani or the saag paneer. Really disappointed because if you order a hot curry you want it hot. Not medium to mild.

Popadoms and sauces OK but biryani sauce appeared to have been made with tinned vegetables and all we could taste with the gunpowder chicken was lemon. Also very strange chicken pakoras - batter soggy and tasted very salty.

First time ordering from here due to visiting the area. Food was delicious, considering we ordered for 5 people on a Saturday night it came within 40 minutes. Very happy. Only small thing is the person who had the Madras said it was incredibly spicy

Not really a big fan of Indian food until I tried this place. The best chicken curry I've ever tasted. Would highly recommend.

Not impressed. Picked up takeaway within two minutes of then saying it’s ready and it was nearly cold. No depth of flavour to the railway curry, almost raw onion and almost raw garlic in the garlic rice. And stay away from the fried chicken ! No self respecting child would eat it. I’m sure my dogs will enjoy it though.

Local and our default Indian takeaway. Easy to order website and prompt delivery. Food delivered hot and with a smile. The poppadoms are sometime not fresh as they could be so rather disappointing, Other than that very good.

Tamarind special mainly consisted of a very large quantity of half cooked onions - not even mentioned in the description in the menu. Food arrived half an hour early which was very inconvenient.

Super food and will certainly order again. Be careful of the less spiced dishes that come with a whole chilli garnish, the chilli garnish is hot and not in keeping with the dish so leave it to one side. 😉

Definitely avoid. Only the chapati and bread is good. Curries are quite awful. They taste like sweet and spicy tomato sauce. Absolutely zero efforts to make it taste good. The colour of their dry chicken dishes looks like radio active.

I have used Simla for a few years now and all I can say they have never ever disappointed, their set meals are amazing and loads to eat but, they surpassed themselves when I had my 50th Birthday ,I had a few friends and family to celebrate mine and partners 50ths we ordered what I would call a feast and the food was amazing there was enough for double the amount of people, but the food was that good the majority of it was demolished. And it arrived hot fresh and ready to eat cannot compliment them enough, Thank you

Incredible time after time, best garlic chilli chicken in the UK, and the tikka masala for a bit of sweetness always!

First time ordering from Simla, some things great, others less so. The mixed vegetable masala Balti was mainly all onions! One piece of potato, a few peas and pepper strips but literally all onion! What about some cauliflower? Or aubergine? The sauce was delicious but I don’t want to eat a mountain of onions! The tarka daal was delicious, super smokey garlic flavour. the saag aloo was good but mainly saag with 3 pieces of aloo! The chicken jalfrezi was good and the chillies were super hot, my husband loved it. We ordered garlic naan but pretty sure we got plain naan instead which was a shame. Everything tasted pretty good, prices reasonable, we would order again if they don’t scrimp on the veg!

I ordered a lamb saagwala with mushrooms which lacked lamb and was more like spinach and mushroom casserole. I’ll definitely ask for more heat if I order again. Other than that it was mostly enjoyable.

Food was bland and collection time was 18:45.. we got a message saying it was ready at 18:30. By the time we got there and home again it wasn't hot.
