This takeaway shop has a lot of portions and tastes very good, much better than other places

The Chicken Chow Mein was tasteless and bland. The Chicken was mainly big chunks of fatty meat. We both had the same Dishes, and said it was not upto Simply Wok's usual standards. We had to leave most of our meals, as most of the Chicken was inedible, and completely tasteless. A complete waste of money, and a disappointment on a meal we were looking forward too

Brilliant. I live down south now and rue they don't have another branch down there, but always stop by for a special chow mein slightly spicey. 2 containers, one for soft noodles and the other crammed with meat and tasty quick-fried veg, for about £8. So 5 *s for quality, quantity, and value.

Staff were not very nice. Quite rude. I ordered a happy box food was barely edible. Chilli beef and crispy chicken was just batter nothing inside.....WASTE OF MONEY

Forgot to put rice in our order of over £30 when we rang to say it was missing they were very rude and said we didn’t order any rice. Food good very pricy and very rude people. Will not order from this place again. You have possibly lost a lot of money. Would not recommend.

Used to be really nice but quality keeps going down. Local used at least once a week for last 15 years.

Dish was spicy hot no taste apart from the heat. That's all it had going for it. Chicken over cooked. No time for customers.

Usually very good as I've said in previous review but on the latest order , 1st the drinks were missing & fair enough they returned quite quickly, but this time the wrong drinks were brought ! Not a major inconvenience but irritating , ( look at the order ) ????

Had tofu sweet and sour, hardly any vegetables in the dish at all just big pieces of oil soaked tofu which tasted old

Phoned for a delivery as a special treat for my birthday - they would not accept payment by card it had to be cash - quiet strange in this day and age! It states on their site that it is free delivery which it is not! Suffice to say we will NOT be ordering from them again. The food was very bland and quite frankly tasteless - most of it went in the bin!

meals ok ,but come on guys,put some bloody prawns on the toast ,must have been about 2mm thick,..... never again

We use this place regularly and can never fault the food. Despite this, every time I go,I forget it's cash only-good job there's an atm next door!🙄

Unbelievable food - best Chinese I’ve ever had

Hands down Best Chinese in takeaway Stockport. Great prices too. Try the ok spare ribs, salt pepper chicken, fillet steak Cantonese style, chicken chow Mein. All fantastic. You need cash in shop though as they only take cards on the website.

Lovely Chinese and the salt and pepper chicken is one of the best in the area. Always a great meal, delivered on time, hot and correct. We've never had an issue - highly recommended

Good food. Online ordering before you go, but its not the easiest to find what you want. They do deliver locally for a charge.

Collected Special Chow Mein with soft noodles - delicious as usual.

Duck and steak dishes both fatty, over-cooked and inedible. Phoned up to complain, photos offered of food in bin, to show that it had been thrown away. Refund was not offered. We will never order from Top Wok again.

Delicious. Just had a Banquet for two and there was so much food it will do two nights. The hot platter is delicious and we chose the sweetcorn soup which was lovely. I could thoroughly recommend a takeaway from here.

Tonight's meal was outstanding, thank you.

Simply Salt! We ordered - Chicken & Mushroom, Crispy Beef in Okay Sauce, S&P chips, boiled rice and seaweed. Delivered 20 minutes ago. Opted for this place as Wokever in Hazel Grove were very busy, so were constantly engaged. Tasted of nothing unfortunately apart from salt, and I like salr! The crispy beef was triple fried and black. The rice was the best dish but we dare not have eaten it. Had to order Pizza in the end. Lesson learnt - wait for Wokever!!

Had chicken cashews it was pretty tastless and sauce was to thin allso chips were over cooked not the best of take aways

Just had a banquet for 3. Soup was ok. Duck was deep fried mostly crunchy and 20% of it edible. Ribs burnt, prawn toast inedible, spring rolls, hardly any filling. King prawn dish, 4 shrunken prawns, pork char sui 4 slices that you had to cut up was ok. Now the fillet steak had never seen a fillet, more like flank steak, that was served as 3 small steaks to cut up yourelf served with a few onions and a sauce that was tasteless. Oh the seaweed ie cabbage was ok. A bargain for £60, I don't think so, never again.

Two takeaways from here so far and both been of an excellent standard. Friendly staff, good portion sizes, reasonable prices. Disappointing that pawn crackers are not standard with orders. Like being able to order online and then pick-up within 15 minutes and pay cash at pick-up. Would recommend and will use again.

This is my go to Chinese takeaway. Excellent food. Only downside is they don't take cards, it's cash only. Plenty of available parking at the front and it's free.... Bonus. Highly recommended.

Where do I start? Everything we ordered was inedible or wrong so I rang to complain and get my money back. 30 mins or so later a delivery driver arrived my girlfriend went out to hand him back what we had left of the food and to get a refund. The violent outburst from him to her was horrendous!!! I could hear him screaming at her from inside the house throwing whatever food was left over all over my front path!! He then phoned the police because apparently we were 'ripping him off' the police told me to ring trading standards and adviced him to move away from my property. Would never ever order from this place again!! Appalling service!!!! Would of given 0 stars if it was an option!!!! Totally unacceptable behaviour.

Nice food, nice staff. But they won't take card payment and in 2019 that's not great. They also expressed unhappiness when I we to collect a just eat order, because they lose some of the order revenue. I said it's because I could pay by card. I have 2 kids and don't want to stop in rush hour and get and baby and 7 year old out of the car to get cash.

Not good chips and spring rolls way over cooked, the beef was inedible really tough and chewy all of it bar one bit ended up going in the dogs bowl. If I had the say anything good, delivery was fast and noodles were ok

Had a take out Friday night and have been poorly with food poisoning since called to tell them but didn’t seem bothered no apology wont be visiting again

FOOD POISONING My partner had severe food poisening from this takeaway, I wish I could give zero stars and shut the place down myself. I've never seen anyone so violently ill before! AVOID

Been having deliveries from Simply Wok for years. We almost always have an amazing meal. Delivery is often very efficient.

Spotlessly clean. Usually very busy, sometimes a wait but the food has always been spot on. Kitchen area can be seen so you can see dishes being prepared. Never had a bad take away yet from ther and reasonably priced.

Shocked to get my takeaway home only to find raw beef dumplings & prawn dumplings covered in paper. Would not recommend.

For a takeaway, it's excellent. Dim sum are bought in but still very nice. You only have to see the guys cooking to realise that what they're going to produce is going to be top notch.

Good value, good quality, delivery charges or collection. Black Bean Sauce and Green Peppers is often marked on menus as spicy, but isn't, it is here.

We got our first takeaway from Simply Wok this evening....it was dreadful. We got fish cakes for a starter, they had a jelly like texture, were very greasy and we couldn't eat them. The main course was supposed to be fillet steak, that was awful too and definitely not fillet!
