Well done to Martin, Taylor, faye and the team at Sir Jack's, lovely place, great staff, carvery is lovely, one of the best in the area. Always look forward to going.

Waited 10 minutes for a table even though I booked online, waited over an hour for drinks even when paid for with the meal if we didn't ask we wouldn't have got our drinks even when paid for. Felt sorry for the women on reception in wacky warehouse as she was on her own witch she could have done with extra staff. We ordered 2 children's deserts one came the other one didn't so we had to ask again witch came in the end. Please advise when visiting use booking app online to avoid disappointment.

This place has massively improved. Really good mixed grill, always like Green King IPA, and nice service.

Lovely warm welcome and service from Abbey and Ian, a big hands up to kitchen staff too as the food was amazing cooked to perfection and the dessert was yummy too, would definitely recommend

First time for carvery Saturday tea time yesterday. Although busy at bar staff were very polite and helpful. Especially the lady who helped me with an app I wanted to use for a discount so patient. Couldnt fault the service. Food excellent and staff efficient. We would certainly go again. Thank you for a lovely meal and makes a change didnt cost the earth but quality served.

Great place to go for food or drink, the atmosphere is friendly and warming. Bar staff and management are incredibly nice and accommodating. Never had any issues in this place and lastly the carvery is amazing! Faye the manager is so friendly and pleasant to speak to and the rest of the staff are just as nice! Also since the renovation the place has a fresh look and is a lovely place to sit in

A warm welcome upon arrival all the staff were very friendly and efficient. Food was piping hot and plentiful.

I would leave 1 star if could. The fact I ordered a chicken meal,for my son and the kitchen had absolutely burnt it and put it upside down so we couldn’t see it. It’s disgusting. I always say - if you wouldn’t eat it yourself don’t serve it to anyone else.

Love eating here as I love their carvery because I cant have typical pub food chips etc. My only complaint is the dessert menu should have something like profiteroles

Took forty minutes for two breakfasts to arrive, and it was cold. Had coffee and one of the cups had a chip in it. Sorry green king but did expect better .

Poor staff involved with children .. need to teach them to interact...poor children's food as well .past ok but cold chips overcooked veg ..

Booked a table a week in advance for me & my 3 daughters, no table service took ages to get a drink at the bar. Waited 40 minutes for 2 burgers which were the wrong ones then 15 mins later we were approached by staff telling us we had got the wrong meals (rudely like it was our fault) 5 mins later our other 2 meals arrived and it was now 2pm. My daughter's didn't eat their burgers because they were someone else's. Used this place a few times in the past but won't be going again as it has gone downhill and is very poorly managed. Completely ruined a family meetup for Xmas.

Great good food no issues good value for money

All the team in the Wackey warehouse are fantastic, especially Jess, they can’t do enough for you. Jess was lovely with my toddler, and even gave her an extra sticker and balloon. My daughter loves it there and we will continue to buy the monthly passes which are a bargin.

Decent pub grub with good choice of beers. Nice and clean place with friendly staff. Stopped on the way up north and also on the way back. Reasonable prices.

After the refitting of Sir Jack, it's still the same amazing pub it was. it just looks even better now. The outside area is perfect for the summer months. Big carpark with plenty disabled parking. It gets busy at weekends, so book unless you don't mind waiting. Amazing carvery 5 stars all the way.

Absolutely love this place - been a couple of times. Massive shout out to Carrie-Ann, who gave us the warmest welcome, and Jess, who, after telling us they were fully booked in the indoor play section, came to find us in the restaurant as they’d had a cancellation. Great service by these two, kids loved it.

it was fine, not great but okay. I ordered a starter the chicken strips which only had about 20% covered in sauce - and the steak - I did order them as starter and main, but they came out together. When you young lady came out to check and asked if all was okay, I said its not great - she said okay and walked off.

Go every Sunday and a great carvery and those Yorkshire puddings need it's own plate

Called in recently since the refurb and I must say it does look nice, carvery has got a lot better a lot better to what it used to be great staff but hats off the the big guy (don’t know his name) behind the carvery he went the extra mile he was very polite, friendly and chatty to us and that really made our visit more comfortable, nothing was a problem for him there isn’t many places that do that so hats off to the chap Thankyou, we will hopefully see him again x

Went for the carvery very nice it was to. Had the turkey, beef and gammon were also available. Pigs in blankets were extra. Had the large carvery but the medium would have been plenty. The place wasn't heaving it was nice to have a good meal and not be overcrowded, quite enjoyed it.

Booked for a table of 10 when we arrived instead if being g taken to the table it was just pointed out to us. The carvery was amazing (one of the best I have had) and those that had food said it was really good. We ordered desserts and waited a d waited. They came to clear the tables and took a few of the plates then came back almost 15 minutes later to clear the rest. Eventually the desserts came out but 2 were missing, Eventually we asked where they were. The staff then checked the order apologised and said they would bring the remaining 2 out. One was brought out and they checked what other one was missing and said it would be right out. 15 minutes later we told them it didn't matter as everyone else had finished there's and asked if we could be refunded for the missing dessert. Once waiting awhile we were given the refund and left, no apology was given for the poor service. Overall a nice warm cosy atmosphere with nice food let down by poor service and attention to detail.

Good carvery first visit will call again.

We came for breakfast on Friday morning before heading to London the breakfast was ok but Ian is brilliant he is so warm welcoming can't do enough for you always got a smile for you we know him from story teller and he was same really lovely genuine guy thank you Ian for your service 😊 we will definitely be back just to see you made our morning keep up the good work Ian big shout out for him 😀

My husband had the pie which he enjoyed and I had the carvery, the beef was lovely. Both meals really great value for money and the decor and atmosphere was really nice too. We would be happy to return again.

We were a group of ladies visiting for our usual Xmas meet up. We all had a carvery as we always do, unfortunately everyone was disappointed with the reduced amount of meat served and didn't find this value for money as we used to on past visits.

Disappointing breakfast. Half of plate hot other half cold. Soft play really good, minus parents who can’t be bothered to watch kids.

Helpful waitress, friendly bar staff and carvery staff. Nice food. Warm atmosphere. Reasonable prices.

Great for granddaughter's birthday. Kids food great for the price. Fish n chips from adult section was absoloutly gorgeous and the Gammon was beautiful. Daughter had a starter of 3 for her main and thoroughly enjoyed it. The kids (5) got to play in the Whacky Warehouse for a few hours too. The whole thing came to less than £90. Well worth the money in my opinion. Going back to try the carvery soon I think!!!!

The carvery i had was lovely but the friend i was with who is a acrobatic gymnastics world champion she ordered classic burger and chips and wasnt happy with it. it was old and hard the staff did apologise and offered her a free ice cream. and drink next time she goes in but overall lovely place to eat out at

Incredible Steak and chicken with melted cheese platter, Staff are very attentive and professional, have been a regular here from the south a few times, top quality food and atmosphere 100% would recommend

Visited this morning - the new decor is beautiful and modern. Very accomodating, my little girl is 1 and had made a little mess, and despite offering to clean up the gentleman at the bar cleaned this up for us without any issues. Has a lovely feel to it and has a welcoming atmosphere. I especially like the moody jazz music that has been playing during recent visits! Will be returning, the food was lovely too!

Huge and modern Greene King pub. No character but lots of TVs for sport watching. Beer selection not very exciting.

This place is pretty OK : carvery is good if you go once, but the owners should better change the food sometimes.. Menu dishes are good but take a long time to get served

Great pub, just off the M18, friendly staff , carvery available every day, very popular, good choice on the menu.

Tried food off the standard menu instead of the cavery which appears to have lost it worth. Absolutely rubbish .......poor quality, cold and unappetising. Even more worrying is the lack of genuine concern from staff who give the same disingenuous robotic response. Last time we visit .

We had a engagement meal with family, but I would say the service could be better. There were things missing off the meals ordered, and 3 desserts got cancelled because we got fed up of waiting for them. 40 minutes and they hadn't turned up. I would definitely say room for improvement

We visited the bar pub today. Everything was fine, the portions are huge for a great price. The only thing that disappointed us are the sticky tables and all the menus were sticky and dirty. I recommend that they change clothes more often or wash them more often. We will definitely visit again so hopefully this will be fixed.

Went to the wacky warehouse for a party waited 20 mins for 2 cokes for them to bring a full fat coke instead of coke zero, luckily I'm not diabetic. Can't comment about the food but the carvery looked nice.

Genuinely friendly staff, best food and all round great place. Was quite busy but any place that's good to eat will be. Can't wait to come back. Also the steak and chicken with fondue was great.

Called in for a burger and pint deal, burger was huge and tasted so good, pint of more to to wash it down, amazing value at £10, will definitely be back!!

Stopped here by chance and it was a great place to eat, nice looking pub inside and out, toilets were spotless and carvery was great.

Good atmosphere and service. Food is just alright, only thing its got is carvery, which is nice when you want a quick and easy meal but it gets old when you only have that. The burger buns are dry, portions of tikka masala is not that much and katsu curry and steaks are good enough. Sometimes there are events that make it so busy and this is subjective but I dont like it, it becomes so noisy, food takes longer to prepare and waiters are never around.

Came last Sunday for a quick roast dinner, had been told there was a 20 minute wait we must have been waiting at least 35 mins. The veg from the roast ( carrots broccoli cauliflower) were all rock hard and not appetising to eat although it tasted nice it was too hard to eat. The mash was not food standard it was a powdery sloppy mess and was hard to eat off a fork it was that sticky 😂 pretty sure the mash gave me belly ache straight away or could have been something else. I’m not even a person to moan to be fair but the seating areas were rammed, the noise of glasses being picked up by the waiters harshly. It was all just overwhelming and didn’t enjoy being sat in there. Other than that doubt I’ll be coming again unless the food cooking standard increases and it’s not as busy.

Not the best food, the nachos were really soggy due to the chilli separating and pooling liquid in the dish. The jalepeno cheese bites and garlic mushrooms were decent though. However the service was fantastic, really warm, friendly and attentive staff :)

Had an issue with my order, no problem these things happen, I point it out to the gentleman serving me, who then blames me for the mistake even though it was clearly the fault of the establishment. The waiter then continued to argue with me about it instead of just admitting they had messed up, finally it was replaced with food only fit for the bin. The makeover of the place looks nice, but if you hire extremely rude staff, it will turn people away. Hence to say this is one long standing customer that won't be returning.

The pub is absolutely outstanding, first visit after it’s had a full refurb and it looks amazing, great atmosphere, foods amazing, we had carvery and it was unbelievable, plenty of people sat about having food off the menu and it all looked really nice would definitely recommend a visit here

Cracking carvery best I’ve had in a long time, piping hot and very tasty, served by Gareth very helpful and will definitely be returning for sure!!!

The girl that was serving in the kids play area was very rude I asked if there was any other home boxes to take food home because the box that I had had hairs in, she said no there is not I said can’t you check she said no so it’s getting a 1 star
