Sloanes Sports Bar in Sunderland

Visited recently whilst on a night out with family. No problem getting a table. Drinks reasonably priced. A cracking way to spend a couple of hours.

Christmas...time to catch up with old friends. Rather than trail pub to pub, we met in Sloanes Sports Bar. What a great atmosphere! We caught up on old times while shooting some pool, albeit unsuccessfully! A great three hours, highly recommended!

This was the second stop on our christmas night out. Really friendly staff, plenty of screens and multiple pool tables. We had booked a couple of tables and just got on with it. Would definitely come again.

Después de ir por la comida, decidimos que queríamos jugar al billar. Yo no sabía que existía, pero la persona Sloanes me sí. Yo diría, que es un poco fuera del circuito turístico, pero un gran hallazgo. Fue muy concurrida, pero aún había mesas de billar gratis. Los precios de las bebidas son muy baratos y el precio pagado por la mesa de la piscina también era muy barato. Nos cambiamos de £10 para bebidas y piscina. Sin duda volveremos pronto.

We went here for a post wedding get together with friends. Having previously visited once before and enjoyed it, we decided to meet in here for a second time. A pleasant relaxing atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks and good fun on the again; very fairly priced pool tables. We spent 4 hours here and some of out party had fun on the games machine aswell. Comfortable seating. The only problem was our group was quite large and finding seating for everyone was difficult, some were sitting on very high stools while the rest of us were on low settees. Perhaps the addition of more low seating tables would make it easier for larger groups? It is a sports bar though so obviously space for the pool tables must take priority. Everyone did however have a great night and for many it was thier first visit, and they were saying they would return, as would I! Very good bar.

Nice wee bar tucked away off the main drag in the cellar. Great facilities for watching sporting events, Offer free wi-fi, cheap deals on beers etc. Staff decent enough.

Friendly staff, excellent pool tables, good atmosphere. Overall great experience. Will 100% be returning.

Went downstairs to this bar with friends as I was told it had the best Guinress in town (Sunderland). Not a bad pint, but certainly not the best. It has some pool tables and slot machines. Not the place to take your girl friend or wife. It is very down at heel and needs a complete refit. Very dingy and dirty, poorly lit. Will not be returning.

We came here for a few drinks before the cinema and it's a great place. There are two different areas, one with pool tables and the other with a cosy seating area. The drinks are cheap and so is the food. Unfortunately I have not tried the food but I will be back to try it!!

Often come here to beat my mate at pool lol. Enjoy a few bottles of Polish lager whilst playing and sometimes have a bar meal which are very reasonable. The staff are great and very friendly. As its underground the only downer is bad phone signal but not that bothered as its pretty bad manners to halt a game of pool to answer the phone any way.

Called in before Arsenal home game Awkward to get served as people were sitting and eating at the bar! Not ideal! Cheap food and not the worst pint in the world Shame it's a bit out of town

Great place to kill a couple of hours playing pool. Cheap table rates and great drink and food deals and the service is always great. Some of the tables are showing wear and need sorting and have uneven rolls but most are good.

Love this place, a nice place for a drink in a friendly environment. The pub grub is unrivalled on price
