Slug & Lettuce in Wolverhampton

We had a great experience here for my brother and sister in law’s birthday, our server Ellie was fantastic, made sure our drinks were filled regularly and made our experience amazing, thank you Ellie!

I’ve been coming to Slug & Lettuce for years, but my recent experience was disappointing, largely due to the rude and arrogant behavior of one particular bouncer who has been there for years. I remember him from when I first started coming at 17, and his attitude hasn’t changed – always miserable and unapproachable. I bought a £60 cocktail tree 10 minutes before my friends were due to arrive. When purchasing it, I made it clear that my friends were on their way, but when they arrived, the bouncers refused them entry, citing some indecision about “last orders” or “no more entry.” It felt completely unfair, especially as my friends were sober. When I calmly questioned this decision, I was met with threatening behavior, with suggestions I could be kicked out myself. This felt like bullying – I never raised my voice or acted out of tone, but the way I was spoken to was completely unprofessional. It’s disappointing to have such an unpleasant experience at a venue I’ve always enjoyed. The staff inside were great, but the door staff need to learn how to treat paying customers with basic respect

Stopped by on Sunday for a cocktail, friendly staff. Of course, their Aperol is very bad, there is no taste at all, just water with ice.

Esta señora n necesita un aumento – nunca he tenido un servicio tan bueno y una buena relación calidad-precio de este establecimiento. Recomiendo 100% – cinco estrellas sin ninguna duda – pero siendo servido por Jess la cereza en la parte superior del pastel.

I was there at a peak time, ordered some shares, and the delays on food are higher than expected.

We popped for few drinks... Luckily there are security guys at the door who do good job. Nice interior decent price drinks.

Had my bday brunch here. Lovely place, drinks were flowing, our waitress Nicole was brilliant. Always made sure that our glasses were full and we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend this place! Thanks a lot!!!

I came here with a friend for an impromptu drink after work. As you can imagine it wasn’t busy but that meant we had fantastic service, the staff were great, I didn’t have to wait more than a couple of minutes before my wine was at the table. Abbie and Ellie are both so lovely, friendly and helpful and professional. Thanks ladies x

So this manager of the night saw my wife’s tray of shots get knocked out of her hand. I went to speak to the bar tender at the bar as gestured he said he will sort it as he seen what happened. He then asked me to ask the lady who knocked the drinks to pay for my drinks. Who the hell is going to pay for 6 shots if they don’t know the people. I asked to speak to the manager, he said he was the manager. He said he saw the lady knock the tray of shots out my wife’s hand, but he won’t replace the shots. No customer service at all, I then got kicked out with 5 others because I was asking for replacement shots. Lost a lot of business overall considering the rounds were £35-£40 for 5 drinks but hey ho won’t be going there again
