harvey was amazing, was very busy and he kept up with our orders and gave us great service. amazing waiter was very attentive and was friendly and happy.

Ryan and Gemma were absolutely amazing, catered to us so well, as soon as they saw we were finishing a drink they were right over to take another order if needed, make sure to check on us, and we’re very quick with they’re service. Will definitely be back for another brunch soon!!

Had a bottomless brunch, absolutely brilliant our waiter was Harvey. Highly recommend, great service, great atmosphere.

The worst fish and chips I've ever had. I asked for salt and vinegar. The server was gone for a bit and returned only with salt. Said he had to go upstairs to locate vinegar. Gone a long time. Finally returned with a new bottle of vinegar. I honestly wonder if he went to a nearby shop to buy some! The fish was gross. The batter was soggy inside and the fish was dry, flavourless, and just unappetising. Despite being extremely hungry, I found the food so unappealing that I couldn't bear to eat more than half of it. Never again!

Pathetic staff. We group of doctors organised party here . We felt humiliated by the staff , a few not allowed inside despite rationalising . Music was too loud elsewhere and when I wanted to speak with a college outside they would not allow us outside. I felt discriminated

Pathetic state of affairs especially the staff at the entrance. They were extremely rude and had no sense of talking and dealing with the customers. The irreverent attitude was very incorrigible as this has happened before with my colleagues. The policy of hospitality should be taught to the the security men at the entrance door POOR 👎

Bad Experience I’ve experienced racism from the staff . And 0 customers service !

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the treatment my family and friends received at your establishment on 03/12/2024 around 6:00 PM. We were enjoying our evening together when we decided to order some alcoholic beverages. One of our party members was asked for her ID, which she did not have on her at the time. The staff communicated that she could not be served alcohol without proper identification. In an effort to comply with this policy, I arranged for someone to bring her ID from home. Upon returning to place our order again, we faced an unfortunate situation. The manager, identified as Ben, along with a blonde colleague, refused to acknowledge the ID and made derogatory comments regarding our citizenship. Despite our willingness to have the ID verified through proper channels, we were met with dismissal and insults, rather than the respect and service that every customer deserves. We were ultimately asked to leave the premises, which was both humiliating and unacceptable. It is concerning that we experienced not only a lack of service but also a discriminatory attitude based on our citizenship. Such behavior is not only unprofessional but also harmful to your establishment's reputation. I believe that every customer deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their background. I hope that this complaint reaches the appropriate individuals within your head office so that no other customers have to endure the same humiliation and disrespect in the future. Thank you for taking the time to address this matter. I look forward to your response.

Absolute a awful time in this place ! Is been the worst service we ever received !! the ''manager'' Ben , has no idea how to deal with customer service , but more saying he is a racist. He even assumed that he is the owner of the place , and he s doing whatever he wants . he forced me to leave the place , because that's he's decision ... I visited Slug & Lettuce on Thursday and I had a lovely time. My sister and I went for bottomless brunch and the service was fantastic. Jordan (he had glasses) was very attentive and was checking on us to make sure everything was okay. I will 100% be back to this venue, I’ve never had such a lovely time at a brunch.

My sister and I visited on Thursday Evening, for a meal and a couple of drinks. Food was exceptional, service was even better. Especially the manager Jordan! Had such a lovely evening, will definitely return again!!!!

Great time was had by all! Drinks were flowing in good speed! Food was lovely! And staff were friendly. Staff thought our brunch ended earlier than it did so have us longer and another round of drinks. Brilliant. Jemma & Jordan were great!

Had food 6 pm monday 14th. Found a hair. Ben the team leader actually blamed me for putting my hair in my food, what was interesting is that he was happy to give me a refund ONCE he saw cctv. I haven’t heard anything so ridiculous in all my life. Either way as you can imagine i wont be eating here again. I don't think the GM at romford is gonna cut this one (maybe) i need to aim a little higher it appears. Wow. Whats annoying is the place actually serves alright food(minus the hairs)

We came for the bottomless brunch for my besties bday, and we absolutely loved it! Damiah was a queen at serving us quickly and she had banter, when i told her it was my besties bday, she put a sparkler on her meal which I found SO DEMURE,MINDFUL AND CUTESY. We loved every second of it and Demiah deserves a pay rise.

I came in with some friends on Friday for the late bottomless lunch. We kind of expected some restrictions or "small print" such as having to stick to the same drinks, but we were pleasantly surprised to find out we were free to try all the different cocktails on offer. As well as those, there was a free flowing supply of prosecco. Sometimes with these kinds of deals, it's nearly impossible to find someone to order another round, but our waitress Gemma (I think) was excellent, and always on hand well before our drinks got low. She was very friendly and helpful and really made our afternoon fun for us. We will definitely return and do this again. Thanks!

I had the best brunch with slug! The server Jess was amazing! So fun and entertaining. Cocktails always always suggested by her not a single fault 😍 Food was lovely however can’t eat much, gluten free options available and guided by Jess on what to pick. Will be back for our next event soon

A little pricey, but great service, they always remember my drink and it's a generally comfortable place.

Service was ok , kids were only allowed till five even though we had booked a table for dinner. My main problem was it stunk by the toilets. My table was filthy which they did reclean but it was gross. We ordered drinks beers and cocktails but they wouldn't do my daughter a mock tail even though they have no alcohol in . We finished our drinks and left.

The "manager" coz that s how he calls himself, has no idea how to deal with taking decisions, there is no need of describing the service, it was just awful, he s really good at kicking people out tho.

From the moment we walked in, the vibe was vibrant and fun., The highlight of our visit was the outstanding service from Ryan D , our server. He made the whole experience even more enjoyable with his friendly demeanor and attentive service. Ryan made sure our glasses were never empty, quickly refilling our drinks. The food was delicious, with a great selection of brunch dishes to choose from. Paired with the endless flow of drinks, it made for a perfect afternoon. Ryan was also great at suggesting the best cocktails to try, and every one of them was spot-on. Overall, the bottomless brunch at Slug and Lettuce Romford was a blast, and Ryan’s exceptional service. I can't wait to go back for another round! If you’re thinking of booking a brunch here, I highly recommend.

Damiah was our waitress today and I must say she would bring us straight back in. The service she offered us was 5*. She was so accommodating and the fact that she managed the place on her own when we first arrived in, she managed the floor on her own due to staff shortage and was 10/10. They are so lucky to have her as a staff member. Thanks to Damiah we had the best experience!

Went for a lunch, ordered a smothered chicken with fries and rocket salad. Did not receive the salad, chicken was barely cooked had an odd texture. The appetiser we ordered arrived after we finished our mains, my daughter had a burger meal, but neither her drink nor ice cream showed up. It wasn't even busy. The bartender was very pleasant but it seems the kitchen is haphazard.

Harvey was the best person ever, he was very consistent and very kind. He was definitely very understanding of our drunk preferences, which is why I would absolutely recommend this spot.

Only place I would go to after a long day at work and dealing with public transport! With a large selection of drinks and a decent sized food menu, it is the best place to go to with a warm atmosphere and staff who go above and beyond.
