Had the most unfortunate experience visiting this cafe and wasted a fiver. Despite it being open for business, all of chairs were on the table, and the floor was wet, A middle aged server told me to take a chair down. The table looked like it had been rescued from a tip. The tea was not mashed and reflected in the crude taste as well as the in advised or pre-warned that the tea contained sweeteners as opposed to my request for granulated sugar. The steak sandwich finally arrived and was as dry as an American comedian. I thought I was eating sawdust. I might as well as flushed them fiver down the toilet; only I couldn’t as it was ‘out of order’. I’ll give this cafe, one out of ten.

Not only was my gluten free bacon, egg & mushroom sandwich delicious the staff were very lovely indeed. They stock the excellent locally made JH Starbuck baked goods (for those of you that can eat such yummy things) and best of all I could pay with my phone on a day I’d left my purse at home. I’m so happy TripAdvisor helped me find this place. I’ll be back!!

Snack attack is a goldmine amongst an industrial estate!! The breakfasts are all excellent with really good produce and they have a large range of fillings for lunchtime sandwiches. Dinners are also available- burgers, chilli, home made pies, jackets and Mr B's homemade chicken curry is excellent.

I really did not enjoy the food here and won't be going back .I had beef and ale pie which was so sweet I found it inedable the pastry tasted of lard the only thing I found ok was the mash. We had garlic bread which was very bland couldnt taste garlic at all .my husband had wings and ribscand said it was ok but nothing special .I was really looking forward to the meal as i had heard good things about this restaurant unfortunately I don't agree .Beautiful surroundings though and some staff very pleasant

Chose Ashby decoy for a lunchtime finger buffet for a small funeral wake, everything was ready at time we’d booked, table laid for correct number, staff very helpful and attentive Food was very fresh and tasty, great variety provided, All presented nicely and as much tea and coffee that we could drink All in all can’t fault this and would recommend for anyone wanting a small get together Thank you very much

A little disappointed really, service was really good, but the food average - ordered the chicken kebab which was just okay, not brilliant. But the most disappointing aspect was ordering our dessert, but as we were after 9pm the kitchen had closed. We were late diners, arrived at 8.15 but when we ordered our main we mention we would like a dessert so when we were faced ordering and told, sorry the kitchen is now closed, we were left very disappointed indeed - not good really as the staff should have really come to us, but didn't. Ho hum - we dined out the second evening, great meal locally, far superior food and service.

Popped in here on an ad-hoc detour to get something to eat & drink (5pm ish). Building looked like an old fashioned type of place and advertised food outside the front door. Parking in the old stable courtyard around the back. Tight bar, low ceilings but offered good ales. The chef spotted as and told us that if we wanted food, Stew and Dumplings were fresh and a special of the day. Very much a locals pub, bar flies were friendly, TV on with no sound (News) and best of all. NO MUSIC and could have a conversion without shouting over any noise. Grub was bang on (Stew, dumplings, mash and veg) and a massive portion. £8 quid. Mrs. had Scampi, a mountain of chips and a lorry load of peas which she said was really good. Also £8 quid. Great pub, great grub, well poured beer and nice welcome surroundings. Rough and ready, no frills good honest place.
