We booked a private dining room for a friend get together. The staff were incredibly accommodating and the service was brilliant. The booking process was easy and they were very flexible. The food was pretty good. Easy and convenient location. Would love to come back.

Good food, large portions. Indoors can be quite noisy so not great if you're out for conversation. Fab staff. Excellent service, every time.

Very quiet environment the food is very good the staff is very kind with the kids and thoughtful.

Very costly food for a pub for half portion size. Took 30+ min for olives and a basque cheesecake to come even though the pub was empty. The heaters don’t work the choice of drinks are also limited. The washroom stank of piss. The compote on the cheesecake was watery. The buns of the burger was burnt. The olives were very salty.

Met here with a bunch of school chums in December. A party of 12. Service was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meal. The Ox Cheek Pot Pie was delicious. Couldn't fault the service. If anything it was too good! A little longer gap between courses would have been welcome. However a minor gripe. Is definitely arrange another get-together here

The only reason for only 4 stars on the food is that we did not like the smoked steak - other than that - an excellent venue with great staff and we will return. Thank you!!

Reserved a table to team xmas drinks before dinner. Lovely atmosphere and the staff could not do enough for us. Table service so no queuing at the bar. Will definitely book again.

The 'Coffeehouse' has been a favourite haunt for over 25 years- from before the makeover to into its current incarnation. The atmosphere was always an attraction and the staff continue to be friendly, helpful and efficient. The food is good, if not truly 'top-drawer'.

Great food and outstanding service

Came here for the Christmas menu for 8 people yesterday and it was a fantastic experience. Food was excellent, staff were friendly and very helpful and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas! Not my first time eating here and was just as good as before too. Highly recommended hidden gem in London.

Overall very good experience. Came here for a group party (12 of us). The staff were very helpful in the build up as our group size kept changing. Food and atmosphere were great. There were a few items on the menu that were not available on the day but didn’t impact our enjoyment

Fantastic. What a find! We had a group of 40 for a Christmas lunch. Everyone loved it. The staff could not have been friendlier, more helpful, organised and accommodating. Great English country pub feel just a stones throw from 3 major train stations.

We had our staff Christmas lunch here. The food was good and the service was excellent - we complicated things slightly when it came to paying and no one seemed to mind at all. The staff really added to our enjoyment :)

The food is always good. The service is always friendly. But Monday wasn't great. A busy Xmas lunch day. We sat next to the board that says give us a Google review. It should say something like "If you've enjoyed your stay, please give us a review. If there's a problem, tell us straightaway, and we'll fix it". We had to wait ages for our meals. That's not a problem in itself. No-one apologising or explaining, not even after we asked for service to be cremated, is disappointing customer care.

Our experience may not be typical - it was a very busy Sunday lunch time in December - but we would not return to this pub. It was incredibly noisy, the service was very poor, they had so many things on the menu that had run out, the food took ages to come, and the lighting was terrible. The sweet potato soup I had was quite nice.

Puntos buenos, La señora que nos atendió fue muy atento y trabajó duro. Puntos malos. Comida. Si esta es la calidad normal, o bien la gente acepta muy mala calidad o simplemente tuvimos una noche libre: 6 ostras pedidas - las ostras más pequeñas que he visto más pequeñas que una cucharadita. Aperitivo de mantequilla de cebolla de masa madre - tostadas más negras que marrones, quemadas 1 Porchetta. Nada como debería ser, 1 rodaja de cerdo enrollado con crepitación. Más grasa que cerdo. No muy bien. 3 fish and chips. 2 eran tan y tan, el mío era asqueroso. Lo peor que he tenido. Peces diminutos, masa gruesa y robusta que era sólida por fuera pero horrible por dentro. Puede haber sido el último de la masa, así que era demasiado rico en harina, pero nunca debería haber sido servido. Los guisantes no eran guisantes. Los guisantes normales se aplastaron un poco y menos que una cucharada de postre servido. Por el precio pagado fue muy decepcionante, pero por la calidad de la comida, deberíamos haber salido. Me reembolsaron por mis papas fritas, pero no me disculpé ni ofrecí nada más, así que mi velada se estropeó. Le habría dado 1 estrella, pero la camarera atenta lo empujó a 2.

Saw on Google and on signs outside the pub that they served breakfast. Went in at 10.10am and was told they weren't serving breakfast because they had reservations for Christmas lunch. Disappointing they can't deliver what they advertise.

Thank you for hosting our Psychology Xmas party yesterday. We enjoyed the use of one of the private function rooms upstairs and had attentive staff who were very helpful, especially when we had allergies to tend to etc. Tasty Christmas platters too

Very nice cosey pub, well decorated, good options, good service. Catered to us well and left us in peace when we didn't need anything straight away. No pressure or timelines from their side. Would come back for a longer visit.

I recently organised our work department Christmas lunch at the Somers Town Coffee House and have had nothing but praises on how amazing the event was and how lovely the venue and food was. from start to end the process was handled soo well by the entire team at Somers and the food was absolutely lovely and good portion size and lets not forget within a great price. Highly recommend it and would not hesitate to go back.

Finding this pub in this area of London was very unexpected. It’s more like a Home Counties kind of pub. I’ve been twice. On a Monday it was almost empty. On a Tuesday it was packed solid including the outdoor seating in December! Prices standard for London: near £7 for a pint and more for spirit / mixer. Toilets rather poor and smelly!! With what they take in they could pat someone to clean more often!

This coffee house is a regular for us as the office is just round the corner, so convenient and we enjoy the ambience. We’ve had various leaving celebrations here with substantial money spent. On Thursday, 28 November 2024, we came round to send off a colleague who was leaving and were sat at the Bar Garden enjoying the evening. Later in the evening, we decided to order rounds of chips both chunky and skinny and fully paid for. As we needed more, we decided to order another round of the same. The waitress brought the skinny chips but not the chunky one and advised that they were out of chunky chips and brought us potato skins as an alternative which we didn't order. The waitress was asked why the potato skins as we didn't order it. She then explained and a colleague said as we didn't order, was it complementary, and she apologised and said yes and that was the end, only that it wasn't! A Barmaid then returned to challenge us as to why we didn't pay for the potato skins and we explained the discussion had and that it was complementary. Lo and behold the bar attendant called Jenny became aggressive, rude and shouted at us to get out of the pub. She went as far as swearing at us, she was foul mouthed, drunk, rude and absolutely unprofessional. Jenny spoilt the evening with her bad manners and she is not fit to represent this pub as her behaviour was a disgrace and despite this being local to the office, we will not be returning and felt the coffee house needs to be aware as Jenny will ruin the reputation of this Bar.

Very nice comfy atmosphere, super friendly staff, im vegan and loved their options! The vegan chocolate tart Dessert was especially amazing.

We had a great farewell party for 40 people here....the Coffee House reserved a space for us and our waitress Tina did a fab job at looking after us...Thanks!

Friendly and helpful staff at this great venue. Busy at lunch but a good atmosphere, plenty of choice on the menu and a wide selection of beers and other drinks.

Visited here with some friends who had a train to catch at Euston. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. Food was good, average London prices. Just a short walk away from the station, but away from the crowds, definitely worth a visit.

My first time visiting. Met friends for lunch. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great atmosphere. We had a delicious Sunday roast, drinks and cocktails. We had a wonderful hassle-free afternoon and were made to feel very welcome. Will definitely revisit

What a gem hidden in plain sight. Great food, good options, great atmosphere. But the STARS of the show are the staff, they were all wonderful and so friendly. It made the visit. A massive thanks to the team.

La masa estaba crujiente todo el camino y la salsa de curry era inmensa. Podría haber bebido eso sola. Voy a hacer todo lo posible para volver y disfrutar de la comida y el ambiente de nuevo

Went last saturday 9 of november for a visit downstairs to Cosy and the customer service was amazing, also the bar was really nice. Really chill place and we really enjoyed our visit. Thanks once more! (Two finns playing cards in the corner) Also the staff upstairs gave us a nice welcome and recommended the downstairs bar for cocktails.

I went to the downstairs bar cosy with my friend and loved the vibe and the service was just amazing. The bartenders were very helpful in choosing drinks and very friendly and welcoming.

A charming, chill, and all-too-rare Independent tavern and coffee house tucked between Euston and King's Cross. Food looked pretty posh, but the vibe was neighborhood-friendly. While I wouldn't call this spot "cozy" (it's a sizable space), it's comfortable and it was neither empty nor crowded at 10 pm on a Friday night.

Good atmosphere, nice food (would have liked to see some chicken on the menu), exceptional service from the staff who were really friendly and attentive. would definitely go again when we're in London.

Disappointing, after years of coming here. Sad to see the cocktails included in happy hour has changed, and you don't get standard signature well known cocktails included anymore. Mocktails cost the same as cocktails in happy hour. Friend said hers tasted disgusting, and only had 1 sip, told the barman, and still had to pay full price. Cocktail wasn't nice either. They need to go back to how it used to be

I love the Somers Town Coffee House - where we were sitting was quite quiet which made having a conversation very easy (some pubs are too loud!) and it's a very relaxing place to be. They make an excellent espresso martini here. On this visit service was slow to start with - but it did improve. Also, this venue has only recently started doing a roast lunch on Sunday and it probably wasn't the best choice for me - my friend had fish and chips and that was much better. I will definitely be back, but possibly not for the roast beef.

The Somers Town Coffee House is a great spot for a meeting or a casual coffee break. I only had a coffee this time, but the atmosphere was so inviting that I’m already planning to return and try their food menu. The setting is relaxed yet lively, making it a perfect spot to catch up or get a bit of work done without too much noise. Overall, a lovely place to unwind, and I look forward to sampling more of what they offer!

Stumbled across this place last week looking for dog friendly kings cross venues. Will now be a staple - a good few veggie options. Table service. Staff were exceptionally brilliant. Not unreasonable prices. We'll be back when we need a nice option NR kings cross.

I attended a meeting here in one of the well appointed meeting rooms and had lunch in the bar. The sea trout and lentil dish was delicious and just right for a light lunch.

took the small mtg room for special time with 5 friends. room was perfect... great attention to requests and to us from staff... food was very nice... the bar and restaurant buzzed with friendliness....great location close to british library... easy to find. recommend highly

Lovely visit as always. Is a halfway point for a friend and I. But homely and cosy instead of the glossy places in the area. A hidden treasure, nice beer selection, warm staff and nice menu with unusual dishes. Eg. I had mushroom and leek strudel. Mmmm. Thank you Somers Town team - we'll be back to annoy you by talking too much and not looking at the menu!!! 😀

A very comfortable place - the staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is nice. My friend has a dog and it was welcome. We enjoyed the vegan strudel and the cauliflower steak a lot, and the crumble for pudding. Convenient for Euston and Kings Cross. We got the for five on a Monday and there were plenty of places to sit. Our new Euston-ish go-to!

Excellent food, quick service, choice of good draught beers and a surprisingly quiet (though it was 2.00 p.m.) We will definitely come again

The food was delicious. I felt sorry for the 2 staff who were very busy but kept smiling and provided lovely service.

Worst experience for a Sunday Roast. Served 3 of the 4 starters and then the team member turned to my husband and said, sorry we've run out of the Croquettes (surely you knew this before you served the other starters?)this meant he went without. The roast pork is described as "Pressed old spot pork belly, crackling, honey mustard jus, crispy kale and noted - all roasts served with pickled red cabbage, roast potatoes, honey roasted parsnips & carrots, Yorkshire pudding & gravy" There was no crackling the potatoes were hard, no red cabbage - it was so bad my husband sent the meal back (30 years I've known him and never known him send anything back). NO ONE came to the table to apologise or see if there was anything that could be done. The lady behind the bar just moaned all the time (not just to us but to others customer) saying "I'm short staffed, chef is not happy, not having a good day and I really don't care about any of it" I felt for the other star members who were clearly being pulled and being shown NO leadership from the Landlady / Manager / person in charge. I have worked in hospitality over the years and there are days when things do not go to plan and people let you down BUT you always put your game face on and show your paying customers that there booking and custom is appreciated. I have been here before for brunch with my girlfriends and drinks with colleagues, which is why I booked, but sadly I will NOT ever book again.

Sirvió a 3 de los 4 entrantes y luego el miembro del equipo se volvió hacia mi esposo y dijo, perdón por habernos quedado sin las Croquetas (¿seguramente sabías esto antes de servir a los otros entrantes?) esto significaba que se fue sin ellas. El cerdo asado se describe como "Vientre de cerdo viejo prensado, crujiente, mostaza de miel jus, col rizada crujiente y notado - todos los asados servidos con col roja encurtida, patatas asadas, chirivías y zanahorias asadas con miel, pudín de Yorkshire y salsa" No había crujido las patatas eran duras, no había repollo rojo - era tan malo que mi marido envió la comida de vuelta (30 años que lo conozco y nunca lo conocí enviar nada de vuelta). NADIE se acercó a la mesa para disculparse o ver si había algo que se pudiera hacer. La señora detrás de la barra simplemente gimió todo el tiempo (no solo a nosotros, sino a otros clientes) diciendo "Estoy corto de personal, el chef no está contento, no tiene un buen día y realmente no me importa nada de eso" Sentí por los otros miembros de la estrella que claramente estaban siendo retirados y que NO se les mostraba liderazgo de la casera / gerente / persona a cargo. He trabajado en hostelería a lo largo de los años y hay días en los que las cosas no salen según lo previsto y la gente te decepciona PERO siempre pones cara de juego y muestras a tus clientes de pago que allí se agradece la reserva y la personalización. He estado aquí antes para el brunch con mis novias y bebidas con colegas, que es por lo que reservé, pero tristemente no volveré a reservar nunca más.

Overall a nice experience, the waitress was very pleasant, polite, prompt and professional. Food was a little disappointing, not overly warm and it didn’t appear to be very fresh given we were the first customers through the door. I would return, but perhaps not for breakfast.

Service was excellent as,was the food and drink. Chef needs to know what Piccalilli is as that wasn't it but the mozzarella starter was superb. Good comments from my friends who were with me too.

I book Meeting Rooms here regularly for various colleagues and the staff are always really helpful and friendly, the meeting rooms are great, very reasonable rates for London, with a fabulous location for the train stations. All round cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you!

Nestled just a short walk from Kings Cross and Euston, The Somers Town Coffee House is a charming and dog-friendly pub that offers a delightful dining experience. The friendly staff provided excellent service, and the food was equally impressive. The roasts were hearty and flavorful, accompanied by a delicious side of crispy kale. The Caesar salad was also a standout. The pub's traditional decor, featuring dark timber paneling and beautiful crittall windows, created a cozy and inviting atmosphere. We were thoroughly impressed and will definitely be returning for another visit.

Excellent local pub close to my workplace for myself and my colleagues to wind down and grab some of the great food on offer. Unfortunately in recent weeks a large group calling themselves a local community group have been coming on Thursday and Friday nights and being very rowdy and antisocial and upsetting other patrons and clientele. If they could keep their disputes and overly intoxicated loud behaviour contained it would make it a nicer atmosphere for everyone. Many Thanks

Went downstairs and I ordered three gin and tonics for work colleagues and according to the bar staff, I wasn’t allowed to order it because I needed to drink some water as he felt I’d drank too much before. Just to make it clear, I’d had one vodka and Diet Coke. When asking him for evidence that I’d had too much to drink, he couldn’t give it to me. Absolute jobs-worth bar server.

We were a party of 9 and the food and service could not have been better! It was truly an amazing dinner with large portions and the atmosphere made it a very special evening.

This is a top pub with great staff, an excellent beer selection, a very good brunch menu (ox cheek croquettes, haddock and the full breakfast were particularly good. but the triple-cooked chips were bland and the French fries overdone). We were a group of 12, were served superbly and would happily go back.

A pub we like! Excellent food with fresh ingredients and recipes that are both simple and elaborate (Basque cheesecake absolutely off the charts!). Very friendly staff who serve with efficiency, lightness and humor. Lively and authentic atmosphere, comfortable chair, what more could you ask for! PS Gluten free friendly :-)

Located near the St.Pancras International Station, time flies in this awesome place when you're with your family and friends. Good food.. great choice of drinks and a warm atmosphere will make you come back for more. The outdoor seating is great, albeit, a bit cramped. The food is good. It would be incomplete without mentioning the service quality, which was really good. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if anyone is looking to have some good times with their friends or family over drinks and good food.

A fabulous community orientated pub with an amazing downstairs cocktail bar called Cozy that's open till 1am most evenings. A hidden gem around Kings Cross. Lovely food too.

Was able to get some delicious gluten free fish and chips while visiting. Was so hungry I forgot to snap photos but the serving size was large and very filling.

The Somerstown coffee house is a large public house in Camden Town. There is a very large selection of beers, wines and more drinks. The place is very clean and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. It is really large with plenty of tables inside and outside too.

Friendly place but £15 for English breakfast... and the bacon was inedible from being burned. I recommend going 30s down the road to Pinner's cafe it's half the price for amazing service and good food.

Just called in for a beer but will be back for food another time. Loved the decor, the place had a very nice feeling to it and the menu looked varied with some interesting versions of pub favourites.

Stayed upstairs in the b&b (bookable on Airbnb) and had brunch downstairs in the pub the next morning. Really great service and food. The Benedict with ham hock and bacon hollandaise sauce is incredible!

Loved the eclectic aesthetic, and the location. The service was very polite, friendly and highly attentive, only slipping a little when we were ready to order, partly as we had taken a long time to decide amidst the many appealing choices, and partly because it had gotten a lot busier (around 6pm). The food was simply delicious. Will certainly be coming back on account of this alone. Also recommend the cocktail lounge downstairs after eating. Only issue was my discount from The Fork was not applied. I remembered this morning and called back, and spoke to Tim. Apparently this had already been noticed and noted on the order - Tim apologised profusely and very graciously dealt with the matter. Will certainly be coming back for a second visit.

Our entire group of 8 loved this place. We stayed in the AirBnB that is above the coffeehouse. It was great to walk down in the morning and get a coffee and/or have a drink from the bar in the evening. There is even a speakeasy in the basement with specialty cocktails and friendly bartender. In the main coffeehouse, Ian and the rest of the staff were uber-friendly and made us feel very welcome while visiting London.

I was there early morning, not crowded at all. My friends and I had the full English breakfast, the waiter was friendly. The vibe of the place was incredibly pleasant.

I was here as I was waiting for a delayed train. I had to wait a fair amount of time. Even though I ordered simple things and watched the F1 on my phone. The staff were super nice. As if they knew I was just hiding from the rain as well as waiting. Had a couple of coffee's, ginger ale and a ceasar salad. All lovely! Thank you so much!

I had been in London 4 nights before I discovered this place, and wish I had found it earlier. The service was helpful and friendly, with my server being particularly bubbly and attentive. I've tried a few chain pubs in the area and the food was fine to average, but this was my first delicious pub meal in London. The Haddock and chips were perfectly cooked, and at a comparable price to the inferior products nearby. And you could tell the chef cared by the effort put into plating. It looked as good as it tasted. Full marks to the team. I had an awesome meal.

Ian was incredible, nothing too much trouble , we stayed in the adjoining Air B&B for a 50th weekend. The food was amazing , and early morning Bloody Mary's cocktails , breakfast just fantastic, and the Sunday share boards in the private dining. I need to say again that Ian made our weekend.
