I have been twice now and my friend once and the food is delicious, fresh and tasty. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend it

It's very nice and they have obvisouoky spent a lot of money on things. But most of the food is over priced and the menu is extremely limited. I would rather them concentrate on the food side more than the shop side.

We have just got home from The Black Horse pub and we had the best night. We live in Adlington and have been coming here for years. It changes hands often unfortunately and last time we came we were so let down. (Different owners then). Tonight was just fantastic. The food was the best we've eaten here in literally years. Fresh food, you can absolutely tell that. We took our little Westie and he enjoyed it too. Cosy, warm fire... Staff so lovely, food gorgeous, wine perfect. We can't wait to come back. They were SO busy today, and they all were working so hard. We will be back no doubt about it. Fingers crossed finally The Black Horse pub will STAY busy and keep making delicious food🙏 x

Excellent quality service by all, even helping disabled customers to carry items to the table without being asked. Highly recommended. Well done Costa Chorley ☺

Took my mum for lunch today and we ordered from the Christmas menu, I was bitterly disappointed when it arrived as I’d looked at the website photos beforehand and seen pictures of what looked like the most delicious roast dinner, so I was really forward to my food and when it arrived it looked nothing like the picture advertised and didn’t resemble a Christmas dinner at all, firstly I’d enquired if the meal came with roast potatoes as it didn’t mention this on the menu and I was told yes it did come with both mash and roast potatoes, when it arrived there was no roast potatoes, no Yorkshire pudding and it was swimming in gravy, and the beef was as just a piece of steak, it was quite possibly the worst roast dinner I’ve ever had, below are pictures of what I received compared to what is advertised 😌 Dear landlord Thanks for your reply but I think the 2 star was very well deserved the meal was absolutely awful, even if you think it was delicious, I didn’t!! I ordered from the Christmas menu and most Christmas meals come with roast potatoes, I did ask this question to a member of staff and was told it did come with roast potatoes! When it came out it didn’t your correct, so when I enquired they brought out 3 tiny uncooked roast potatoes, so I stand by what I say, you go to a place expecting a Christmas lunch to resemble something similar to their Sunday lunch surely! And to say it was swimming in gravy was an understatement and I’ve not even mentioned my mums meals that had 2 very burnt pigs in blankets, black and hard!
