Spring Vale Diner in Rossendale

The pub is in a lovely spot, and has had a beautiful refurbishment, unfortunately that’s where the good points end. The food is shocking. Served on chipped plates for a start with an abysmal side of wilting and browning ‘salad’ - literal leaves, and undercooked chips with zero seasoning, Not even offered any salt. Asked for sauces and was supplied literally two tables spoons of ketchup between 2 people. I regret not taking a photo to share, but how anyone could serve that and think it was acceptable was beyond me. If you want to have a lovely meal at a pub with a great atmosphere, stick to The Oxford! I definitely will be in future.

If you are seeking high quality pub food with excellent service, you can’t get much better than The Whitchaff. Ever since its refurbishment, it has gone up to another level. The menu is so big, but I am yet to have a poor meal there and I have been there for many business and family meals.
