AVOID this place! They re-use & re-heat used food from previous days. Food & Hygiene would have a field day. They do not pay their staff on time, if at all (yet advertise for more staff). I would normally SUPPORT local businesses, but NOT this one.

Nice coffee and good selection of cakes. There was hot food available but this time we did not want any. Lots of people were having more substantial meals.

lovely bakery, lovely owners - now can partake indoors. Although limited in internal space, this more than made up by the wonderful bakery products. Recommend the baguettes which can be made on site if sold out!

Visited Hungerford to shop for shoes, after we looked for a Cafe for tea and some food . We entered the Squires Bakery and Cafe ,ordered a egg mayo baguette and two teas. Both were nice ,tea hot and the baguette was filled with enough filling and a small salad .Large selection of things to eat from baguettes , jacket potatoes , breakfasts , pies etc .A nice Cafe worth a visit .

Have been a few times and it’s been nice but today it seems the owner was around for the first time that I’ve seen him. His attitude was something I can’t explain, rude to say the least! Comes across very intimidating and only seems to favour his regulars… after speaking to other regulars they all said he’s not been around for a while and that he likes to push his weight around when he’s on site. Definitely will not be going again. Shame really….. typical Irish

Last week we held a celebratory dinner at Miah's Pangbourne. There were 13 family members celebrating our daughter's and granddaughter's birthdays. The manager kindly arranged the tables so we all sat together and he had put up a couple of balloons, a birthday banner and sparkles strewn on the tables. A nice gesture. Together with our own balloons it created a festive atmosphere. We have eaten at Miah's before and always enjoyed their food. There was a unanimous vote of satisfaction and enjoyment of the various dishes ordered by each one. A small disappointment were the parathas which were rather leathery and a couple of the younger ones who ordered these could not eat them. We did not mention this at the time but having asked to take them home it became evident that they were definitely not made well. However the rest of the services was definitely a success. There were many sounds of ooohs and Aarhs as each tasted their dishes. The service was attentive and polite without being intrusive. Whilst the prices have increased since Covid-19 this makes it difficult to eat at restaurants more often but we hope to return to Miah's in the not too distant future. Thank you Miah's for a very enjoyable celebratory dinner. 👏👏👏. THE PRICES!!!

Feeling bereft of the previous place, Peking Chef, who we enjoyed lots of amazing takeaways from. First takeaway tonight under new management and unfortunately it was inedible. Ordered Malaysia Chef Sambal chicken and Beef with ginger and spring onions. Both were slimey and the meat a really weird texture. Usual nice crispy chilli beef was so tough. Only thing edible from our £43 order were the chicken balls. Total waste of money which is extremely annoying as takeaways are treats and we're obviously still hungry! Sorry, won't be ordering again and we're really sad to have lost our trusty local Chinese takeaway.
