Great place for delicious food and drinks. Brilliant service and atmosphere. Highly recommended 👌

Most probably the rudest wetherspoons I've visited. If you are not local you will not be served and left standing at the bar. We were asked to move because someone else wanted to move there table to make more room for them.

First visit on 6th November. Really big pub with high ceilings as it used to be a bank. Plenty of space and light. It's a Wetherspoon pub so you know what you're getting.

I had a coffee, which is refillable, and scrambled eggs on toast... Nothing special, but reasonable price, as are all JDs. Lovely big charactful building.

Was okay. One of my drinks had floaters in it. Ordered another drink and the guy walked off and served someone else so not great.

Good breakfast venue - nice for a spoons but as usual the toilets are located in a nearby town accessed via a circuitous route

Cheap beer! The food is genuinely alright as well and very affordable. It's a Wetherspoon, what do you expect?

Meet friends there sometimes,food is acceptable but average. Like refill hot drink option. Able to sit all day if you want. Good place to chat to friends without feeling you have only time to eat and drink and are expected to leave

It's a big comfy well run Spoons, just what we needed. Came for a rest, some coffee and lunch.

come into today , a group of 4 just looking for some food. we orderd 2 American burgers, 1 mixed grill and 1 gourmet 8oz serlion steak. the steak was orderd as rear and came beyond well done and burnt …. Chips were frozen in the middle and peppercorn sauce had been left that long there was a film over the top. Both American burgers were enough to fill a 3 year old… absolutely tiny, and again frozen chips. the mixed grill was beyond not what we orderd… gammon was rock solid… steak was well done, chewy and burnt. pork loin was pink all the way thru and even the sausages were under cooked… and again with a side of frozen chips. £52 for all including 4 soft drinks… absolute waste of money. The service was brilliant but dosnt excuse the fact the food was infact awfull. we come here a lot for drinks and thought this time we would have food and will never do it again.

I had just one pint, and it was good. It is known by good prices so it is worth visiting. Place is also very beautiful inside as is was formerly a bank.

Ive had food from here twice. It's cheap & cheerful. Just one or two bar staff who seem a bit offish. The place is busy.

I love this spoons especially as they serve my favourite Blue Moon. However there is one female member of staff that is extremely rude. When ordering via the app I made a simple mistake and ordered the drink next to Blue moon without realising. When she brought it across I questioned it but owned up to my mistake as it was on my receipt and I like the drink anyway but her attitude was so arrogant I wanted to give her a Leffe shampoo.

Called in yesterday for lunch, it was very busy! After asking about the long queue, an employee called Amy said I'd be quicker ordering on the app, which she then proceeded, with GREAT patience, to show me how to install and order on it. We had a small pizza, bowl of chips and ramen noodles. My daughter said the pizza was lovely, very cheesy, the chips were crispy and fluffy, and the ramen noodles were some of the best I've had! A beautiful building, well laid out and tasteful. I'd definitely go back.

Burger and soft drink for 2. It was 'spoons fine. About £20 all in. Can't complain for the price.

Breakfast and pints were spot on, quick friendly service, decor was nice and tables were clean. Nicer than your average wetherspoons.

Quite a new wetherspoons, fantastic decor with some cool old pics of Derby. Worth a look in. Great selection of real ales at low prices.

Shot was served in a pint glass which was a bit odd!

Went Wednesday evening around 5.30pm admittedly it was busy but - There didn’t appear to be enough staff lots of tables with empty dirty glasses cutlery and crockery also tables needing a wipe and clean. Had the misfortune to eat here, whilst I appreciate its cheap it was horrible. I had ham egg and chips, the eggs were cold and the ham was of the plastic variety to be fair the chips weren’t too bad. I tried ordering through the app but couldn’t get it working properly and timed out when I tried to make payment ended up ordering at the bar. On the plus side the drinks weren’t bad. I suppose the old saying comes into play you get what you pay for.

What a fantastic old building, a lovely place to sit and eat. Busy on a Wednesday, but we managed to find a table. Staff all excellent, with a real buzz. I think she was the duty manager, Becker/Beckie, was really under the cosh, but kept her cool and was super in service. Unfortunately, I'd have to say that she wasn't given the resources to do the job properly. Only one side of the bar was open for orders, so there's an unacceptable wait time to order. Our food did arrive quickly though, well done. Portion sizes at Wetherspoons are ok if your 10 years old, but the quality is very mixed. Standard burger very disappointing, patties made of cold cardboard. No Pedigree available, boo, but Ruddles still on for less than £2, incredible. So, pretty much a typical 'spoons. The building should not raise your expectations.

Its always pleasant here . Its always crowded too so best come to come in between modular meal times to ensure a table.

Well I went to the WC and my drinks were gone one being an unopened can. When I asked the staff they said it's my responsibility to watch my purchased goods. They went on to say that a passer by may have took my drinks so I asked for the CCTV footage but they declined. This place has bad service bad attitude won't be rushing back there .

Excellent place, Excellent prices, decent food, LOUSY SERVICE, I think most of the staff are either on something or just can't be arsed, the service is so sloooooooow, you can be waiting for several minutes or more before they even acknowledge you, some just completely ignore you. Shame really, because it's the best pub in derby.

The Sticky Korean fried chicken bowl at Derby was disappointing compared to the wheatsheaf Cheadle staff and the briar rose Birmingham. The dish lacked the sticky sauce, making it dry. The loaded chips, which were good at Blackpool, however they skimped on cheese and bacon at Derby. It seemed like they were cutting back on ingredients to save money.

Didn't realise that derby county were playing at home and the staff were slightly overrun. Long wait to get served which was not ideal having 3 kids with us.

Its a weather's weatherspoons so you get what you expect. Nice food, cheap booze and an ugly carpet. It's a gorgeous building though

Great Wetherspoons good selection of beers and food good

I used to really enjoy coming to this place. Haven't been for a few years and won't be coming back. Staff are miserable, drinks were flat, rice was aldi special and hard and cold. Chips were cold. Got about 4 tortilla crisps each. Staff asked if meal was OK whilst walking past and not even waiting for response. What a way to spend your birthday. Rather eat jail food

No staff so table service over 30 min plates and glasses piled high on the bar. Pretty poor to say the least

People criticise weatherspoons, but the food and selection of drinks, including cask ales, take some beating. Makes me wonder how they keep the prices so low. 🤔 what also comes to mind is why others are so expensive. My only criticism is. The tables need clearing faster. For the next customers. Other than that, it's all good.

Good spoons food always decent can be a wait to get served as its a busy pub.

My ‘go to’ pub in Derby for when I want to chill with a quiet pint. Staff are efficient (especially with table service) and friendly (shout out to Lucas). Decent WiFi for streaming, and power sockets.

We had the traditional breakfast and was hot and tasty and well worth the money

Was very rudely interrupted by the waitress with black hair and glasses on a romantic evening with my partner which we looked forward to all month !!!! Walked in with our food saying ‘Heelllooiooi!???’ To caution us - simply rude and unprofessional!!!!!

This Wetherspoons pub has got to be the best in the country. The architecture is mind blowing, I believe it’s an old bank hence the name. We were staying in Derby for a few nights this became our go too for drinks and food. The food quality, staff and service was incredible. I’ve never seen the staff work so hard in a spoons… highly recommend this pub. 5* oh ps don’t even try the other one in town it’s shockingly bad.

We've been to A LOT of Wetherspoons around the country - you know what you'll get, nothing fancy but great prices & often a wonderful building. This has to be one of the best "saved old buildings" we've been to. Loved it

As we were in Derby for the night, and only 5 mins away, we had tea in the evening and then breakfast the next day! Both were good and hit the spot. Great selection of beers on offer due to there being a beer festival on. This is a large pub, with high ceilings and great architecture design. There are lots of pictures of Derby in days gone by. One picture that court my eye was one by Terence Cuneo of a loco being wheeled in one of Derby's loco sheds.

A Wetherspoons pub is a Wetherspoons pub. Drinks a lot cheaper than anywhere else, food is good enough and staff are generally helpful.

Hopeless service ,took 40 minutes for my drink and had to fetch it myself.Glasses everywhere and a lack of table cleaning.

Probably one of the best Whetherspoons I've been to!

Full of drunken, unfriendly and unpleasant civilians of all ages. Staff ID’d me when I look at least 23 (I am 30). Bouncers didn’t seem to care less when a bar brawl broke out. Scary for my wife. To top it off food was cold and drinks were average. Should have stayed at home. Will be going Mansfield next time.

Decent spoons for an away supporter at pride park

Whilst no doubting its cheap, the standard of breakfast has fell off fast. Tasteless, cold and with something masquerading as a paid for extra scrambled egg. Is it wrong to want an actual egg scrambling sooner than whatever that was? We have eaten brekky here before loads of times and its been fine, this was just rubbish. The coffee wasnt much better

Visited on a Friday night, busy and lively place with a great atmosphere. Tried a number of the cask ales, with the wife opting for Coors, all good. We had a couple of wraps and fries, no complaints

The Standing Order is a large impressive wetherspoons in an ornate former bank. There is a very wide range of beers, lager and cider, including six hand-pulled cask conditioned real ales at very cheap prices. The ones we sampled were in excellent condition. The food is good value, the stakes and gormet burgers are excellent. The pub is listed in the camra good beer guide.

Beautiful building that looks like an old Bank , good beer ( but unfortunately not John Smiths) I'm going blind and was world treated bye friendly Derby people, the bar was a Square in the middle of the room, a practice that Witherspoon's use a lot, lovely pub!

The customer service and atmosphere was good. The food was awful can't ate it. Overcooked and chewy.

Great place to go for food. Love the look and there are plenty of seats and the pictures on the wall are so interesting Would be good for when it's winter to have more shelter outside love listening to rain but not be soacked whilst having a drink

Korean fried chicken wrap. Stone cold. In a cardboard like wrap. We don't often eat at Wetherspoons and yes they are cheap, and this has reinforced why. Will not bother again

Always a fan of Wetherspoon pubs. They rarely disappoint and this one certainly didn't.

Well, it's a pup and nothing for a dinner date. But if you fancy a beer and a quick bite I can recommend Tuesday's steak deal (sirloin steak and a beer for round about £11). The high ceilings make it not too noisy even on busy nights. And where would you get a beer for £2.60 these days. They even got a patio to sit outside.

There's no shortage of seating, although securing a spot during peak hours can be as tricky as a game of musical chairs without the music. No need to channel your inner Tonali and give them a ring to book a table—this isn't that kind of establishment. Just rock up, find a spot if you can, and enjoy the bustling atmosphere. So, if you're looking for a spot where the food is timely and the space ample (at least most of the time), Wetherspoons is your go-to. Just be prepared for the peak-time squeeze!

The service was not good, there was a leaky glass, and the staff did not take the initiative to make up for it. There was no breakfast available to order at 10 a.m. All are not provided. The pancake is dry, hard and frozen. The charge is over £10. Regret coming to eat.
