Stocks Tavern in St. Helens

Always a warm welcome, drinks are reasonable, friendly atmosphere. Have always enjoyed a few drinks when popping on the High street.

Night was abruptly interrupted by the rude landlady, stomping around the pool table side using abusive language and being very aggressive. Looked like she had too much to drink so that could of been the reason behind it. We all left in the end, but really messed with our plans. Definitely won’t be going back.

Totally kept its traditional character as a Pub. and drinks prices are the best value along the Street. The Staff are great and totally accommodating to the customers . we've never left left this pub unhappy ... ever... HICK !!!!

Only been in a couple of times but first time since been renovated (possibly has new owners). Very nice now been done up. Barmaid was lovely. Was a Tues night so very quiet but still a couple of people in. Prices are pricey but think for a double gin and lemonade and a pint of magners dark fruits think that is about average and served in a nice glass I've been to other pubs and served a gin in just a small glass not a gin glass. It has a sports bar feel to it but a nice one. Will definitely be goin back

We just popped in for a drink on Saturday night to see the new look pub. Bar service was great and it wasn't too busy. I would say it's quite a sporty bar with big screen TVs but we enjoyed it. Bar prices were ok too. Would call in again

Clean pub just a paint job not the best selection of draught larger with the dreaded tuborg and carlsberg popping their heads up but the main disappointment was bad service they was understaffed I thought and if you wasn’t in the click hope you are not thirsty as you was not important so won’t be going there again as the area has several better options
