The best Indian restaurant around. We recently visited while we were over from Australia. Fantastic food and excellent service. Big shout out to Arif who looked after us.

Wow I'm just lost for words. People that know me will tell you when it comes to food I'm a absolute critic. I travel everywhere but rarely leave a review. The manager was extremely attentive the waiters were amazing. It surprised me how much the waiters were knowledgeable, when it came to the menu. The food is amazing service 10/10 il be coming back again and again. This was my first time hear.

Hands down one of the best Indian cuisine restaurants I have been to. Staff were amazing and offered great recommendations. Food was by far the stand out and it was exceptional I could not fault it one bit. I will definitely be making many more visits.

My family and I, five of us in total, thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to your charming restaurant. The food, atmosphere, and service were exceptional; a true gem in Streetly.

Food was amazing , best place I’ve been too in Birmingham, ordered a lamb biryani and was perfect. Staff were extremely nice and fast. Definitely recommend!

We ordered from here based on the reviews and the articles that they were serving great authentic food. We had a takeaway and the food was awful sorry to say. My lamb dish had zero flavour at all, completely bland, I tried my husband's palak paneer and also really bland. The lamb dish I expected to be full of flavour you could see the whole spices in the tub which led me to believe it was a truly homemade dish, but was so disappointed. Never ordering from here again!

I'm quite a fussy person when it comes to my food and a friend of mine recommended me to go to Streetly Balti. Soon as i arrived the welcoming i received was really nice. Let's just say thanks to my friend, I've now found the curry house I've been longing for. Even though it takes me 20 minutes to get there, it's worth every journey. The food was out of this world and 100% be going back there again. LEO

Absolutely amazing food and a lovely place to dine with great friendly staff. Small but cosy place , had many takeaways from here but first time dining in and will definitely be back soon . Can't recommend the food here enough . Plenty of food that normal Indians don't have on their menu. Try the dynamite chicken as a starter as partner said its the best starter she has ever had , only problem with this review is that there is only max of 5 stars I can give

Really delicious food - many items on the menu are Bangladeshi specialities and not found in most Indian restaurants. Service was attentive and presentation of food very good. They don't have a licence but are happy for you to bring in your own alcohol. Thoroughly recommended.

First time here, love that it's tiny only a small number of tables and we liked the fact the menu is smaller than normal, which made it feel like they concentrated on quality not quantity. I had the mix grill and it was flavoursome and very fresh. My wife had railway gohst which she thoroughly enjoyed. The mutton was extremely tender. Poppadoms and naans were fresh and not oily.

Came across the restaurant while looking for a takeaway as our usual has changed hands . I can only say, it's the best we've had. The food is excellent. Will be visiting for a meal with friends very soon. Highly recommend.

The curry we had was absolutely bang on tasty, recommended by the owner after asking us what we like. There was a huge 50th party going on, we knew about it, but they were very noisy. I also think we were charged for just tap water aswell our food came to £43 but was charged £47 unless that's a 10% tip added on as standard. But anyway, we'd defo go back.

Fantastic food and great service. Really enjoyed my Red Murgh curry - loads of flavour and just the right level of spice. Delicious. Staff were friendly and offered great advice on their dishes. Really highly recommended.

I find it unbelievable that this restaurant is rated so highly on TA because in my experience of over 50 years eating in Indian restaurants this is a very poor restaurant. Starters, I had two, both were re heated. My main course curry appeared like it had come out of the bin, it was dry, certainly not freshly cooked. It was so hot I struggled to eat it. Pilau rice was dry too! The acoustics are awful, it’s very noisy when full because it’s very small and poky. A very poor experience. There were 6 in our party and all bar 1 thought it was poor. The fact that the management offer no comments on reviews also shows what they really think of their customers.

My first time at this restaurant and I was not disappointed. After Popadoms and accompaniments, I ordered Chicken Tika Masala. It arrived promptly and provided a first rate combination of textures and tastes. Delightful with some Naan bread to make the most of the meal.

I’ve not been here for a long time , I was certainly not disappointed.. There was 18 of us for a birthday .. Manager went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and the food was great .. We will be going again soon ..

10/10 Experience I recently visited a local curry house with four friends, and it quickly became my new favourite spot. One of my friends had told me this was the best curry she’d ever had, and she wasn’t exaggerating. The restaurant itself is small, which adds to its cozy atmosphere and means there's no overwhelming crowd. The highlight of the night was the owner, Shav, who personally took our order. He was friendly, approachable, and offered great recommendations based on our usual preferences. When the food arrived, it exceeded all expectations. Each of us ordered something different, and we sampled each other’s dishes. Every single one was bursting with flavour—hands down the best curry I’ve had locally. My friend was absolutely right! With the delicious food and warm service from Shav and his sons, this place has become my go-to curry house. I can’t wait to return, again and again.

Really good restaurant tucked away on the Chester Road in Streetly. The place is small, and the atmosphere is good . Can get quite noisy with it being small. Food is lovely. If you want vegetarian dishes, there is quite a good selection. The laal saag is really tasty with wild red spinach from Bangladesh. Staff friendly, efficient, and professional. Explained the dishes and how the ingredients worked together. Well worth a visit if in the area. Take away menu also available.

Really lovely South Asian restaurant with a good selection of curry dishes tempting you to try something new. Generous portions without being the ridiculous sizes sometimes offered up at curry-houses meant we were full without being overfull. Very flavoursome dishes too. Friendly, attentive staff who were happy to give advice on dishes. It is a bring-your-own-booze venue with a Tesco Express next door, but there is a selection of soft drinks available too.

Excellent food! Had the Handhi Chicken and Keema Matter first visit and the North Indian Chilli Garlic Chicken second time - all amazing. The Garlic Fried Rice is a must-have side. Friendly staff. Will definitely return soon

It’s an unassuming looking place but the quality of food and service is is amazing. There are dishes you wouldn’t see elsewhere - really enjoyed the shaktora gohst - a lamb curry with a fruity twist. Can’t wait to return.

I ordered here for the first time yesterday after seeing a promotion. I have many Indian takeaways more local so had never tried this place. There was a slight issue with my online order as the payment had been taken from my account but the order hadn't gone through to the restaurant, which was confusing for myself and the staff. They quickly sorted this for me and were friendly and helpful. I didn't expect the food to be as tasty as it was. It was so flavoursome and everything was cooked to perfection. With most Indians the chicken can be quite dry but this wasn't the case at all and I will definitely order from here again. I would definitely recommend

Looked on trip advisor which recommended this place. Food was slosh. No flavour no spice. Instant pain in my stomach. And the lad teld me they've been there for 30 years. Charged me £3 per roti. I'm no expert in who's the best in lichfield but theres got to be better than this untravelled English curry. Either tasteless customers or fake reviews. Update due to reply from owner. Sorry to offend, but honest reviews are how the public can tell the difference between good restaurants and bad. I came in up the stairs to the restaurant and waited on the seats to the left as my food was prepared. I spoke to you your brother and your dad, you stated you as a family had been there for over 30years. I guess due to being from Birmingham and living by the balti triangle I'm just used to a more authentic curry. I gave to 4 stars for service and 4 stars for atmosphere. But that is where it ended. When I got home it was awful. Again this is my honest review and if you think that you can find some kind of argument out of this then I recommend you should grow up. Not recommended.

Just back from a meal at Streetly Balti and was not disappointed, the food was delicious and the staff were efficient and friendly. A good choice on the menu for all. 5🌟

Had a great meal here - thought it would be no problem on a Wednesday but we were lucky to get a table. Make sure you book. Best of all though.....unbeknown to us before we went but the manager is from The Lodge where we had our wedding breakfast over 16 years ago! Such a wonderful surprise .... & explains why the food was so good

Best Indian food in the Midlands

Love this place. Great for eating in or taking away. A wide range of menu options, some terrific vegetarian dishes as well as meat based. Try the Country Captain, you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent service and food. Atmosphere is out if this world cannot fault it whatsoever. I highly recommend Streetly Balti. I also will say that you would have to take your own alcohol.

Travelled from Rugeley to visit Streetly Balti for the 1st time tonight after hearing of their awards and top reviews and I was well impressed with the quality of the food. The restaurant itself is fairly basic but the nosh is excellent, well worth a visit. Will definitely be returning.

I could not recommend this place more! The food is the best I've ever has and the staff were just so amazing! If you are ever thinking about where to go, then this is a must!

I ordered here for the first time for delivery (Friday night) The wait time was supposed to be 60 minutes but it arrived in half an hour. The food arrived nice & hot and tasted delicious! Will be ordering from here again :)

As a South Indian family ( Mother and 2 daughters) we rarely go to Indian restaurants as our homemade food and food back in India is always better. All of us were dumbfounded with the quality, taste, freshness of the food served by an equally passionate and dedicated Chef. The food can also be adjusted to your “hotness”palette - how accommodating. My mum and all of us were astounded by the high standard of the food here! Beautiful aromatic flavours, authentic Bengali dishes!!!!! Wonderful welcoming, helpful atmosphere. To everyone from the homeland and to anyone who wants genuine home cooked indian food - this place is a hidden gem of excellence!!! This is authentic food made with love and passion!!! You will not be disappointed.

Real curry authentic curry, not commercial rubbish. I have asian background and this reminds me of my grandads curries. Make sure to try the meat on the bone curries.

Ordered delivery with Easter promotion 15% discount. On order restaurant didn’t/couldn't give the discount. Phoned the boss who apologised and said would give the money owed back on next order! Cost £42 and food was average hence rating, not going back as there’s plenty of good restaurants in area, but not happy 😕

Our second visit and were blown away both times. This is the only restaurant I have found that does traditional home made lamb and chicken curry ON the bone. It took me back in time. I've tried both and will find it hard to have anything else. I had king prawns to start. Beautifuly cooked, meaty with great spice and flavour. The Chicken curry was sensational and I loved picking the bones up. My wife had chicken tikka with a vegetable curry side. Everything is so fresh. The staff can't do enough and really want you to enjoy everything. Can't wait for my next visit

If you were ever a fan of The Lodge at Shenstone (pre 2016), then you will LOVE this place! Sab, the lovely Manager ran the Lodge for many years with his brothers until 2016 - and decided to return to Streetly Balti where it all began for him many years ago. This resturant is amazing! Food authentic, tasty and hot, amazing choice and excellent service. Be adventurous and try something different, we did and all the meals were outstanding! They accomodate 'off menu' choices, honestly they go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy the experience. Sab now works alongside his lovely sons, a real family resturant. Book early and enjoy the experience! We will defo be back now and honestly we cant wait! 👍

A takeaway. Superb the Bhindi Bajee was perfect lovely fresh crunchy. I Pre-Booked for 18.00 paid for on collection and no waiting. Perfect quality food and service.

Been a while since I've last visited but what have I been missing?!!! It has moved on since my last visit -the menu leans more towards special dishes but the next table ordered a jalfrezi which wasn't on the menu. On enquiring, it seems they will accomodate any request. I had Red Murgh curry which was amazing. One of the staff took time to go through the menu with us and I will definitely be returning (very shortly) to try some of his recommendations. A hidden little gem with much deserved awards.

This was our second time of visiting Streetly Balti and it was a lovely evening. The staff are welcoming and attentive but were also very happy to accommodate our request to have a break between courses. The owner recognised us too which was very impressive. The food was delicious, my partners choice was based on a recommendation from the staff and he was really pleased with the choice. Thank you, we will be back soon!

I went a couple of weeks again and the restaurant was lovely, service was amazing and staff were great. The food was absolutely amazing, best curry I have had in my life. Would definitely go again, I’m very happy with my experience.

We were specifically looking for authentic cuisine with a good vegetarian selection, and found both! Friendly people, great curry, and real home cooked too. No licence, but they are happy for you to visit the Tesco next door and bring an alcoholic drink in with you. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

What a find, simply wonderful experience. This is a small restaurant, just 8 tables but this adds to the ambience. I suggest you start your meal with a snack shot (a small savoury parcel into which you pour a sauce and eat in one go)...I've never seen this before. The menu has many dishes which are not on a typical menu and every new dish we tried was excellent. We will make this our 'go to local' from now on.

Love a curry. I know a good curry house when i see one and this is up with the best. Dont usually do reviews - but wont be long before i go back. Usually stay more Walsall way but this was worth the effort. Bostin.

Full restaurant with a lot of noise so couldn’t hear much so had to shout but that’s a sign of how brilliant the food is at streetly, ordered a new item which was a Golgappa shot and the young lad came over explaining exactly what it was and he was brilliant, has only been there 2 months I think he said, owner is very attentive and remembers the returning customers like family
