If you want to remember what pubs were like in the hay days then this does it. A very popular establishment full of varying characters. If you treat people respectably then you will receive the same treatment back in this establishment. If you want a modern type pub with a food menu etc then this is not that sort of place, more a pint and a packet of crisps style here. Plenty of dart boards and a good sized area hosts the pool table. A great place for drinking and chatting.

What prizes will you take away from your visit to the Stumble Inn? The barmaid's brilliant smile, a snippet of celebrity gossip, plenty of local gossip, hearing the regulars discuss their holiday plans, basking in the happy atmosphere. There's nothing fancy in this pub, but it has plenty of loyal customers, and it seems that everyone knows everyone else. There is a row of works of blackboard art hanging in a row above the bar, with colourful designs of logos of drinks brands. Otherwise, the walls are uncluttered, but you may notice that the ceilings are covered with hooks. At certain times of year, these are used to suspend lights and decorations. There is an electronic jukebox which has plenty of good tunes, but is comparatively limited in range. The volume of the music is not too loud, allowing plenty of lively conversation. (If you want to hear the music more clearly, walk through to the inner part of the bar.) The Ladies' toilets are really nice--no fragrances, spotlessly clean, of a good size and with plenty of natural light. While I was at the Stumble Inn, there was a delivery of new seating for the garden, in preparation for the summer. The Thank Foster's It's Friday promotion was on, and the pub was doing a roaring trade in Foster's and people were entering codes online to see whether they had won a prize. The pub also has a pool table.

My husband and I have used this restaurant for many years - welcomed by friendly staff, and a varied, reasonably priced menu. It's an interesting place to visit incorporating a large antiques and vintage clothes business on the upper floor - ( featured on Antiques Road Show) and part of the dining area. It provides an important service to the community and to those visiting the area.

Popped in this pub for a quick drink, then decided to have lunch, I was told that Christmas lunches were starting at 3pm, but they put themselves out for me to have Sunday lunch early, I had the roast beef and I must say it was lovely, all the usual along with an extra jug of gravy..lovely, thank you so much 😀
