Subway in Selby

I gwt that lunch time is hard but no need to take it out on your customers. Rudest Subway I've ever been to.

Surprise Surprise. No meatballs again. It would be super helpful if there was some sort of information on the menu boards, to say what wasn't available. It's very annoying being in a queue for ages and being informed there isn't a particular filling, bread or side when it's your time to order.

I love a subway!! This one is in the service station and separate from the counter for the other services. The lady behind the counter was chatty, helpful and was quick in dealing with the order. Couldn't fault it in any way. 5☆ from me!

I entered the shop during my lunch break and was greeted by a tall polite mannered gentleman who was very kind. This was my first time in a Subway so I asked the man (called Robert) what he would recommend. In the end, we came to the agreement that a footlong meatball marinara would be the perfect choice for me. He elegantly guided me through each stage of the sandwich-making process which was very helpful indeed. There was only one person working which must've been tough, however, the customer service was extraordinary and Robert delicately constructed my sandwich piece by piece. Usually, I would expect less care to be taken at a fast-food restaurant. Despite this, Robert handled my bread as if they were soft clouds, making sure not to squash it. The meatballs were intelligently placed along the bread to not roll off with a perfect ratio of sauce drizzled across the top which smelt oh so decadent. Finally, he proposed a matching and complimenting selection of vegetables and sauces to be generously dashed upon the balls. This was a crunchy handful of iceberg lettuce, sweet juicy corn which fell like raindrops onto the lettuce and sliced tangy tomatoes which complimented the sweetness of the corn. A cool choice of chipotle sauce was squirted upon the top of the vegetables as a final topping to finish the masterpiece. Robert then wrapped the creation in paper so that it would be concealed for freshness. As I paid and left the store, he waved me goodbye with a smile. As I took my first clean bite into the sub, I could taste the real experience and craftsmanship Robert used to make this sandwich which warmed my heart (as with the meatballs). I would definitely go again for the delicious sandwich or for the customer service from the kind gentle giant.
