Very good quality food. Good and prompt service. Great tasting.

Wonderful. Fresh cooked. Hot. No excess oil in the curries and the kebab were properly cooked in the tandoor not fried and red in colour with artificial colouring like other places use. Incredibly managed place. Have eaten in a few times and it's the same in the restaurant as it is for delivery no drop in standard. First class! Tip top. Rolls Royce.

If you are tired of the overrated ‘The Regency’ restaurant next door, you should give Sugar and Spice Lounge a try. While the decor is a curious mix of Sixties American diner with red seats and chairs and the ambience is matched with a Frank Sinatra or David Bowie song playing in the background, you wonder who chose the decor and the ambience ? On to the food then, though it takes a while to get to the table it is incredibly fresh and tastes amazing! I didn’t have a single issue with the sheekh kebabs, lamb biryani, salted lassi, okra curry and the egg curry! Everything deserves top marks regards food. The service is excellent and I would certainly come back here and give the Regency next door a miss.

The best place since it opened and very friendly staff service, cooks and management, definitely recommended if your interested in watching the cricket matches.

I came here with friends for a meal and a catch-up, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. We started with the vegetarian appetisers, which were absolutely delicious and generous in portion size. For the main course, I had the Hakka vegetable noodles—though a bit on the oily side for my taste, the mix of vegetables, especially the spring onions, was still enjoyable. The service was excellent and attentive throughout.v

Unfortunately the palak paneer was too salty on this occasion, overly seasoned. We have ordered the same dishes over 20 times in the past 18 months. The complimentary poppadum had gone off and smelt of rancid oil, its better not to provide it than send a rancid poopadum, it went straight in the bin. Usually the food is 10/10 here, unfortunately not today. Would I buy again, yes of course - its a great restaurant.

I'm so glad I tried this restaurant - I left feeling so happy. The food is fresh and delicious, and very reasonably priced, especially when you compare prices to the large competitor next door. The curries are absolutely amazing. We ordered a mixed grill and 3 curries and were not disappointed. Fantastic portion sizes and really friendly staff. I would highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back! Thank you to all the hard working chefs and lovely staff.

We are usual Regency club patrons but we were advised to check out sugar and spice. And boy were we impressed, great service lovely owner and their tandoori meats are as good as regency and their curries are even better than regency. More reasonable priced and better quality. This will be our go to curry house from now on!

Worst service ever, person on the counter doesn’t know how to talk,

Came here for main course after a disappointing experience at Regency Club a few doors down. We ordered 3 garlic chilli naans, pilau rice, pappadoms, lamb madras (on the bone) and Karahi chicken. It was around 9pm so service was quick as a bit quieter. Both curries were not flavoursome, and the meat didn’t taste good, the rice was ok and the naan was incredibly oily (how can you get naan wrong?!). It’s safe to say I won’t be coming to Queensbury anytime soon to have dinner (well not that side of the roundabout!)

Great service and a nice place. Unfortunately the food wasn't great. Paneer tikka didn't have much flavour, masala chips were soggy and the crispy bhajiya were too thick and dry.

Food was ok nothing special. Service was poor to be honest.

The food was really not good tasting at all, especially in comparison to the regency club that was right next door. We were the only people there, and I'm not surprised. The waiter who served us was very nice and observant, but the terrible food which also looked brown in colour surprisingly, in addition to the sad ambience made it feel like a terrible experience.

Very disappointing. The mains took an age to arrive and when it did, the entire food order was full of salt. Unfortunately, we cancelled the order and swiftly left.

Lovely food great staff, enjoyed it like always

Lovely venue for just drinks, a great meal or both. The prices are competitive including the drinks and the food portions are larger than you would expect. Fantastic place for sports on the several tv's around the place. It was very clean and the toilets were immaculate. We had a fantastic meal there without being rushed or having waiters hovering around your table and will definitely be going back there. 13/6/2014 Well as we enjoyed it so much the first time we went back and had yet another fantastic meal, we were welcomed by everyone and the service, the food, the prices and the portions were all exceptional, all whilst we watched the WC cricket. We took a friend with us who hadn't had an indian meal for years and he was amazed how lovely it was. He actually left his cell phone there and we had a call from Sam straight away and went and got it so no worries. We are looking forward to going back yet again in the very near future knowing it will be great. I highly recommend Sugar and Spice in all aspects of dining out.

Daily visit gem of Queensbury. 😀 From famous Crispy corn 🌽 to pints to Chilli panner 🌶 you can't go wrong. Decent size restaurant with verity of dishes and drinks options. It's always best to dine in there for their delicious food. 😋 Service is upto date with old chef I suppose. 😀 Restaurant needs a bit of revamp for the competition around the areas. Otherwise you can't go wrong. Try it. Review it. Thank you.

One of the best North Indian/ Indo Chinese restaurants in the local area. This is our regular spot for delivery (Uber) and dine in. Food is consistently good and good value for money. Chilli paneer, hakka noodles and palak paneer are recommended.

This is a place to go if you want good food and don't need to be in the nicest place. Compared to the Regency, it lacks polish and design but it's more than made up for by the food. Everything we had was delicious and we'll definitely be back. It's a relaxed atmosphere which is good for a dinner out with friends or family.

Love this place. Lovely restaurant, I pop in to eat with my whole family from time to time. Takeaway from here is lovely.

Fantastic food great service & brilliant atmosphere 👌

This is 100% in my top 5 local to me. Our children also love it here and we have been dining here for years. The staff in here are on another level. Always preparing fresh dishes, served quick and hot. Waiters are super friendly and attentative. Most dishes are close to £10 but the portions are quite large and worth every penny. Our favourites are crispy spicy chilli corn, and crispy chilli garlic mushrooms. 😋 Paneer tikka masala with naan also very nice. Can be a bit loud if there is a football match showing on the screens. But we don't really mind that, when you get this quality food and service. Well done 👏 sugar and spice team 👏

Chilli paneer very good. Our go to for paneer in future. Other sags were decent nothing special. Naan very fresh very filling. Prices reasonable

Had a very disappointing takeaway from here. We ordered chicken tikka rolls which were so sub standard I’m surprised they were sent out. First chicken was burnt, it was underseasoned and served with a gross sauce with limp lettuce leaves so we ended up with a soggy mess. I’ve never tasted such rubbish food, Nandos or even Macdonalds would have been better. The 2 rolls were £29 pounds. It was so disgusting and , slimy due to the strange sauce which leaked all over the roll. There was no way I could risk eating this, I gave up and threw it away. The chill paneer was just ok nothing spectacular. The Peshawari Nan was nice but the food here left so much to be desired. The strange thing is it’s packed beautifully so we had high expectations with this being our first order but for such poor quality control we won’t be back.

Went to watch the game, restaurant was full and the atmosphere was lively. Service was ok and food was good. Overall it's a great place to visit especially if you want to watch live sports.

Came here on the off chance yesterday evening with my husband and two daughters. The food was really nice all veg ordered Hakka noodles, Mogo, Biriani, palak paneer and crispy bhajia. All mild as we didn't want to risk hot and the food was all tasty 😋. The very young waitress was lovely and background music nice. Toilets clean. So glad my 2 girls decided on choosing this place. Will be returning with my eldest daughter as she wasn't around. Compliments to the chef thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Food is good and service is very quick. Beers are cold and a nice atmosphere. Very close to queensbury station so handy for a meal or just a quick drink at the bar.

This eaterie is more a sports bar than restaurant : screens everywhere. As in other reviews the music was so loud you could not speak to the person sitting next to you. the goanese waiter and manager were excellent. Apparently midweek only one chef. the wait for our meal was ridiculous. Indeed the manger came several times to apolgise and gave free poppadums. The people on the next table also comnplained heavily. As there were only a few clients in, this made matters worse. When the food came, the portions were generous, and the food, lamb biryani, prawns and chops were all declared very tasty, spicy, maybe slightly too cilli hot. the bill for 3 was £ 78, but a lot of food was ordered, maybe slightly too much. Parking not a problem.

Incredible food and great service. One of my favourite spots for value and quality I wrote the above review over 2 years ago. I still visit this place sometimes once a week, the food is consistently excellent. I have not tasted better tandoori lamb chops anywhere, and believe me I have tried, I can safely say i have tried the whole menu and never been disappointed.

Service was great! Hygienic enough- Clean table and plates/cutlery etc. However the space inside was quite small and seating area was very packed and crowded especially if you have a big family- table was packed with food/plates/drinks so not really enough space to eat peacefully. Some dishes were bland/bittery(food&sauces) & some not- for both Veg/Non-veg. Drinks were amazing :) Some entertainment on tv screens which was great to see and fishes for little kids, however the background songs was too loud. Overall 3.5 out of 5 :))

Went here for my Christmas Party with a few work collegues and I was pleasently suprised at how big the portions where for the starters. Starters where very tastey and they all had that chili and sweet flavour but had subtle differences between them. Garlic Mushrooms where very good Crunchy and soft Chilli Paneer was excellent Crispy Chili Corn was one of the highlights Bujia where very good Mains where also of good standards chicken and lamb dishes where reasonable in portion sizes and I can say their nan was thin and soft! Beers from the tap where all very super chilled and cocktails weren't bad either. Prices in this place where good also. I am deffo going back esp if there is football on! The staff where attentataive and polite.

An amazing place. Wonderful food. The Chicken 65 and the Fried fish were yummy. Very good portions. The ambience is very good. A special call out for Kiran. He took good care of us. He keeps checking in and ensuring that we are okay with the food and service. My new go to place for a drink and food.

What an absolutely amazing restaurant. The design is lovely and single and all the members of staff are just wonderful. The food can't be rated, it was just too good. I had gone to dine in with a friend and ordered the Lamb Madras, Chilli Garlic Mushrooms (My favourite), Mixed Grill, Chilli Garlic Naan and Mango Lassi.

The food is amazing, TV's everywhere to accommodate sports events. Service was a bit slow but all in all a good place

Sugar and Spice has a lovely selection of Starter dishes and they are nicely portioned, great for a group of people to sit and enjoy their food. The mains are good but nothing more. Pints and cocktails are excellent and I will be coming back to enjoy some more of your food!

Visited this restaurant/lounge yesterday with the family having read the glowing reviews. Walked into what I can only say the noisiest eatery- music blaring away, loud clientele, not my idea of a pleasant eating establishment. Attentive staff took the drinks order, every drink arrived separately. Ordered the starter with 2 different waiters - everything arrived separately. Not particularly tasty. Ordered the mains - once again, arrived separately. The meat dishes had the smallest pieces of boneless chicken I have ever seen (jeera chicken). The lamb was no different and contained gristle. Visited the gents toilet - walked out, urine on the floor in both cubicles. Staff need to visit and clean more regularly (accept clientele are responsible). Did I really go to the same Sugar and Spice as the the other reviewers? I shan’t be going again.

For mains I got Hakka veg noodles which was slightly on the oily side for my liking but still liked the mix of veg especially those beautiful little spring onions.
