Food was fine, not as good as I had been expecting based on reputation. The coffee and Bloody Mary were also fine. Service was great though and our waitress was very allergy alert, excellent for my friend who has relatively complicated requirements!

Perfect, nothing to say. Very nice place, staff too and the food is very good. Great for brunch.

I expected more from a hyped up place like this. We were excited to try their brunch menu so opted in for the cauliflower patty Melt and the Cilbir Eggs. The sandwich was very basic and the fries were overfried that you couldn't bite them. The eggs were good and flavours were nice but the price for the dishes and the portions received are not justified. The service was not great especially that it was on a Monday and not the busiest of days. We had to wait for the bill for 10 minutes. I expected more to be honest and compared to many other brunches in the area, I didn't see anything special here.

This place was amazing. I broke my bank, but it was worth it. The music playlist was chef’s kiss.

Another overhyped place. Food was mediocre. Order the Cheddar Scramble which was bland. For the price it wasn’t upto the mark. Service was good, atmosphere was good. The tables were very close to each other. It’s another place just for the gram, not for food.

Disastrous and very unpleasant service, particularly at reception. Fortunately the manager is nicer and tries to compensate for the poor quality of her staff. The atmosphere of this restaurant is far from cozy and friendly. Be careful, unlike many places in London which are Kids friendly, this is not the case in this restaurant. Avoid!

We visted early November on a weekend, and I would recommend reservation. The dishes were good in size compared to other places. The staff were friendly and helpful.

“No Christmas spirit, no love for children, mothers, or pregnant women.” Last Sunday, what was supposed to be a friendly moment over brunch with friends turned into one of the most humiliating experiences of my life. We were at Sunday in Brooklyn, London, shortly after noon. My husband, our two young children, and I—visibly pregnant—were joining friends who were already settled in and eating lunch. They had informed the staff of our upcoming arrival, and everything seemed fine until we walked through the door. While we expected to be welcomed in a warm atmosphere, like the Christmas decorations, we were confronted with an incomprehensible coldness and rigidity. The hostess, as freezing as the weather outside, immediately announced that two people from our group had to leave the table to wait outside at the end of the queue. Out. In the rain and in the cold. I explained, calmly but firmly, that this was not an option, given that I was pregnant. His response? Insisting that someone else from our group go out in my place. I was stunned. How could a young woman, with a modicum of intelligence or humanity, think it was acceptable to ask a pregnant woman or a family with young children to wait outside in such conditions? What I still don’t understand is how someone working in hospitality could be so lacking in empathy and common sense. However, it would only have required a little kindness or thought to handle the situation differently. They could have warned our friends as soon as they arrived that it would not be possible to join us later. They could have allowed us to temporarily sit at the same table until another solution was found. Or better yet, they could have placed us at one of the many empty tables around. Instead, they chose to humiliate us, create unnecessary conflict, and make us feel like we were neither welcome nor valued customers. As for the Christmas spirit? He was not in this restaurant. The atmosphere was as cold and hostile as the weather that day. Even the manager, who tried to intervene, was unable to calm the situation, as the hostess had the audacity to lie about what had happened, putting her version of events against ours. And yet, there I was, visibly pregnant, accompanied by my two young children. The truth was obvious. I almost never take the time to write reviews, but this experience was simply unacceptable. If you are a family, or worse, a pregnant woman, hoping to find a welcoming and warm place, move on. No one deserves such treatment.

Families, beware ! Mothers, stay away! Expecting moms? RUN!! Last Sunday at *Sunday in Brooklyn*, London, 12:00 PM. We were a group of parents with children, and we were asked to leave for reasons that I will let you judge for yourselves. Here’s what happened: A first group from our party arrived and requested a table, informing the staff that two adults and two children would be joining shortly. They were seated at a table and told that the adjacent table could not be reserved. Fair enough. The first group explained that we would be arriving soon and would be seated at another table nearby. They started their meal, and we arrived—a pregnant wife, visibly expecting, two young children, and myself—ready to join the festive ambiance suggested by the Christmas decorations. We asked to be seated at a table nearby. But then, the host (Dressed in green like the Grinch), whose demeanor was as warm as the bleak winter morning outside, insisted that two people from the already-seated group must leave the restaurant and wait at the back of the queue outside. We explained that my wife was heavily pregnant and could not wait outside in the cold. The host, unfazed, then insisted that another person from the table leave instead. We refused. Naturally. And without finishing their meals, the first group was presented with the bill, forcing all of us to leave. Yes, we were late. That’s on us. But the way this was handled was appalling, scandalous even—and that word barely covers it. This was a failure of basic decency and professional conduct. And here I am, taking the time to write this review—someone who almost always leaves five-star ratings with joy. Here’s what could have been done: - Option 1: Refuse us entry from the start, acknowledging the time issue. - Option 2: Allow us to sit together at the same table temporarily while waiting for the first group to finish, keeping everyone (especially a pregnant woman and small children) out of the rain. - Option 3: Seat us at one of the many empty tables nearby, as originally discussed. Instead, the choice made was disgraceful. A complete lack of respect for customers and a glaring professional failure. The Christmas spirit? It wasn’t inside this restaurant. It was as cold and gray as the weather that morning. While the manager made an attempt to smooth things over, the dry-as-dust host had the audacity to lie to her superior—her word against ours. This is simply unacceptable. There were families. There were children aged 2, 4, 7, and 8. And there was a heavily pregnant woman. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. INEXCUSABLE.

Great restaurant with great staff. We arrived early and they had no issues seating us for some drinks before dinner started. The food was great, a great way to wrap up the day in London.

Friendly service and a nice vibe unfortunately can’t make up for the quality of the food. The smash burgers were a gloopy mess drowned in sauce and everything else we ordered was a bit uninspired and tasted straight out of a chain restaurant. With a bit more effort and refined cooking this could be worth repeated visits, but as it stands it’s not good value for money and there are better options in the vicinity…..

One of the best places to have brunch in London. Lots of choice and quality ingredients. We got a cjeese scramble and a shakshuka. Both dishes were really good, the only downside was that there wasn't enough bread/focaccia for the shakshuka so we had to pay for more bread (they only gave a small piece of focaccia). However, we were disappointed by the service... We hadn't booked so we asked about the waiting time, we were told 20/25 minutes but we waited about 35 minutes. It was very cold and we stayed outside and when we saw people who had arrived after us being called before us we asked for explanations. The only thing he told us was that he called our name several times but it seems strange that we didn't hear it since we were there

You definitely only need one pancake per person. Lovely food and drink and nice atmosphere. Only a short wait about five mins to get in.

So great! We had an insane brunch here, the mole omelette and egg sandwich were particularly good. Service was attentive and fast, but also relaxed.

Great ambiance, very cute place. Came for the Thanksgiving menu £55/person for dinner. One entree, one main, sides and one dessert. The entree double baked soufflé was incredible - flavors, texture, temperature was spot on. Unfortunately, the turkey came out just under lukewarm for all 4 of us and wasn’t at all a standout which is an upset on Thanksgiving. The sides were okay but a bit bland with no standouts. Drinks were good and prices I found to be reasonable however our aperitifs came out with our entree which wasn’t ideal. Dessert was okay. Staff was friendly and timely.

I went to order coffee for takeout and was greeted by a friendly female staff member at the front. She directed me to order at the bar and even informed her colleague that I wanted to order coffee to go. I stood there waiting for someone to take my order, but the barista completely ignored me, even after serving other customers at the bar, he continued to chat with a colleague. After a while, I decided to leave because the staff at the bar was being completely ignorant.

This place's food was absolutely atrocious and horrible. My husband and I went here for brunch and were taken aback by the name as I am a native New Yorker and we both have lived in Brooklyn for several years (Cobble Hill/Williamsburg/Carroll Gardens). He ordered an egg sandwich and it was this dry scrambled egg, caked with mayonnaise in a hamburger bun. I had mole omelette and it was just disgusting and inedible. These people just put a bunch of food and condiments on a plate and call it food. Any true Brooklynite would be outraged their boroughs good name was being used for this vulgarity. Go to Cafe Phillies that is more of a New York style breakfast joint than this place.

Great service and delicious brunch food. The cheddar scramble is my personal favourite. I think I just got unlucky this time around as the avocado on my avocado toast was quite unripe.

No wonder there are always long queues. I have to admit that, being local, that the place seems always full put me off a bit. But I glad we managed to get there a weekday Food is excellent and ingredients are clearly top notch. Maybe the waiters were a bit too "attentive", if you now what I mean, but my partner and I had a wonderful birthday brunch.

One of the restaurants that requires a reservation, or be prepared to wait in a long queue. We waited for two hours. The service is quite slow and disorganized. They forgot to bring our food until we reminded them. However, the food was exceptional. We had the cilbir eggs and egg sandwich, both of which were flavorful. The ricotta and jam brioche was also a highlight, with freshly made jam that was a delight. Unfortunately, the pancakes were a letdown and not even edible for us. Overall, the experience was good, and I would definitely return but ensure to book a reservation. P.S. I was so hungry that I forgot to take pictures of the food, but I did manage to snap a photo of the one dish that disappointed me 🙃

Overall an OK experience, the shakshuka was average, egg sandwich overwhelmingly mayo-y, the pancakes are a good palette changer especially since they’re warm, fluffy, and sugary, but overall I would not dream of any of these dishes.

OK, so, maybe going there for lunch on a Sunday - without a booking and with a 4 year-old - was a bad idea... but it was all a bit average. Steak was chewy, burger average, and the pancake is most definitely an acquired taste. The 40-minute queue just didn't seem worth it. Staff are doing their best but seem overwhelmed, compounded by very loud music playing. Maybe I'm not the right demographic, and maybe I'll try on a weekday when it's calmer.

Incredibly buzzy but the service and food did not live up to the hype. Within our time slot we were asked 3 times if we were finished or ready for the next bit, it was so rushed I felt like they couldn’t wait to get rid of us. I’m a slow eater and still had half my dish to go and because my friend had finished the waitress tried to take my plate! The food itself wasn’t particularly special. Honestly, so many better places.

We ordered two sets of pancakes, which quite frankly were terrible (although admittedly that is a matter of taste). We ate half of the first and left the other untouched - they could not care less about the fact that we did not like them, and when one of the waiters asked if everything was okay and we replied not really, he just laughed and left.

Convenient, reliable spot for brunch and friendly smiley staff. Dogs welcomed which is lovely. Food very formulaic - there were 6 of us and my friend is allergic to eggs yolks and they weren't able to make an egg white omelette which is strange as it's a pretty normal request in the US. Orange juice isn't fresh which is a shame. On the booking we were told we had the table from 10.30am - 1pm but they brought the bill at midday and said they needed the table so we felt a bit hurried out.

I visited Sunday in Brooklyn for the first time last weekend, looking forward to a great experience, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet expectations. During my visit, a waitress accidentally spilled an espresso martini, which soaked my clothes. While I understand accidents happen and didn’t make a big deal of it, I was surprised that no gesture was offered to acknowledge the situation—no discount or even a proper apology, which would have been appreciated as a courtesy. The service overall was disappointing. The food took quite a while to arrive, and despite the high expectations, the staff’s attentiveness left much to be desired. For the price and reputation, I had hoped for a more welcoming and accommodating experience.

I was really disappointed with this café. I’m even more disappointed that my review was deleted for no apparent reason. It makes you wonder if all the positive reviews are actually genuine. We went on a Thursday around 12:45 p.m. during the business week, and the place was half-empty. First, we waited outside for 10 minutes, hoping someone would clean the dirty tables. After we finally sat down, we had to wait another 10 minutes just to get a menu. After a total of 25 minutes, we ordered two double espressos, a pancake, and an apple pie. The drinks arrived fairly quickly, but after another 25 minutes, the food still hadn’t shown up. When we asked what was going on, it turned out they’d forgotten our order and couldn’t prepare it anytime soon. They apologized with two more espressos, so we ended up spending almost an hour there and left with four double espressos. By then, the café was practically empty. Honestly, it was ridiculous.

All 5 stars, food was great, staff very friendly and helpful and overall atmosphere was buzzing and nice. Great decor and location too!

Excellent brunch served with a smile by Nourane. She even gave us a special treat for our wedding anniversary. Fast and very generous service! Obviously you have to taste the specialty of pancakes, I recommend just one pancake for two, it's more than enough!
