Sunflower Take Away in North Lincolnshire

I am very sad to write this as in the past everything has been fabulous. The last time we ordered from Sunflower (before last night) we were disappointed. The food was simply ‘not up to standard’ However, we accepted it as a ‘one off’ rather than a write off. Last weekend, at my daughter’s in Ruskington we had our usual order, special chowmein and sweet sour chicken. Fabulous. My step daughter is with us this weekend and she fancied Chinese so we put our order in, our usual and her order Well, what has happened? One bag of warm chicken bits coated in (possibly) breadcrumbs, one bag of large chicken pieces in beautifully golden batter, obviously freshly (half) cooked. Batter beautiful on the outside raw mush on the inside which made the chicken inedible. Warm, not hot, sauces in separate foil containers. One was hot chilli and one was sweet sour. Both looked identical with a sprinkle of chopped garnish floating on the top. We had to taste to distinguish. As they went cold they became a gloopy substance and the bottom of the SS sauce was grainy and burnt. The last chow mien we got was dry so a portion of SS sauce was ordered. This came minus garnish. The chow mien was ordered with vermicelli noodles. They arrived as fat and flat. The best part of our meal was the rice I popped into the microwave as husband walked in with our much anticipated, seriously disappointing food. I am sorry Sunflower, I have never wasted so much food. None of us are picky eaters but none of what we received was even ‘ok’ Embarrassing

5 Star Hygiene, but 1 star everything else.. Food was abismal. All dishes came dry but with random assorted pots of slop which i assume were sauces meant for the dishes but which. The ribs was just burnt bone with no meat at all on them to even try. No colour to the beef and prawn crackers out of a grab bag... UNEDABLE AVOID!

Ordered food got home not what I ordered 41.00 wasted When ordering her phone rang stopped taking my order to answer phone no sorry can I take this order nothing asked if she got it right said yes got home different food missing chicken but got sauce lol

Ordered roast lamb mint sauce with chips, nice and hot when they delivered it. Excellent as always 🤗.

Didn't order much and glad I didn't,. Chicken chow mein was watery and had no flavour. Salt and pepper chips were just normal chips with veg. Lastly chicken balls and sauce were not nice. Overall really disappointed

Ignored. Stood out front for five minutes..then left shouted hello twice nothing. also last time I was in the food came remarkably in fact impossibly quick, wouldnt be at all surprised if its coming from Iceland.

Really good Chinese food. If they're not rushed off their feet you'll get it quickly. Very plain decor which is fine, because it's all about the food.

We ordered today when I went in the women was ignorant and ignored me for about 2 minutes. When I got home the food was stale and dry with little flavour and could only be describe as the scraps out of the pan. It was rockcsolid and you could tell it was frozen.

Amazing food ALL THE TIME!. Just left for my pick up and the customer service is amazing!! I explained I like my good very hot and they catered to exactly that. If you are looking for a Chinese takeaway in Barton you have found it! .. Thank you so much, and for the extra hot chilly sauce! 😁 5*4

Old style Chinese takeaway. No cards just cash... Be prepared to wait for your food, it is worthwhile

A good Chinese take away with tasty food and great salt and pepper chicken wings. But a massive downfall is, if busy it appears the phone is taken off of the hook. I have been calling continually for 30 mins and still the phone is engaged. Considering how busy the restaurant is, to employ an extra member of staff to man the phones would make a huge difference to the overall service.

Best Chinese takeaway in Barton.

If you can actually get through on the phone, took half hour to get through. Foods good when it arrives. Takes over an hour to deliver just up the road. Could be alot better.

One of the best in Barton really good food but take forever to answer phone and always a huge cue, need more staff.

Excellent, best Chinese food i've had for years and definitely the best in barton. Very polite and prompt service as well.

First time and very impressed. Nicely cooked, generous portions and slightly different to most other takeaways. We had king prawn chow mein, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style (crispy chicken separate from the sauce), vegetable pancake rolls and a portion of soft noodles. Complimentary prawn crackers rounded off the meal. 15 pounds altogether and I didn't eat all mine! Probably give the place 5 stars once we've had some different dishes. Singapore noodles are a good measure!
