Sung King in Cheshire East

My wife and I regularly order food from this establishment. Never, ever again will we patronage it again though. I placed my order as usual, with the Mother, it’s a family business. I picked up my order and when I returned home, I discovered that they had given me the wrong food for one item. I phoned immediately, and spoke with the Daughter and explained what had happened. Her reply was: that is what you ordered and if you want something else you will have to pay for it. Customer service skills lacking in the extreme. She never makes you feel welcome and it’s as if their doing you a favour. I said politely in response, may I not exchange as you have mixed up the order. I was met with a wall of obstinacy. My wife and I only use the takeaway as we feel we are helping local independent shops. Not anymore. Food is average, small portions and overpriced. Buyer beware.

Fish and chips were ok, however, the fish was on the small size, but was ok. Also had chicken and sweetcorn soup, which was nice. Everything cooked to order, so nice and fresh and hot.

Normally have the freshly cooked fish from here, but decided to have the house special Thai red curry. Really tasty with a bit of a kick with it.

Me and my daughter always enjoy sun king, there won ton soup is heaven! All fab however my only Teenie tiny gripe is the chips need to be cooked longer, they are super chunky but definitely need to see the fryer for longer- other than that everything has always been fab!

Steer clear of the chips, how can they get them so wrong. Probably 60% grease & 40% potato. I'll be feeling those the next few days.

Call here most Thursdays for my wife's fish. Its always cooked to order and tastes how you would expect fish to taste.

We eat here quite often and have never had a bad meal. We particularly like their crispy duck with pancakes etc., their Won Ton soup and their duck in plum sauce... but we have eaten many other dishes. The prices are most reasonable and they seem busy with their deliveries. What is great is that you never have to wait long if you ring and collect.

That says it all really. It's two minutes up the hill from the canal moorings and really good. Don't be put off by the unimpressive surroundings, we had a first rate meal - tasty, tender duck slices and good chunks of chicken both in decent sauces. And big portions too! Two mains and one rice about £14. Excellent quality and value.

Visited this take away whilst passing through Macclesfield. The town is not large and the family wanted a decent Chinese. Having strugglers to find one we came upon the Sun King. The food was excellent quality and the ribs are the best I have had. The service was prompt and the staff friendly. The only feedback I have is that the chicken in black bean sauce was a little too salty for me.

After trying and failing to find a great Chinese takeaway in Macclesfield, I eventually found this little gem on one of the food takeaway websites. It had great reviews from customers so I gave it a try.... No regrets at all, I wish I had found this place earlier, the food was piping hot, very tasty and fresh and the delivery guy was very pleasant too !! I will have no hesitation in ordering again from here! Give it a try and you won't be disappointed!!!
