Sunrise Chinese, Fish & Chips Takeaway in Doncaster

Honestly no stars are deserved. Food was late almost 2hours after ordering. When it finally did turn up it all was stone cold. Phoned the shop and they finally agreed to refund the money as it was an online order. 2 days later still no refund pending and no contact from the shop please don't use this shop.

Just ordered from here second time around, the food came fresh and hot. The cheese and onion fry it was delicious and the fish was delicious.

Very disappointed with food and price! Firstly the front counter lady was very pleasant so I had high expectations with a vast menu so I ordered Beef STEAK with black pepper sauce dearer than other dishes at over £10 alone with Chinese chips and fish & chips for our little girl. The dish was dearer as it stated proper steak what I got was a nasty cheap piece of stringy meat bashed to make it look bigger as thin as it could be and shrivelled in one lump piece that was so inedible it got tossed in the bin, so I paid over £10 for one dish that was a bland mushroom and onion sauce. Chips were the same as normal chip shop chips so what are you paying extra for. Fish and chips weren’t that great as well. Feel completely lied to and robbed from what was explained. Considering most the dishes are £6 I can’t believe what was given. It’s the worse dish I’ve had in years I was going to confront them but after browsing the reviews I can see clearly it’s a waste of time. If this is the quality of food at their highest price dish I’d hate to think how bad the rest is. This is the last Chinese in Rossington I’ve been to and the only one I wont be returning. Wish I’d read the reviews first!

Absolutely Shocking service by the owner, food an hour and half late, had to call twice. Myself and my partner went down to the shop to pick it up after waiting so long. Owner was very quick to throw her new and very young staff member under the bus. We respectfully complained. The food quality wasn't up to standard. Rice wasn't even nearly fried. Salt and Pepper chicken and chips were even a little Spicy (my 2 year old ate it). 3 items missing. Genuinely couldn't be bothered to complain again as she didn't care at all when we went in. Never ordering from here again and this was our first time. (Rang in again when we left to apologise to the young new girl as this wasn't her fault).

Placed an order for delivery online (and paid in full -£55) at 6:15PM on a Saturday evening. Called up at 7:15PM to chase the meal as the estimated delivery was 45 minutes, to be told the meal was cooking now. Called up again at 7:45PM to be told the meal was cooking, when challenged that this was what we were told half an hour ago, we then got told it was waiting to go out now. At 5 to 8, I decided to go round (and potentially call their bluff) the young girl working the till went to check up on the order, and who I assume was the owner came out and did not say a word of apology, giving only excuses, and blaming it on the young girl throwing her under the bus. Thankfully whilst I was at the shop the meal was finally delivered, however were the meal free I'd still feel like it's not value for money! There were parts missing from the order (tubs of curry sauce and barbecue sauce which we had paid for), the staple of any Chinese takeaway, the egg fried rice, tasted microwaved, and had definitely never seen a wok in it's life, the onion rings were undercooked with batter slopping off, and the general quality of the meal was dire. This review may not be necessary as it seems the village is pretty wise to the quality of this takeaway. Given that there were no customers in the shop, the phone didn't ring while we were in, and there were only 4 orders on the board on a Saturday evening. However if you are thinking of ordering from here, please go to one of the other and far better takeaways in the village!

I've order tonight for a family of 5. The food is amazing, tasty and big portions. They were so nice, we received chips , fortune cookies free The kids were very happy. Highly recommended Thank you

Ordered spam fritter chips and peas, spam hardly had any batter on and when I tasted it, it was burnt, the chips and peas were just as bad, ordered from here before with no problems so not sure if it’s changed hands but I will not be ordering from them again.

Order mum fish chip the chips so crispy she couldn't even eat them and very dry fish wasn't even upto much .chips where like frozen chip .won't bother going again.some of the good reviews are from the pass owners and not the relevant owners so disappointing .

Absolutely disgusting food ordered at 19:50 came at 20:39 cold so warmed it up a little cause we was waiting ordered deep fried shredded beef chicken balls and salt and pepper chips the chip are chippy chip so not even Chinese no flavour to them what so ever waste of £21 I have ordered from other local Chinese and their food as been out standing but sunrise wow I gave it a try and will never ever use again please avoid there are many better places to order from. in the bin best place for this dirty food

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!!! Ordered deep fried shredded beef chicken balls egg fried rice and salt and pepper chips and YET I RECEIVED CHIPPY CHIPS NEVER SEEN SALT&PEPPER CHIPS THE WHOLE FOOD COME COLD WOULDNT RECOMMEND

Food was bland and over cooked and cold and dry rice was clumped together like it was from a boil in the bag rice, crispy chicken was over cooked and was like just eating scratchings will never order from here again

the food was disgusting and overpriced which is silly as the food is not Good enough quality. the boss jamie likes to employ underage children and make them work for longer hours than they should be. staff was made to babysit the bosses siblings who are all under the the of 10 and are in a dangerous environment.

Shocking. Been using the shop for years. Paid over £18 for this pathetic excuse of a meal. Paid £4 more at Whitby's restaurant last week and had all the works.... Disappointed is not the word!!!!

We have ordered from here quite a few times and it has always been nice. Although the last delivery we had the food wasn't up to the usual standard. We were quite disappointed.

Paid 17.60 for absolutely disgusting rubbish everything was under cooked and looked anemic didn't get what I'd ordered chips were cold 🤮

Minging didn't want prison food for tea

We ordered small cod,small chips and pea's,it was hot and tasty and a very generous portion. Also ordered combo noodle box and prawn balls,again arrived hot and was tasty and generous portions.Arrived within 20mins of ordering online. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Absolutely poor, ordered a special vermicelli, arrived with 2 pieces of chicken, 2 scabby small prawns! Delivered another one after I had complained, arrived 25 minutes after the original order arrived! The noodles were chewy, salt and pepper chips, I’ve had more heat in my socks! The duck spring rolls , we’re just duck rolls but resembled something the cat would eat. The shredded beef….. what beef???? Disgusting customer service, when explained food was cold, was told “well you can keep it and throw it in the bin” Stay well away!!!!!!!!!

Just had a mini fish special and it was perfect! Fish was lovely with meaty flakes. Curry sauce good too! £5.80 for the special, worth it!

Food was poor yesterday. Spicy meat noodle box with no spice, really bland and tasted like it wasnt fresh. Vegetable sweet noodle box was also bland. But fast delivery. Shame. First time I ordered from here it was really nice.

We had Fish, chips & mushy peas delivered on Friday 5th November. The fish was delicious - cooked to perfection - just as good as ever! We will be ordering again soon.

Ordered online an hour before it opening received it at ten past 5 absolutly lovely and plenty

Only brought half a order so phoned then up and they said they would send it straight out ... 25mins later I had to phone up again as all the rest off the food was gettin cold and they said it had just gone with driver .25mins u said straight away !!😡😡 . It eventually came and to be honest was worse chinese I have ever had . Will give them the benefit off doubt and try again as I understand teething problems when new .

I dont go to any other chippy in the village,i onlygo to jones's ,weve just ordered fish n chipsn in all the years ive had them from there tonights was awful.i go to jones because their fish is beautiful,big white flakes,but this was very flat fish n all flaky n chewy around the edges.really disappointed.

The girls are very friendly and professional and you can always have a laugh with them and it's the best chips and fish shop in Rossington better than seaside and I no I have lived at 2 of them
