This is a well established butchers in Tankerton. The meat is good quality and better than any local supermarket. The steak us really good. The charcuterie is also worth trying. They have been in business a long time.

How sad that a great butcher for so many years is going down hill. Recent visit was served by young assistant with little interest in my order. Did not show the meat and seemed disinterested. There were no other customers. If this is to be future service I am no surprised. At their other shop Longs a very different approach. Perhaps because the owner is mostly in the shop.

Been using them for years and usually superb quality meat. This week, special treat of rib-eye steak. Butcher did not show them to me, just bagged them and told me price. Got them home and they were dry around the edges and really tough when I cooked them. So disappointed ☹️

I visit this butchers regularly when I am in Tankerton, the staff here are so friendly and you are guaranteed to have some banter with them when you visit. The meat and deli products are of excellent quality and good value. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff here who will happily answer any questions you have. I have recommended/cooked products from this butchers for my friends and family, the downside to this is that I now get multiple requests to bring back products for them when I'm visiting. Would highly recommend a visit!

One of my go to butchers in the area. Been here for years and always top quality. Queue to the left for meat, queue to the right for cooked meat, pies and cheese. The turkey and ham pie is pretty special, my kids love a sausage pie. Mind you the quiches are always deep filled and brilliant for visiting vegetarians. There’s a hot cabinet with smaller pies and sausage rolls, although I do pop over the road to Dunn’s for their shortcrust Cornish. The quality of the meat is superb, thick smoked back and the sausages are popular, with the whopping Cumberland being the best. The beef burgers are also great. I like the rolled necks of lamb and stuffed chicken breast. In all honesty I could spend £50 without much difficulty, it’s all so good. There’s a good line in frozen produce too, and staff are great and always can suggest a cut if you’re trying out a recipe or provide tips on a roast. Ideal for a big bbq or Xmas order!

I love to visit and pick up the yummie pies and quiche and also their meat. Had some lovely free range pork shops which were delicous.

Not sure about that, very limited.More like a supermarket's idea of a deli with pork pies etc rather than continental hams or salamis.Need a website to save wasted journeys.

Fantastic proper butcher. The home made chicken and ham pie is fantastic! Great range of cooked meats, cheeses and pâtés in addition to all the normal meat which is prepared to my request. Great banter as well!

As with most butchers, they offer better value than supermarkets and better quality, but most importantly they offer a far wider range. They are friendly and helpful keen to talk through the different cuts. As a fan of slow cooking, they offer the range of cuts most suited to this (which happens to be the cheaper cuts). I find their Cumberland sausages to be the best I have had. The other benefit is their deli counter with a very wide range of items and with a great range of local cheese. A must have are the scotch eggs, I watched one of the staff making them. The home made fruit pies are rather good also.

It's just not all about the meat here. It really is good fun listening to the banter between all the butchers. A fab range & the staff are really helpfull. Their pies which you can buy frozen as well as fresh are a must in the winter. Nice deli too for a picnic

Michael the barman went out of his way to make our experience special. The kitchen had just closed but he persuaded the chef to rustle up food for us. Attentive and caring. Thanks

We were there on Saturday for lunch, there was a queue but it was manageable. Restaurant was spacious and seafood were fresh and delicious. Staff was very accommodating with baby and pram but no baby change facilities

Went here because other outlets were good. This has to be the stingiest fish and chips shop ever. I ordered large chips and the portion was tiny. I ordered a small cod and it was half a fish. Chips dry and generally dehydrated and massively over priced. Once bitten twice shy. I will not return. Well below average.

Had a nice bacon baguette really nice good price but feel ripped of paying £3 for supposed American pancakes turns out they are mini ones with syrup, kind of feel I got ripped of there.
