Always amazing!!! Wish I could come every day

Lovely birthday lunch with my wife, and the first time at the restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was great - fresh and very tasty. We had a tofu spring salad and salmon rice bowl, with miso soup and the crispy new potatoes as sides, and were both very happy. We will be back!

That was an awesome experience and I got staff a special dessert treat for my birthday. Very recommend staff are lovely helpful. Place is tidy and clean.

I think this is the best place for dinner in Ely. The food is fantastic and freshly made to order, the service couldn't be more helpful (we were a party of 5 with a buggy and a dog), and the venue is cosy. We had a perfect evening, thank you!

Food was fantastic, people were really chatty and lots of fun especially Nimu, price was decent too, highly recommend.

Had a lovely experience here for an evening meal. I ordered from their vegan menu (which has a good range of options to choose from) and can definitely recommend the spring salad with added tofu. (My friends enjoyed their non-veggie options too 😊)

Went on recommendation of Cambridge Foodies group. Did not regret it, best sushi we'd had in a while. Beautifully presented. Fresh and lots of more unusual menu choices including hot rolls, soft shell crab, duck, strawberry rolls!. My mother, who does not like fish or Japanese food and is a picky eater(but was forced to come by my 7 year old who had a sushi hankering) LOVED the chicken yakisoba. I tried a morsel and can confirm it was excellent. Sides of kakiage vegetables (a touch salty but still delectable) and takoyaki (excellent) were also enjoyed. The decor is fantastic and appreciated the fact the theme was continued up the stairs and in the toilet! Good choice of drinks (particularly alcoholic and green teas). Don't normally do dessert but as others were indulging I tried the pistachio and raspberry cheesecake. Oooooh, reader, it was good! Highly recommended, but book ahead as it's small.

Oh my, amazing!! Such beautiful food. As a gluten free vegan it's so nice to be able to go out and eat decent, interesting food. Please dont come here though because it books up too quickly as it is 🤣🤣 Seriously though, food is fantastic, staff are fabulous. Thank you ❤️

Some of the best Japanese food you can get anywhere in Britain. Huge selection of incredible dishes – mostly a large range of sushi, but also ramen, teriyaki, and side dishes like takoyaki and karaage chicken. Lots of vegetarian and vegan option, all clearly listed, with a separate vegan menu available. They also have Asahi ‘vom fass’ for a fresh cold pint. Cannot recommend highly enough. Ely really needs more quality independent food places like this! I’ve been MANY times and they absolutely *never* disappoint. I highly recommend the dragon sushi rolls and chicken ramen. A few photos from different visits. The one of the huge plate is from the Stamford branch (also excellent, slightly larger seating area as well), but I have precisely zero doubts it would be equally as impressive at the Ely branch.

We visited sushi and salad on a Friday at lunch time. It wasn't too busy and we sat by the window. It has a very warming environment. Jessa was our server. She was brilliant at recommending food and showed us some pictures (I like to visualise). She was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The food was incredible - we had the spicy tofu yakisoba noodles, bamboo roll and vegetable tempura. The flavours were exquisite and we both agreed it was one of the best meals we had every ate. The staff are an asset to the restaurant, we couldn't recommend it anymore.

Came for a Friday night date and had the most beautiful meal!!! Served by wonderful and friendly staff who were brilliant. The food came out super fast considering they were fully booked and so busy. We were looked after by Nimu who suggested the passion fruit and mango cheesecake, which was absolutely delicious. Thank you again !!

We always love eating at Sushi and Salad in Ely - it is always a treat that we look forward to. And it never disappoints; the staff are the most friendly, kind, happy and efficient that they could be and it lifts us up to see them. The food is just wonderful and, having eaten in dozens of sushi restaurants all around the world, this is amongst the very best. We have been previously for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries and it has always been just perfect. Highly recommended and we can't wait to go back.

A good little Japanese restaurant in the centre of Ely with authentic cuisine. We popped in for lunch, as they advertised their £17.99 "Day Lunch Deal". After a bit if confusion trying to order this, (I think the waiting staff were new and didn't know about it) we managed to order a couple of these with chicken katsu and a chicken karaage. They were very tasty and beautifully presented, albeit with a limited amount of chicken. The meal deal came with a drink and a dessert, so was good value overall. I'd recommend it if you like Japanese food.

The food is outstanding! The atmosphere is amazing, so cosy and classy. Have visited multiple times and have enjoyed every one!

When we ate here they allowed far too many takeaway orders than could be accounted for. As a result, they had a restaurant full of diners receiving meals to tables 15-20 minutes apart, and the atmosphere suffered considerably as every twenty minutes a delivery driver arrived and collected a full bag of takeaways and went out the door. We received our first main meals 2 full hours after we arrived and received our last main meal 2:30hrs after we arrived. Absolute joke. For this massive delay, we got a 10 pound discount. Absolutely mental considering the owner was in the building

Great lunch and wonderful service

Nimu and Lynne specifically have been so incredibly lovely and accommodating of me. I am currently pregnant and very picky but they have made my experience so comfortable and enjoyable. I am a regular customer but haven’t been in a while whilst getting used to pregnancy but they remembered me and were so happy to see me again which made me want to stay as long as possible. I really recommend this establishment as all of the staff are so friendly and accommodating and the food is so fresh and good. I had the Wagyu special today and it was absolutely delicious. I usually end up ordering more and more for myself when I’m here which they are happy to do for me, I have added a photo of mt first round but everything else I ate before taking a photo !!! Just so tasty. Thank you guys!

My boyfriend brought me here for a date night and the sushi was delicious. I had a tuna roll with miso soup and he had a wagyu beef roll with squid. Our server, Nimu, was great and so sweet. Would highly recommend and look forward to coming back!
