Visited Grey Street many times and as we planned to come to the coast for a few days, a visit was on my list. Sam was exceptional both in what he presented and the welcome he gave. This is definitely a stand alone 5 star experience and true sushi lovers will become repeat customers. The Squid was amazing. We will definitely be back. Thank you Sam for a great evening.

Great selection of sushi. Wish they also did poke bowls too. Otherwise all their food is great quality.

This restaurant is tiny so if you can I would call to book a table so that you aren’t disappointed if you were planning to eat in. The food here is absolutely beautifully presented and tastes incredible. As well as the food being wonderful, the staff here are also amazing. We last ate here as a family in March and the chef remembered what we had ordered five months later! Definitely one of our favourite places to go for a treat, it’s faultless.

Drove a long way only to be told the food had sold out. What kind of restaurant sells out of food? Are they for real? Absolutely ridiculous. Parking was poor. Place was also tiny and the staff were rude. Would not recommend to anyone.

We often go to Whitley Bay & cannot recommend this place enough for a casual dinner!! Staff are always friendly and food is absolutely amazing! If any restaurant needed to be in the dictionary under “satiated” this place definitely should be! My tastebuds are always happy after eating here! 🥰

Amazing food & a relaxed atmosphere. The guys working there are a great team to watch at work & very friendly. We accidentally left a jumper behind & they caught up with us down the street to return it. Quality service!

Really good sushi but the vibe was awkward being the only table, probably a quiet day for them. Also, it was really cold inside. Food wise I’d definitely recommend but vibe wise go to the Grey St. one. Much nicer.

Absolutely outstanding. Visiting Newcastle for work, decided to see what sushi was available.Better than anything on sale in Manchester.I was not disappointed. Made fresh at the bar, fresh,quality ingredients and some of the flavour combos are just superb! Ordered the chef selection at £24 for 18 pieces. A hidden gem. Best of luck with the restaurant

Lovely little place, we ate our sushi in the back yard, which was a nice surprise as we didn't know there was any outdoor seating. The food was delicious, and the carafe they served the water in was a very pleasing shape.

Always great sushi from here. So tasty and a great range to choose from, all of which are exceptional. I feel the price has gone up and the size of them has gone down of late but the quality is still there so I'm still happy to pay. Never actually eaten in the restaurant, always got take away, but it always seems very cosy and relaxed with some good music playing.

Such quick service but the quality wasn’t compromised at all - you can tell these guys put a lot of effort into making the sushi and presenting it in such a lovely way. Tasted fantastic with lots of dips and very reasonably priced. The shop floor and toilets were spotless too. Will definitely come back again!

Pleasant atmosphere though a small site, definitely book seats in advance in case they’re busy. Price is good value for any sushi restaurant but the food quality is way above many others. Very much worth a visit!

Suffer from bladder issues, asked politely to use the toilet was refused. Pathetic, because of that I’ll not use this business again. Foods usually good as well but I’ll be finding elsewhere.

Constantly great. Their sushi always comes beautifully presented. There’s nothing authentically Japanese about it but that doesn’t matter. The flavours still work and the prices are very reasonable. The drinks menu maybe let’s it down slightly. There’s not a lot of choice and I usually end up with a sparkling water.

We used to always go to Sushi Me Rollin' at stack in Newcastle, so when we found out one was opening near! Well... The guys here are just amazing, they all deserve recognition as easily some of the nicest staff we've met at a resteraunt. Then the food... We've eaten sushi all over and Sushi Me Rollin' still comes out on top. Their quality hasn't dropped a bit over the years and I advise any sushi (or food!) lover to try them.

Menu advertises catering for dietary requirements online they are unable to cater for and the restaurant are unwilling to change their menu to reflect this misleading information.

Great food, served simply with a smile and a bit of craic. Worth the drive and well worth the price. Thanks lads keep on Rollin. With no G! Only dropped a star as not big enough and not somewhere you can chill for a while in comfy seats but still absolutely well worth a visit, or 2 or 3

After so many good reviews, it was really disappointing. Sashimi pieces not much bigger than a 50 pence piece and tasted like they were on the cusp of going off. Some pieces of the sushi with hot mayo were really spicy and others no flavour at all... and for some strange reason hot sauce was on the nigiri but it wasn't supposed to be.

Tried a few things for lunch today was absolutely spot on, will be back!

Oh man that was some nice sushi! Been in here twice now and I got the Chef Selection both times. I have visited so many sushi places both in the UK and America and these portions are bigger than anywhere I've been! Super tasty and moreish :)

I eat alot of sushi. This is the first time I haven't finished all of the wasabi. It's purely because I wanted to experience all the flavours on the sushi. It truly was incredible. I'm from Norfolk and am seriously thinking about returning with the misus and it will solely be so she can experience this place. Thanks very much guys. Fantastic.

After being a frequent visitor to Sushi me rollin at Stack I decided to get myself down to their new premises in Whitley Bay. I ordered the half chefs selection & as always your order is prepared in front of you & the presentation is only surpassed by the taste sensation. Highly recommended & good luck with your future expansion.
