SW16 Bar & Kitchen in Lambeth

Mi hija tuvo su recepción de boda aquí, y no puedo decir suficiente en elogios del personal en el lugar - las mesas estaban muy bien dispuestas y el personal era atento y servicial toda la noche. El servicio fue impecable. Los canapés y la comida eran de primera - tuvimos una tarde y noche maravillosa. Todo el mundo comentó lo encantador que era el personal, y lo deliciosa que era la comida. Recomendaría de todo corazón SW 16 Bar y Cocina.

Tuvimos una buena comida y vino con amigos aquí anoche, pero la experiencia fue amarga por ser prácticamente turfed a las 10 pm. Gastamos 195 libras en la cena para 2 y bebidas para 3 y cuando pedí una copa final de vino a las 9. 45 pm Me informaron en términos claros que cerrarían a las 10 pm. Cuando llegó el vino, la factura y las luces subieron a las 22:00. Lástima que todavía hubiera varias otras mesas que, como nosotros, habían estado allí por la noche. El camarero era encantador, pero el asistente del gerente necesita relajarse y dar a los huéspedes tiempo para pedir facturas, beber y dejar allí una cantidad razonable de tiempo. Soy un gran partidario de este lugar y esto dejó un sabor amargo en mi boca. Si el bar está abierto hasta las 10 de la noche, no esperaría luces a esa hora, tal vez a las 10 . 30 ? Vergüenza, buena pasta y vino antes de eso. Incluso tuve mi cumpleaños aquí hace unos meses, (Vivo a la vuelta de la esquina) , pero un poco pospuesto ahora.

¡Qué experiencia maravillosa! El servicio, la atención al detalle, la comida y el ambiente eran todos excepcionales. Éramos un grupo familiar grande generacional mixto celebrando un cumpleaños. Tom con su cálida manera amable y atento servicio que dirige el equipo trabajó tan duro para hacernos sentir bienvenidos y bien alimentados. La comida es única con su propia versión moderna de los clásicos italianos y la presentación de todos los platos fue comida para los ojos también. El personal también estaba bien informado sobre sus vinos y creó algunos maridajes geniales. Un montón aquí para disfrutar y en un entorno encantador, muy recomendable!

Hemos sido grandes fans de SW 16 por más de 3 años, visitamos regularmente y estoy firmemente convencido de que no encontrará mejor pasta que esta en la ciudad! El personal es absolutamente maravilloso - tan amable y atento, y expertos en su menú y carta de vinos. La comida es divina; solo se puede decir la habilidad y la cocina que entra en cada plato. ¡La pasta es para morir y es lo que nos hace volver una y otra vez! Me encanta que el menú sea de temporada, haciendo uso de productos de alta calidad, y significa que siempre se puede esperar algo diferente. Además, el entorno es hermoso: me encanta la sensación de interior al aire libre y la estética general, desde el diseño interior hasta la lista de reproducción. Se siente tan elegante pero también relajado, y es el lugar perfecto para una cita nocturna o un cóctel nocturno. Teniendo en cuenta todo esto, tuvimos 2 x cócteles, 2 x entrantes, 2 x tuberías, 2 x copas de vino *y * compartimos un postre por £ 80 en total. ¡Qué robo! Eso es utilizar tanto su happy hour como su oferta de pasta y vino. Por la calidad, el entorno, el servicio y solo el ambiente en general, es una ganga absoluta. Parece una cena de alta gama, pero siempre nos sorprende la factura. Sin duda seguiremos volviendo aquí como amantes de SW 16 e instamos a cualquier otra persona que ama la pasta tanto como yo a hacerles una visita!

Horas felices con £ 12 por 2 cócteles. Es cierto que el aperitivo era un poco pequeño pero sabroso. El plato principal era del tamaño correcto y los postres eran todos sabrosos. Me di cuenta de que había un cargo por servicio de lo contrario estaría encantado de dar un consejo, ya que el personal es muy amable.

No te vayas, es una estafa absoluta. Fuimos al bar en happy hour solo para tomar algo. Nos dijeron que teníamos que sentarnos a la mesa que estaba a menos de un metro del bar. Me cobraron 57 libras. 45 por 4 bebidas, más tarde me di cuenta de que me cobraron £ 6. 39 por cargos de servicio. No me importa pagar un poco más ya que es un bar de vinos, pero tomó una copa y se fue. Nunca más

Haciendo eco de algunas de las otras reseñas. £ 7 por 4 x de los tacos más pequeños que he visto ( 1 x bocado cada uno). Chicos, en serio, estafa absoluta aquí. Entiendo que pedimos guarniciones/aperitivos, pero cuando pides patatas fritas esperas que vengan más de 4, sean o no gruesas. Gran entorno y bebidas encantadoras. ¡Pero este claramente no es el lugar para comer! ¡Temoría ver cómo queda la red! El tamaño y precio de la porción es un 0 rotundo , sé que es Londres pero es un poco embarazoso. ¡Debería haber tomado una foto!

Really disappointing venue. Food and service both incredibly poor, portion sizes very small also. We were advised by the staff that they do not have a kids menu but can adapt dishes. We had a 3 & 6 year old with us; ordered the pancakes for them and asked for a kids portion. Was advised by staff that they couldn’t adapt these for the kids but that the portions weren’t that big. Pancakes were disgracefully small, 2 tiny pancakes, our 6 year old finished them and was still Hungry after - it is not an adult portion. Two of us ordered the seafood linguine and the other the chicken salad. The ‘linguine’ was spaghetti, a very poor sauce with minimal seafood. Admittedly I asked for no squid, however, my portion had a total of 2 overcooked and chewy prawns and 3 mussels, my mums was similar (this dish costs £14.50). The salad that was ordered was covered in a sauce that was a bit off with a very small amount of very bland chicken, so my sister couldn’t finish it as it was so tasteless. The service was incredibly slow, we had to ask for the bill twice before someone brought it. I advised the staff of the poor food quality and service and the only thing offered from them was to change some of the food (this is 20 minutes after we finished eating), they did not offer any compensation or even a chat with the manager, nothing. Overall an incredibly disappointing experience, would definitely not go back here and would not recommend. We all left hungry and felt it was a complete waste of money.

Loved everything about SW16 - recently moved to the area and have now been back a couple of times. We were served by Alice who was lovely, can’t recommend enough!

The food was lovely, each course was just the right position for a three course meal. Went for a work Christmas Dinner and the food did not disappoint. I had a really good salmon dish as a main and the dessert was ok apart from the especially crunchy biscuit with my grilled pineapple.

Food was very tasty but have never been presented with such a tiny portion of carbonara, which barely covered the bottom of bowl. Really stingy and definitely NOT value for money. Pasta and a few bits of bacon are not expensive. However, there was a nice atmosphere and great service.

Went with my partner and a friend. They really enjoyed their food but I had the beetroot humous on sourdough toast with artichoke. It looked nice but putting very wet humous and artichoke on toast made the toast soggy and unpleasant. The waiter asked if it was all ok so I explained and he not only took it off the bill but returned with delicious sourdough toast and jam as a replacement. That was really good of him as I was not going to say or do anything . Really want to go back now and try some of their other dishes as they looked so good. Plea to the chef- please don’t put wet food on crunchy toast 😀.

I kept hearing how good the fresh pasta here was, and was walking past today with my brother and decided to pop in and give it a try. Didn't even know it was open for lunch on a Tuesday tbf. Really friendly service from the young manager guy, ordered 2 bowls of fresh pasta, tagliatelle with slow cooked beef and a ricotta gnocchi with courgettes, peas and cheese. Absolutely delicious, and quick too! Highly recommend, I'm local so will be back soon, a definite hidden gem, as Hood is now closed, I'd say this is the best food in Streatham Hill that I've tried in a long time....

FANTASTIC HOSTS. We had the nicest lazy Saturday afternoon at SW16 bar and kitchen and Keith and Sagal were so great. So engaging and friendly and meant that we stayed for hours chatting with them and drinking lovely wine. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing food and cocktails…. This has to be the best restaurant in Balham. High quality restaurant food at a great price with creative cocktails… Our favourite place by a mile!

Be in no doubt thiz is a lovely bar....good cocktails nice service but the real find is the food which is exceptionally good. Don't be fooled into thinking this is bar food it's not it is topnotch Italian cooking .

SW16 Bar & Kitchen has the potential to be a lively evening venue. So, when we popped in for an early evening meal, we weren’t expecting anything more than bar food. In actual fact the simple menu is very well executed. My steak, and my partner’s salmon were both cooked perfectly, and were well seasoned. The fish was translucent and succulent with crispy skin. The steak accompanied with fragrant rosemary which didn’t overpower. Desserts of tiramisu and cheesecake were very good too. The addition of sesame seeds and use of feta cheese made the cheesecake unusual. Surprisingly, this combination, without being overly sweet, made for a very good pudding. On the whole this was a very nice meal, that exceeded expectations, at a very reasonable price. We’ll definitely come back.

Delicious food, portions on the modest side for the price. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. It would have been 5 stars if the portions had been a touch bigger! Overall fantastic place, lucky to live so close and will definitely be returning in the future.

A really warm genuine greeting is always a good start. We arrived first and ordered a glass of wine, Picpoul was on the house wine list, tick Number 2 on my list. I spotted the cocktail maker chilling out glasses, tick Number 3. All this in cool surroundings that becomes a work space during the week! Lovely staff with a perfect balance of chat and service. Buzzy chat rang out through the room and the food was delicious.

Easy to contact and answered quickly . Good service and Sunday lunch meat was great and the roasties lovely and crispy , more veg next time but overall pretty good 👍

Great vibe! Arrived at 7PM and the restaurant was already 75% full. It filled up and stayed so till we left at 9:30. Great menu, not big but all very tempting. Amongst other dishes we had Steak tartar and Scallop Ceviche, Spaghetti with crab meat, runner beans, cherry tomato, chilli, garlic, parsley and Tortellini with calamari, prawns, clams, ricotta and courgette. All of them great! Drinks were also excellent including a couple of pints of 'neck oil' and some Picpoul. Staff were warm and attentive including in particular Jennifer the General Manager.

This was our first visit, but our daughters and friends have been a number of times. What a great venue! We had brunch - the short rib and smashed avocado, both of which were excellent. Staff were super friendly and attentive. It’s a really relaxed...

Went for dinner at the last minute and really pleased we did. Excellent cocktails followed by thoughtful well executed food. Nothing too predictable and all fresh and good quality. Surpassed our expectations Nd definitely recommend. Service was warm and knowledgeable.

Great, such an improvement of the last two iterations. Drinks are generally good but beers a bit predictable. Had lagunitas to begin with but haven’t had it in a while. Been twice in quick succession for dinner. First was really great, perfect seasoning etc and...

Really enjoyed our leisurely brunch at SW16 and the chef even came out himself to deliver our food (which was beautifully presented and delicious). Manager was very friendly as were the servers.
