Very costly... food is ok.. price varies from their outside menu card... 10 pounds extra service charge which we never had in any other restaurants in London.. For 2 adults 2 kids, we ordered rice, 1 roti, 1 naan, 1 curry -- costs 70 pounds.. never trust their review boards or trip advicer recommendations.. rating 2/10

Walked in spontaneously after a long train ride and it was the perfect dinner for me and my family. We had a great meal that was flavorful and delicious. Amazing, funny, and attentive service and staff! Definitely recommend for the food and atmosphere.

Intimate restaurant the dishes are delicious and tasty. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed ourselves. I appreciated the quality and flavors of the dishes.

Honestly every dish was delicious - especially the butter chicken the lamb dhansak, prinjal aubergine, the bhindi - but everything was fresh, delicious. The naan were light and crunch and fluffy and excellent also - friendly and relaxed service - we will definitely come back.

We came in the evening…. then the next day at noon, so I might as well tell you that not only was it very good, but the welcome was also very warm! Wide choice on the menu, beautiful location, welcoming staff, close to the train station… so many positive things about this restaurant.

Curries too oily with digestive discomfort for days. Tried the Thali. Only dal is very good. 20% off for booking a table online trap: Got the bill and I reminded them that I booked a table online, deal was honored. The check was redone with 20% off but then a 20% service charge was added (lol). Much hesitation to remove service charge but removed.

Everything was perfect. We were here to celebrate my friend's birthday. Every single staff were very friendly. They even played dul and mondira to wish happy birthday for my friend. Really appreciated the overall experience. I strongly reccommend Taj Mahal Indian Cuisine to everyone else.

Taj Mahal service was extraordinary they booked us in for a 60 person booking at the last minute due to a cancellation at another venue. The staff were so welcoming and attentive and the food was wonderful we have a fabulous evening! Highly recommend

Shipwrecked in London unexpectedly and came upon this delightful restaurant with a relaxed, unpretentious and very friendly atmosphere. They serve Cobra on tap and some of the most delicious Biryanis and Madras with a kick that I’ve encountered anywhere in London for these prices. Right near Kings Cross Station so perfectly situated whatever your situation. Give them a try. You won’t regret.

The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the service is impeccable. The waiters were attentive and very polite. As for the food, we ordered the chaat samosa as a starter, which was delicious. The combination of sauces, chickpeas, pomegranate and the samosas was amazing. We also ordered butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, accompanied by the special fried rice and garlic naan. The chicken in both dishes was exquisite, very well marinated and cooked, it was noticeable in the flavor and texture. The rice was delicious, it was worth eating alone. In short, a very good place, not excessively expensive and with good food. There are no photos because everything smelled incredible and we were hungry😂

At taj mahal restaurant the food is little bit good but the service is very poor. Staff are friendly however it takes time for them to cook. Also, the quantity is not as much as expected. It is costly and they charge additional service charge which is completely unnecessary.

Had good food at Taj Mahal recently. We ordered chicken biryani, jeera rice, dal tadka, sev puri and Ras malai. Everything was really good and the portion size was also decent. The Ras mail seemed to have. A slightly bitter taste maybe coz of the kesar. We didn’t like that they were kind enough to take it off the bill as we didn’t eat it. The staff were polite and served us well. Good place to try Indian food in kings cross.

Don't always do Dishoom - check out this wonderful place too. Lovely home cooked and fresh food and the best chicken tikka masala I've tried and I'm not even a big fan of that dish in general but here it's scrumptious with a lip smacking tasty rich sauce, there's lots of delicious food all round. I really liked all the dishes and ate all the curries before taking puctures they were that good! Excellent quality meat and superb service, wonderful atmosphere and I'm coming back next time I'm in the St Pancras area. Highly recommended!

Its bang opposite the Kings cross railway station, and a beautiful view of the Kingscross Churches tower and clock can be seen as the backdrop. The road is lined with eateries, luggage storage, souvenir shops owned by expatriates from Bangladesh, PoKJ, and Kashmir.. They all are pretty connected with their roots and surprisingly very proud of their Hindu roots. A taxi driver I met was proud of the fact that he had origins from a place where the vast majority of the erstwhile population was Hindus. That apart Tajmahal is just a front to sell British kitsch that goes in the name of Indian food. It has little relation with Indian spices. Except for Nans the other dishes are actually fabricated in the UK.. The taste is bland for the Indian palate, its a very diluted version of Indian meals. Almost tastes sweet.. But that's the closest you will come to South Asian food.. Would rate the food as just palatable. Go if you're really hungry..

Overpriced and food is not good

I would like to say that this is the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten, but sadly we didn’t get the chance to try it! They seem very intent on getting you into the restaurant (and there are three Indian restaurants in a row vying for your business), but once we were in and seated they ignored us, even though there were four waiters standing around (and one outside hustling more people in). We left after waiting for ten minutes - we didn’t even get to order a drink.

A good Indian restaurant not far from Kings Cross station. I really enjoyed the chicken chilli garlic and the Australian wines.
