We have been coming here for over a year now and order the exact same thing every time due to special dietary needs of my family. The young waiter looks after us so well and having him serve us just makes our evening here perfect. The lamb karahi is amazing and the chef should be proud. If you are from London you will know everyone talks about Tayybas lamb karahi; I will tell you this is 100 times better. We enjoy coming here because it is a great casual evening out, no fancy frills. Just great food and excellent service from young guy who knows to always give my son extra cucumbers.

I eat a lot of curry’s all round the country and this one tonight was one of, if not, the best I’ve had… Everything from the poppadoms and pickle tray to the desserts were unbelievable, authentic and fresh, the waiters and service were exceptional and could not fault a thing, can’t wait to go back. Dad’s 85th birthday went down a treat here. Lovely service, gave us extra treats and didn’t rush us through the service which was really nice. Food was lovely and we all had a good time.

WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND DUE TO STAFF!!! Absolutely worse experience with staff. We were invited in a party but staff threatened my child saying "they are going to put him in boiling water!" When we went to ask they lied initially that my child is lying!! When confronted him with child, he then apologised for lying as he said he was scared to not create a fuss! I don't understand what kind of words were these to use child and then you make excuse to lie and blame my child instead?? PATHETIC! P.S.food was good.

My go to place for a meal out, prices are perfect and the food is incredible. I'll always get the chicken karahi with garlic naan it's a staple! Been here 4 times already and the food has always been the best! Served by Love today who was so kind and so accommodating.

Majestic Indeed. I really do find it hard to review a restaurant that is a 5 start 10 out of 10. I want to find a fault with it. I can't fault Taj this time or any of the times. I’ve been going on and off there for 40 odd years. They been a staple of Leeds for multiple generation. Started off one the very first takeaways on Roundhay Road. Servings proper traditional Pakistani food and sweets. Now, Taj finally have established an eating-in experience worth paying for. The prices are so competitive you would think it's one of the high end places we get from Bradford. For me, Taj are better. The quality of the menu supersedes quantity, with staple traditional Pak-British combinations to suit everyone. It's all very well taking a photo of the food before you eat it. How about one of the empty dishes. Too good to not eat it all up.

Actually appauled at the service provided by Guvinder the manager here. We ordered a MILD curry from Taj. The lady confirmed it was mild and told us to collect it from the restaurant in 15 minutes. After waiting 40 minutes we came home and the curry was extremely spicy. The mild curry was for a guest who can’t have too much spice due to a condition. When I called back the manager said drop that back off and then I can have a new one made! I live quite far out. It’s around a 15 minute drive there and the same back. He didn’t offer a refund or a coupon to redeem or for someone to reliever. Appalling service.

Tried lamb Karahi with tandoori roti, it was unreal, delicious. And the jalebi was top-notch with high class service. Thank you for the food mashallah.

Don’t come here any more because the uncle is very clever adding more money on the machine when you pay by card 😂 check the total before u pay ur bill

Tried the lunch offer and prices were economical. 10/10 for Food / chicken with rice , poori nashta Service 10/10 : VIP class service from Adil who kept ensuring the food was satisfying. The owners daughter was also present and she recommended the right dish according to my requirements . Restaurant hygiene 10/10 Ambience 10/10 . Very relaxing vibe Everything was prepared piping hot and spices were just perfect. Portions were satisfying. Would surely return again to try their famous lamb Karahi and charsi chicken .

Went just as they opened in the afternoon. Was quiet probably because people don't expect a restaurant like this to be open in the afternoon. Had naan with chicken tikka. Was well cooked, very tasty. Will definitely go back

Food was not good at all. There is no cheese in the cheese nan. Quantity and quality of the paneer masala poor .

We had take away yesterday . Normaly we go for dine in enjoyed all the time. but this time we did take out. Food was not nice at all. Lots of different sauce in grill and they said you didn't mention that . but this our fourth time and we always order this but they keep saying you didn't mention about the sauce and we never mention about sauce. there was no much cheese in cheese Nan. And paneer portion was less for £11.

Starter ok however the mint yoghurt sauce is like water. Never had a biryani without curry sauce!!. This was just rice and chicken!!. When asked for sauce said put in yogurt sauce very surprised. Prices not bad 2.95 onion bargi special lunch biryani 6.45 and two chapati.75 each.

The family that own Taj have been serving excellent, authentic food to the residents of Leeds for many years. Their new restaurant on Roseville Rd is elegant, intimate, and scrupulously clean. You are warmly welcomed by staff and made to feel right at home. The menu is purposefully small, reflecting authentic cuisine, so you won’t find chicken tikka masala here. The ingredients appear to be of the highest quality, and are expertly cooked to order. There are many fine Indian & Pakistani restaurants in Leeds, however if you’re looking for authentic dishes and a genuine warm welcome, you need to make the short trip to Taj. You won’t regret it

got myself a kebab in pitta bread from the roundhay road branch.. Kebab was old and dry. Had one bite and threw the rest in the bin. Don't know how they could serve food like that to customers
