The service is sweet but but the ice cream scoops are really mean. There is a choice of ice cream shops in the area so management needs to decide if they want repeat business or not.

This establishment don't understand or care about allergy law. My son has a severe milk allergy. We asked for information on the ingredients in a sausage sandwich and told the waitress about his allergy. We were told that the bread was dairy free. We asked for a sausage sandwich with nothing else on. When it arrived, we spotted it had butter on. We pointed this out to the waitress who said that we hadn't told her. Her exact words were 'I'm not a mind reader. I'm suprised the fact that butter has milk in needs to be explained to somebody in the food industry. She left without taking the sandwich and we waited for a replacement. After a while, it was obvious none was coming. I asked if it was going to be replaced and they told me it would be 10 mins. They had clearly no intention of rectifying it before I asked. They told me that we were being awkward and told me to leave. They gave my money back and I told them that we would be reporting them to trading standards, which we now have. Hopefully they can be given the right guidance and be made to understand the potential seriousness of allergies before someone comes to harm.

Pooped in after a bad experience in another beach café. Gentleman serving us was great. Cooked a lovely bacon and egg sandwich and served to outside table. Reasonably priced and friendly service. The five star rating is in for similar establishments. It is good old fashioned seaside beach café food plus a good selection of ice creams.

Terrible tasting pints. No wonder the place was empty.

If you’re looking for a cozy, dog-friendly pub with great food and atmosphere, this spot is perfect. On a rainy and windy day, we were seated near the crackling fireplace, which made the experience even more comforting and inviting. The oysters were fresh and beautifully served, while the hearty pub classics—like fish and chips and a roast with Yorkshire pudding—were absolutely delicious. Everything paired perfectly with a pint of Guinness. Best of all, the pub is dog-friendly, so your furry friend can stay warm and cozy with you while you enjoy great food and company. Highly recommend for a welcoming, traditional pub experience, especially on a stormy day!

Eating here is just like eating a subway in New York, Miami, or Chicago...except from this one you see in the distance the magnificent and storied spires of the Canterbury Cathedral. Who wouldn't want to have that view whilst enjoying a fine subway sandwich?
