Buena comida y servicio. De la comida pedida, la caja Bento, Raman y Pollo. , Bento fue la más equilibrada. El pollo era solo eso y el arroz... no mucho en el camino de Veggie. Bit Pricy sin embargo, está en la cinta de cercanías momia delicioso ... pero aún así . , cerca de £ 20 por 5 piezas de pollo y arroz en caja es un poco mucho.

Service 7/10 friendly and very quick. Location 10/10 Balham is lovely. Value 6/10 - bento box good value but the sushi wasn’t great and ramen value only fair. £54 total bill for 2 people no drinks

Found this place on accident and was not disappointed :) The waiter serving me was really accommodating and the food tasted great! At a reasonable price too. Would definitely recommend.

Disappointing. Eaten here loads before. Always been great sushi if a bit slow service. But today was not good. Old fish. Wrong orders. Sloppily made Balham roll. And too few waiters. Come on Taro, do better!!!

If you want one of the best lunches in the area, then look no further. For something really delicious, choose a lunchtime bento box special, which comes with a bowl of miso soup. Visit here and you won't be disappointed.

Ordered food for the family through deliveroo and Pimlico branch made a mistake in the order providing less California tools than ordered and paid for. Upon calling they argued that they were right despite being able to provide proof of payment and itemized order. Their solution after much discussion was for us to physically walk to ten restaurant in the rain to the restaurant so they can show that we were wrong. Upon arriving at restaurant we providing ten required proof and still they were repeating the same argument that they delivered what we order. The waiter then told the suhsi chef who was a as rude as they get, to make teh shortfall and then even suggested that we get 2 extra pieces (big deal). The sushi chef then decided on his own accord to disagree with teh waiter and only make the lower amount. He had to be told to make what was agreed. He was incredibly rude and none of the other staff seemed to be bothered. This restaurant is a shambles and seems to care less about customer service and more about running a nickel and dime approach to small scale sushi. It's a shambles and the chef should be sacked. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Today i visited taro Balham restaurant its amazing food i like chicken don and bentos as well Sushi i love amazing dishes i recommend its nice place with good staffs,.

Last minute decision to try Balham for an early lunch. Busier than expected on the high street - Taro proved a nice quieter option. D opted for the Beef Bento Box, I chose a selection of chicken tempura and tuna tempura served with wonderfully strong slices of ginger and a powerful wasabi. All the flavours were spot on. Service was prompt and always with a smile. Oh and it's decor is spot on too! Glazed exposed brick walls with some innovative overhead lighting. Thoroughly recommend.

Ordered a deliveroo. No katsu sauce on the chicken, bland noodles, bland everything! Seafood soup? You'd be lucky to find anything other than seaweed. I'd have gotten more flavour in a supermarket ready meal. Won't buy from them again. Very disappointed

I just ordered sushi from Taro for takeaway and it was slathered in mayonnaise. I had to wipe each piece to be able to eat it. It got two te makis, chefs roll and balham roll. The rolls were not well rolled. They didn’t have any taste. The fish roe on top of the sushi wasn’t fresh and “poppy”. I won’t be going back. The last time I went there there was a hair in my sushi box. I know Taro isn’t meant to be fine dining, but it is not watching over quality (different cooks are serving at different standards and I have had a good meal only 2/5). I will go to Maki&Co on Garrat Lane next time.

The Takoyaki is amazing with proper authentic flavours. The sushi is delicious but I wish there was a wider selection of rolls without mayonnaise as this really isn’t authentic. I understand catering to westerners palette but it really should be a crime to put Mayo on sushi. I was too shy to ask for the roll I was anted without Mayo so I just got the salmon sushi set and the eel and avocado roll. Both were delicious. The Ebi Gyoza is also very tasty and authentic. It isn’t served with a gross sticky sauce like most places seem to serve with gyoza in Britain. The dipping sauce is simple and how it should taste. They didn’t have the hot sake when I visited the high was a shame but maybe next time. I thoroughly enjoyed the food but the service could definitely improve. I didn’t like how the dishes came out quite sporadically and in an order that didn’t really make sense. Luckily, it wasn’t too much of an issue because in this occasion my partner and I were sharing everything but if we were to order separate starters and entrees it would’ve been highly annoying to be served at different times so that we couldn’t eat together. I think this should be improved for a smoother service and better dining experience. The staff weren’t overly attentive either. Overall, good experience and we will be back again but there is definite room for improvement.

Waited an hour and a half for our Uber eats order from Taro. Was then cancelled by the restaurant without any explanation. Don’t bother.

Really impressive with the foods I received. The taste was extremely awesome. Will order again and again. thank you for such a wonderful taste. Loved it!!!

Several times I ordered takeaway and today I went for dinner (this time seated). I really enjoyed everything. Everything was delicious and the service was simple (I love when you eat quietly). I'll be back for sure. Thank you guys. Keep it up !

We just had the most fun, once again, at this great little restaurant. The food is always amazing and the staff are great. Perfect place for a celebration and always ‘rock the boat’ baby xx

I booked online for my friend's birthday. From start to finish the evening was perfect. Cosy atmosphere, very clean inside. Extensive menu to choose from. The food arrived and oh my we all agreed it was the best meal out we'd had in ages! So delicious. Great for vegetarians too. I would also like to highly praise the lovely service, we were shown to our tables immediately, waited on throughout and they went above and beyond to ensure it was a special birthday celebration and gave us treats. I will be recommending to everyone! Thank you so much.
