Relaxed atmosphere, but tables are too close together and cramped. Portions are large and satisfying, I recommend you get information from the waiter when ordering the main course. The wines on the menu are of medium quality and ideal for a comfortable dinner.

The restaurant has a truly beautiful interior – the design is elegant, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. It’s the perfect place for a cozy dinner or a special occasion. The staff was very polite and attentive, making the dining experience pleasant from the moment we walked in. However, I must admit that the food left me disappointed. While the presentation was nice, the flavors didn’t meet my expectations. I was hoping for authentic Greek tastes, but the dishes lacked the richness and quality I was looking forward to. Overall, it’s a lovely place to visit for its ambiance and service, but the food could definitely use some improvement.

On arrival we were partly walked to the table and then pointed the rest of the way which resulted in my daughter and myself having a different understanding of which table was ours. Handed the menus we had a look and were then asked if we wanted a drink. I asked if they served cordial and I was told I don’t serve cordial in my restaurant. Hi hum. Food ordered and arrived. Our arrived in good time and was ok but others around were a few drinking and the food had not arrived. We were all having a laugh about it as tables close so it felt like we were all one big group.

Great restaurant in the centre of town supplying genuine greek cuisine. The staff are brilliant and perfectly attentive. Plenty of choice and the quality is superb.

Great food, the price was supposed to be 32£, i ended up paying 52£(20£ service charge), nobody ever told me about that upon entry. Just stay away from these scammers! They lied shamefully about the price, the menu states the price clearly 13,60 £

Taverna Meraki is like taking a step into Kassiopi in Corfu! The Soutzoukakia for starters were incredible! Freshly made in a lovely tomato sauce! Couldn’t go wrong with a seabass for the mains! Presentation was on point! Felt naughty and ordered a bougasta for dessert! 😍😍 Service was incredible, was very well looked after by Cam & Co. Chefs did a fantastic job. Cheers guys!

Our food was average and overpriced. We had chicken souvlaki and when I’ve had that before at other Greek restaurants or made by Greek families it was always very tasty. But at Meraki they serve the rice unsalted and the chicken unsalted so it was really quite bland. Staff were friendly but I was disappointed when they asked how everything was and we said “fine” unenthusiastically, they didn’t pick up on a cue to ask more about our experience. Lastly I have never missed the usual Greek hospitality and generosity as much as when there was no little treat on the house with the bill, like a bite of dessert or a little shot glass of something. Not worth £50, sorry :(

We really enjoyed our recent visit, having been recommended by a friend. The staff were very friendly, providing excellent service. Food was delicious. The lamb fricassee melted in the mouth, and the gemista (stuffed veg) were rich and flavourful. Finished off with scrumpy desserts. We'll come back next time we're in town.

Ate there early on a Saturday evening and it was reasonably busy. Food was variable, my main course was ok but my husband’s was below the standard we expect and he woke during the night with an upset stomach. Staff were lovely. Decor was very dark with cheap and nasty artificial flowers. We were seated at a very small table right up against a tiled wall, which felt quite cramped. Would not recommend, won’t eat there again.

5 star all the way, food was superb as was everything else about our Saturday afternoon lunch. 😋

Good service and excellent food.

Food was very average and over priced. Staff were lovely but lost our booking, forgot multiple dishes and charged us for extra things we didn’t receive, and didn’t have enough menus to give to us. I won’t be going back again or recommending this to other people.

The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, the food falls short—probably it was excessively greasy, we felt nauseous midway through the meal, despite all ordering different dishes from the menu.

I wouldn't recommend it, food wasn't that good, apart from the octopus which was okay. They put us outside on the terrace and the chairs were wet and when we got up we were soaking wet, then when we told the staff they started laughing. Totally not recommend it

Really yummy Greek restaurants - my partner and I got lots of different things and shared meze style. Highlights are octopus and the grilled sausage! Really lovely environment - overall a good experience.

We went there for dinner. The atmosphere was nice but not fancy, more casual than expected. We ordered mixed meze plate, taramasala was a bit salty but tatziki and hummus was good. For main course, we had mousakka and lamb. The dishes were quite big and tasty. We expected uzo to be part of the drink menu but it was only served as shots so we didn't ordered it. Overall nice food but nothing special.

My third time here and again did not disappoint,lovely ambiance, friendly service and delicious food which sadly I couldn't finish as so full! The Portokalopita dessert was just as I remembered from my last visit to Corfu...lovely!

I am a big fan of Greek food but this was clearly not authentic. Flavourless and heavy to eat. Atmosphere and service was ok but would definitely not recommend. Pita and dips felt out from Tesco and just heated up. Other food felt was done few days before and re heated

This was our first visit to the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The service was excellent. The food was amazing. The food was fresh, tasty and absolutely delicious. 10/10. The atmosphere was great, we felt like we were on holiday! Next time we are in Leamington we will definitely be visiting again.

What a beautiful venue with an amazing choice of food and drinks. We ventured in for breakfast and it was delicious, and very reasonably sized portion. The Freddo iced coffee was also amazing, we ended up purchasing one to go as well as with our breakfast! Would definitely come again to try the lunch and dinner. Our server was lovely too!

Pleasant decor and friendly staff meant we had high hopes for the evening, then our meals came... Arriving suspiciously quickly, the food looked perfectly fine but some dishes had a rancid taste as though they'd been dragged through a urinal trough. This place is an insult to Greek cuisine and food in general, don't touch with a bargepole. Do your tastebuds a favour and eat elsewhere.

Terrible experience, first and last time in this restaurant. Service was very poor and food terrible. Not even the chance to tell this face to face to the staff because nobody came to check if we were ok. Ordered only cold and hot meze asking to have the cold first, but they brought everything together and there was not even space on the table so we had to put everything in a plate and start eating fast. Mussels were disgusting, left all there. The hummus was dry (must have been prepared days before and left in the fridge). Feta cheese was super strong. Etc etc.

Always apprehensive about greek tavernas in the uk, having a greek wife especially. However the food was actually good. The grilled meats were very satisfactory and cooked to personal preference with precision. The place looked and felt very greek inside. Clean and a good ambience. However two things didn’t sit well. One was the service. Was very rushed, not too welcoming and not attentive. The second and while it sounds petty, was I didn’t get my free beer for Father’s Day. It’s just one of those gimmick things I wanted to experience at it was my first Father’s Day with my 11 month old. Otherwise, good food and pleasant meal.

Came early evening on bank holiday Monday. Just a couple of other tables and us. Service was friendly, but not overly attentive once orders were taken. We took our baby with us and they offered us high chairs. Food was glorious - we opted for many mezze plates. We had 5 mezze plates between the 2 of us which was ample. The baklava was dreamy! Even if you don't have room, order the baklava anyway!

I visited Taverna Meraki last week and had a wonderful lunch there. Before I talk about the food, I want to mention the absolutely superb service provided by all the wait staff there. Very friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The decor and atmosphere in the restaurant also really hit the spot. There were only a couple of occupied tables as it was just a random weekday lunchtime but the restaurant still had a really pleasant ambience. Now for the food. I ordered off the a la carte menu and got spanikopita to start, pork souvlaki with rice for my main, and baklava for dessert. Before my starter arrived, I was brought some complementary bread with a whipped beetroot dip. The bread was sadly stale and slightly unpleasant but the dip was delicious. The spanikopita was absolutely the star of the show. Beautiful crispy, flaky pastry, the filling was divine, topped with the perfect amount of feta and dill, and it was a decent sized portion. It was so delicious that I ended up ordering another portion to go so that I could eat it at home for breakfast the next day! A 10/10. The pork souvlaki was also very good, the meat was tender and perfectly charred, the only let down was the rice which was unfortunately overcooked and textureless. 8/10. The baklava (which I ordered without ice cream) was sadly quite disappointing. It's one of my favourite greek desserts but this piece seemed to have been warmed in the microwave so the pastry had lost all of its integrity and was no longer crispy and flaky, but a mushy mess. The spices and flavours were still excellent but the lack of definition in the layers and the unpleasant soggy texture really let this dish down for me. 5/10.

I'm 3/4 Greek and I have been tk lots of tavernas in Greece and the Greek islands. I can can honestly the standard at Taverna Meraki is very good in comparison and all of the dishes we ordered were tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful too. We will definitely be coming back.

I was visiting Leamington and stopped at a place called taverna Meraki, I was sooo surprised off how beautiful the place was. It’s had an amazing atmosphere. The food was delicious one off the best restaurants around highly recommend for anyone.

Went Saturday evening 9-3-24 with friends, visited this place last year and was not impressed at all so thought I would give it a second go. Food was brought out extremely quickly so not freshly cooked and every dish quite disappointing. Been to Greece many times and food experience is lovely, not here I am afraid, I won't return or recommend. Staff lovely and restaurant quite nice but food .......................

Service charge put on when 5 it’s hard enough taking a family out but to have that put on is disgusting should always have choice without asking for it to be removed and service was not great

Very disappointing. Bland food. Calamari and chips soggy chips, more batter than calamari. Chicken souvlaki little flavour, beef bifteki flavourless burger, little Greek about any meal.

I think it's okay is probably fair. The starters were absolutely lush. But, the main courses average at best. £32 for the mixed grill was expensive... The steak was nice but the rest of it average at best. Service is fine, but in a fully packed out restaurant to have two servers is just mental... Penny pinching considering they charge mad prices for Leamington. What really annoyed me most about this place is really... 1) The £20 booking deposit for a simple two person table... Not even Michelin Starred London restaurants take money as a deposit (your credit card yes, if you don't turn up! But not any money!) 2) The 15% service charge being added to the bill is absolutely ludicrous. We are in Leamington Spa not London!! Unacceptable!! (Staff are absolutely lovely nonetheless!!!!) N.B: Since been to Greek Zante Street Kitchen and it is SO much better than Taverna Meraki - it gets downgraded due to the level of difference.

Authentic Greek restaurant with a great menu of tasty food. We had halloumi fries and garlic pitta followed by chicken souvlaki and another dish with like lamb and beef patties. All served with delicious fries, pitta and salad. Really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend. Would imagine you’d need to book for a weekend but a Monday night walk in was ok.

Eating out should be a treat. This wasn’t. It was disappointing and very unsatisfactory. For pre-meal drinks to sip while we perused the menu we ordered Ouzo. This came as a neat single shot, which is fine: that’s the way we drink it in Greece, but it was served as a thin layer in the bottom of a wide-based spirit glass – at first glance the glasses appeared to be empty. A shot glass might have been appropriate and being closer to full would have looked more hospitable. My starter was courgette and feta deep-fried in batter. I could not identify any feta and the batter was over-crisp on the outside but undercooked and doughy in the middle. Fat too hot, methinks. For my main I chose a vegetable pastitsio: according to the menu “Bucatini pasta layered with red lentil celery carrot and tomato topped with a creamy bechamel sauce”. It came as an unidentifiable lump on my plate, doused with balsamic glaze and topped with what looked suspiciously like grated cheddar cheese. It was so tasteless and strangely textured that I thought at first I had been served the baked cod in error. (Is cod even a Mediterranean fish?) The bechamel sauce (which was on the bottom, not the top) was solid and flaked away from the pasta in exactly the way a piece of fish flakes apart. Should a sauce be sliceable? I had always thought a feature of a sauce was that it flowed over the food. Moved around a bit as you break up the food to eat. Come on Guys! Nought out of Ten. I’m no chef, and I’m certainly not a Greek chef but I can and do make a better pastitsio at home.

Really disappointed with this place. Had high expectations that was going to be really nice but turns out it’s not. Food is such a low quality and not tasty at all! As a Greek person I can tell you 100% that this is not how Greek food tastes and I’m actually very upset that they showing people the wrong image about how Greek food taste! But if you’ve been to Greece yourself you know for sure that food does not taste like that! Ridiculously overpriced for such a low quality! Slow service forgot to bring starter. I had the biftekia (beef burgers) and were so so dry! And my friend had mousaka that wasn’t tasty at all and was such a small portion cut like a cheesecake or something. Very very disappointed! I would not recommend this place to anyone!

The food is awful and not at all representative of authentic greek food, especially for the price. For reference, the meat platter that's advertised as sufficient for two people, arrived with ONE type of meat of each, meaning ONE chicken skewer, ONE lamb skewer, one steak, one burger, and one spicy burger. Yes, exactly as I said, meat platter had BURGERS and a STEAK. I cannot believe I'm even typing this. For whopping £40, we got served burgers, AT A GREEK RESTAURANT! Not only that, but everything lacked flavour in general, just bad all around. The Tiropita and Spanakopita were both very clearly from a microwave, with a mushy texture, warm outside, cold inside. We also got served italian bread and had to order pita bread instead. If you're eating burgers anyway, might as well go to a nice burger place and get a proper one, for less than half the price here. I'm giving this a one star only because I can't give it zero.

Good food and service. Late lunch so restaurant was only half full. Shown to table quickly by very pleasant waitress . Starters arrived quite quickly: Spanokopita and grilled prawns. Large portion of Spanokopita which was disappointing as it was too heavy, not enough layers of filo. The 5 prawns were heavily doused in oil but were tasty. Finger bowl was appreciated. Nb prawns will have chili sprinkled on if you can't take chili. The Kleftiko was very tasty but needed more slow cooking until it fell off bone. The Spetsofi was very tasty but a bit dry. The ambience is cosy and the background Greek music was a lovely reminder of visiting Greece. We will return.

The food was nice and decent size portions. The restaurant was quiet but it was midday and had just opened. Although there was an incident the way it was handled/resolved was really good hence the 4 stars.

Have been here twice and both times were outstanding! Food is incredible and so is the service. My highlights were the Melitzanes Papoutsakia, the Vegetable Souvlaki and the Whipped Feta. I would recommend getting lots of dishes and sharing them so you get to try a bit of everything. We got quite a bit between the three of us and ended up paying £25 each including a bottle of wine! The waitress was especially lovely when we came in end of November, chatting to us about the wine and Christmas cocktails and helping us choose what food to get. Would definitely come again!

Visited first first time this week. Good food and lovely atmosphere. Only down side is imposition of 'compulsory' service charge. I would like to have left tip at my discretion and it ruins experience challenging these add ons. Puts you off return visit.

We shared a selection of meze dishes and particularly enjoyed Prawns Saganaki and Kolokythokeffedes but it was all good. Both Baklava and Portokalopita were excellent too. Voltes Greek red wine went well with it all. The service was friendly and attentive, and food was brought quickly. Just over £35/head including wine and service seemed very good value. An enjoyable evening. Now we know it's good, we're planning to return for a full family birthday celebration next month.

Lovely place to eat … good value and be hungry … generous portion . We were given the wrong dish but they could not do more to sort it help . We had a Greek red wine which was lovely £34.00 . Lamb Klefigo amazing.

We were happy to discover this new Greek restaurant. We had a table downstairs in the window but there is a large room upstairs too. The toilets are upstairs. The stairs are not easy for the elderly or disabled but the downstairs tables are well spaced and accessible. The service is very professional and friendly. We were made to feel very welcome. The food was delicious and I enjoyed the Greek background music very much. Highly recommended.

I’d been really looking forward to trying this new restaurant in town so was glad to get a table for a Christmas party. First impressions were really good as the restaurant was beautifully decorated and it had a nice atmosphere. Got to our table but instead of one there were two! We were told they couldn’t accommodate tables or more than 10, so our party of 12 was split. Somewhere that had been missed or miscommunicated. Not a massive deal but we would have liked to have all sat together and probably wouldn’t have booked if we’d known. We had the Christmas menu, that I think was over priced. Starters were nice but there were mixed reviews on the mains. Mine was very bland. I understand it’s the Greek way but too much food and food waste isn’t great. There was definitely too much food all round. Maybe this was just because it was the Christmas menu. Our waitress was very good but it felt like she could have done with another person upstairs to help her out as it was a bit slow. I would go back, but I wouldn’t rush to go back to be honest.

We called in here for lunch yesterday ( without looking at the reviews) the food, staff( especially Cam) and atmosphere were fantastic. Nice little touches like complementary bread and beetroot yoghurt and a lemon sorbet after our dessert If I had have looked at the 1 star reviews before we went: I wouldn’t have gone. That would have been a big mistake. I am sure the 1 starrers work for the competition!!! Really enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be returning.
