Absolute joke the food was cold and the driver couldn’t logins the address although it’s 200 metres away from the cafe. Absolute joke and I want my money back

Lovely clean cafe with lovely staff

Was completely refurbishment during September 2023 and reopened with the usual excellent staff and excellent food (which is why I have left the following 5 star review unchanged). Unfortunately, the refurbishment means we will not be using the café as often as we have done in the past, because they no longer take cash. The counter has been replaced by order screens similar to the screens in MacDonalds and some M&S cafe's, and younger people will love them. Unfortunately, unlike the similar machines at MacDonalds and some M&S cafe's (which take cash as well as card) the new payment screens here only accept card payments. The café looks fine, and the food is as good as ever, but the payment system makes it feel very impersonal and there is less opportunity for banter with the friendly staff. Also, some of the older customers who usually pay by cash will now feel excluded. Personally, I prefer a choice, sometimes paying cash, sometimes by card. Latest image shows the café, and the back of the payment screens on left hand side. The original review was as follows: Food is excellent, as are the staff. Friendly, efficient, and professional. Breakfast is always hot, well cooked, and well presented.

The food and drinks are always worth having, but better to go to the store because delivery is terrible.

cold coffee one only half full

Would give zero stars if I could. The only thing nice was the setting. The bacon on the breakfast was cremated and sausage was severely undercooked. Drinks came out fast but wait for food was unacceptable meaning our drinks were almost gone and cold by the time we received our food. I have enjoyed other tesco cafes but this one has put me off for life. I will not be returning to one any time soon.

Overall the superstore was quite nice but the cafe was where problems started to arrive. After we had ordered we sat down and waited a solid 30 minutes. I had the sourdough ham and cheese toastie and when it came out it had large dots of green mold. We also had two regular English breakfasts on which the bacon came out looking like a cremated pigs ear and the sausage was undercooked. Only come here if your wishing to torture yourself with a trip to the dentist.

Hattersley have updated their cafe. Had coffee and cake with my best friend for my birthday, and it was lovely. Very good choices.

Ridiculous. Took ages to get here I only ordered a a breakfast and it looked like it had been picked up off the floor. Normally nice from there but never again. Don't get me started on the delivery driver who put the woman in the shop on the phone because he was too busy talking on his other phone to someone else. Didn't even apologise for being nearly 2 hours.

Everyone who works here are so friendly the food is good and the cafe is clean

The upstairs Tesco cafe is clean and tidy with lots of space and the balcony overlooks the main store. There is a lift and moving walkway for people in wheelchairs to gain access.The food selection is good and always arrives hot. Drinks are a bit pricey but in line with other cafes.They do a good all day breakfast or a jacket potato with beans, cheese and salad for something a bit more healthy. The staff are always polite and helpful. We have been a few time and the food and service have always been good. We will be calling again.

Ordered chicken strips with fries. Chicken strips were hard and tasted burnt, never again

I asked for 2 eggand bacon on toast on Sunday when the food came it had no egg on the bacon was cremated it was terrible told the lady serving all she said was that is what I asked for I know what I wanted and it was £16 absolutely disgusting we will never eat there again the cafe needs a good looking at absolutely disgusting

Brilliant cafe! Tasty, fleshly cooked food served by friendly and cheerful staff!

Half of the order was missing, ordered 5 breakfasts for 5 people plus sides. We got 3 breakfasts no sides. Toast was burnt and couldnt phone anyone to get it corrected. Really disappointed.

Took 2 hours for delivery and food stone cold and hard

Food was late over an hour and when it eventually arrived it was cold

Awful uncooked food. Myself and a friend ordered the very minimal £4.95 breakfast as they have no other breakfast option. When it eventually came out after other customers who had ordered after us received theirs it stunk and was very undercooked. The 1 slice of bacon had been slapped on a griddle for a couple of minutes you could smell how raw the bacon was and the 1 sausage had 1 brown line where they'd placed it on the grill for all of a minute. Don't waste you time or money.

Lovely food as usual exactly the same as in the cafe. The little treat added was very thoughtful too thank you!

Food is cold the toast is just bread the mushroom isn’t cooked totally cold and not eatable what a waste of money freezing cold food not cooked !!

Never ever seen or eaten such scrambled eggs, as served up in Tesco cafe, Hattersley. Reminded me of gravel, dried up, overcooked...obviously, no pride taken, in the kitchen....on the plus, a nice mannerable staff member on the counter.

Ordered a few times now and only had one issue, but it was rectified. The food is always hot and tastes good, its also well packaged xx

Recently my husband & l have been going in the cafe on a Saturday for lunch after shopping. The staff are so kind & helpful nothing is to much trouble. The food has been good and they make a lovely coffee So well done guys 👏👏

Wasnt allowed in because of Covid but know it so well. Staff are great when open very obliging, so nice.
