We went to the restaurant after reading good reviews. Unfortunately we didn’t have the same experience as these reviewers. We found the restaurant soulless and didn’t feel particularly relaxed or comfortable. The food wasn’t hot and the portions were quite small.

My wife and I went in for a late lunch. The restaurant was empty - not a problem. The table was dirty and had to ask the staff to wipe it down. The food was godawful. The soup was uninspiring and the main courses were tasteless, bland and had zero resemblance to anything Thai. This restaurant in particular used to be my favourite many years ago. That its standards have fallen so sharply is shocking and appalling. Two soups, one starter and one main each cost £100. It is extremely pricey for really bad food. Not going there again for sure.

Food was not up to the mark at all. Have had some extremely good Thai food in the past at different places. The service was too slow. The chicken was chewy n vegetables had an after taste to them. The quality and taste of the food really needs to improve. The egg fried rice tasted as good as the plain rice ( no difference at all). The pina colada didn't taste anything like it either. The lycee drink was the only one that was really good.

A busy, vibrant restaurant with efficient, attentive staff. The surroundings are very nice and the location is excellent for the west end. We both had a vegetable green curry which was watery and lacked flavour. A bit pricey too, but that's fine if it meets expectations.

Never been to a Thai restaurant before and our dinner was really good. Hot food with good portions and very tasty. The staff were attentive and service was great. A bit pricy but it is in the centre of London so I would expect that. Impressive experience.

My hubby and I ate here again after a hiatus of quite a few years and we’re really impressed with the recent transformation. The food was really delicious and the quality is much improved from our last visit. We had Thai dumplings that were juicy and delicious with sweet soy dipping sauce, duck spring rolls and chicken red curry with sticky rice. It’s back to being a regular option for us…

The most delicious Thai food I have ever ever had. Great service. Felt very well looked after but also not bombarded. Amazing atmosphere, calming but also great for a Christmas dinner. I literally inhaled the noodles I had (wish I remembered the name but they were one under the pad Thai) 10/10 will be back for sure. (Also had the mango sticky rice and it was yummmmmm)

Came here for lunch. Booked in advance but it was pretty quiet at 2pm on a weekend so you can probably do a walk in. Service was speedy and attentive. Spring rolls were really good. The curries were on the pricier side but they threw in a free dessert for my dad's birthday which was actually really good. Beautiful decor.

It's a place where the manager won't let you in if you're not Asian. Don't come to this place if the Korean doesn't let you in. They treat you badly at the door. Very bad treatment.

A beautiful restaurant. Just found the crispy aromatic duck a bit over cooked. Overall enjoyed the meal flavors.

Tom provided my sister and I with excellent service throughout our meal. He was so helpful and attentive and even brought out a little cake for my sister birthday and sand happy birthday. 10/10 experience thanks to Tom he is an A star employee!!!

Sadly since original review, the service has gotten poor and the food hasn't stayed high quality. Meal featured hot food served tepid, dishes forgotten and surly staff. Too expensive for what it is now. Lamp shades in the foyer are nice.

Wonderful celebratory dinner with family and friends. We had the best tom yam soup. Duck, and drunken noodles were delicious. The curry was good, the desserts were good. The margaritas were great. Service was good. And the ambience is wonderful.

Fabulous Thai Restaurant at Trafalgar Square London. I brought a couple of American friends here after a business meeting. The food was absolutely wonderful. Some amazing Thai & or Fusion dishes. The Slow Roasted Lamb Shanks with a Thai Sauce were 10/10 delicious. My American friends said it was the best Thai restaurant they had ever been to. Beautiful restaurant interior design and the staff all dress in Beautiful Thai national dress / costume. A wonderful place to visit. Very Reasonable prices for the high quality food. 10/10 Makes a trip to London even more special.

Worst green curry I ever had as well as the most expensive by far and smallest portion. Trifecta of disappointment. Service also not good. First meal in London and I hope it was the worst.

The setting of this Thai restaurant gives you everything you'd expect from a Thai: the Buddha, the sculpted elephants, the decor etc... As for the food, it's fine and the quantities are (almost) too large. But at this stage, that's not a criticism. Service is efficient and very, very friendly. All in all, it was perfect.

Thai is my favorite food. I started with a cosmopolitan. Some places make them sweeter than I like but the waiter was kind enough to bring me some limes. I ordered pad si-we, medium spice and water. The noodles were cooked perfectly but the chicken was very dry. The dish lacked flavor and no spice. I asked again for water.

We were met with unfriendly staff who made my family and me feel very uncomfortable. Our reservation was deleted after we confirmed our details, with the reason being that “there was no table available for 5.” However, there were available seats upstairs, and we ended up waiting for nearly an hour. We asked to speak to the manager, but no one came to address the situation, leaving it unresolved. In the end, we had to sit at two separate tables, which was particularly disappointing as it was a birthday celebration. While the food was decent, we felt so disrespected that it ruined the entire experience.

Hmmm the food is average, the tom yum doesn’t taste like tomyum to me btw. Maybe the chef should go bangkok to try how the tomyum taste like. The other food also taste sweet to me. Not really authentic. You may skip it. The food is on pricy side.

Amazing Thai in Trafalgar Square, so good that we ate there twice in our week-long stay. Shared the Panang Chicken Curry and Chicken with Cashew Nuts. Both were excellent, with the latter being the best I’ve had in recent memory. Service was fantastic and welcoming, as was the ambience. This place is really special.

We went with a big group so had to preorder from a set menu but the food was delicious, hot and fresh. Would defo return to see what the wider menu has to offer.

I have been enjoying Thai square for more than 20 years. Wanted to treat my friend for her birthday. So obvious choice. Unfortunately will never return. I should have noticed no white table clothes !!! The waiters uniform and trainers a far cry from the original beautiful thai attire. Instead look ready to work at a building site. The food and ingredients were below par. Heavyladen with sugar and more sugar. The wine. Who is the chef? Cheap.unpalatable and very very dissatisfied!! Gone are the beautiful orchards in the bathroom. No lovely scent. And the once Milton Brown hand wash has been replaced with Carex!! Cheap. Your prices have increased mind. You. Your standards have completely dropped or rather absent. I will compliment the lovely waiters. Not their fault.

Wife and I stopped in for an early dinner yesterday after a tiring day of sightseeing, mainly due to proximity to our hotel, and it was a very good choice. We shared the mixed starters, all of which were very good. Wife had Red Curry with chicken and found it excellent; I had Pad Thai which was as good as I've ever had - pretty much my idea of what the perfect Pad Thai should be. We were in at around 5pm, so it wasn't crowded or noisy, and the service was prompt and courteous. For the location right on Trafalgar square, we found the prices quite reasonable as well, especially for the quality - in this area, you can spend as much for a couple of burgers. We'll be here a few more days and both agreed to come back at least once before we leave.

Lovely service and ambience but the food was very disappointing. We used to eat there regularly but the food just isn’t as good as it used to be. The mixed starter was heavy, tasteless and greasy. The papaya salad was just not right and it didn’t even have peanuts.

Great value pre-theatre 2 course menu which was delicious. Good choice of starters on the platter and the red and green curries were excellent. Great service and would defo return.

So, I guess the biggest selling point is the location. Food is Mediocre at best. ordered coconut soup with chicken and steam sea bass which marked on the menu as ‘popular’. The soup was good however the chicken was so over cooked. Felt like they boiled the chicken 30 times to make it so hard to chew. The sea bass - you can tell this is not the most fresh ones, and the taste didn’t even live up to the average Thai food quality Be ware that they have a 12.5% ‘discretionary’ service charge. This kind of so called ‘discretionary’ service charge puts me off the most as it feels being ‘moral hijacking’. I’d rather you just increase the menu price by 12.5%. Staff were doing their job fine but well you can tell they just don’t like their job 🤷🏽‍♀️

Not the cheapest Thai food but very much punching above its weight. Quality of dishes exceeded their price by a goodly margin. I had the lamb shank panang curry and my grandson the drunken noodles, both were delicious and the duck rolls as a starter were also very good. Very nice staff and relaxing atmosphere. I would be a regular if I lived in the UK.

The food came quickly but for the tase it was avarage. I have a gluten allergy (celiac) they did not have a soya souce that is gluten free so instead they add salt therefore the taste was ok but not wow! I had the stirfry chicken with basil it was ok, the satay chicken was good but did not like the sauce that came with it, the garlic jumbo prawns was not good at all it was not even properly cooked, unfortunately it was still raw so we did not eat it. Another important thing was i ordered a 7up but when it came it was in a glass (no can) which is wired and the taste was different and did not like it, when i saw the bill it was a lemonade but the waiter did not even bother to tell me that.

The restaurant was nicely decorated and staff are friendly. We asked for a 2 chicken dish same one came with different portion than the other and jumbo shrimp that was not fully clean and somehow raw 🤮

I've been here before with friends and family and the food is always good. Good central London location opposite Trafalgar Square. They do a great lunchtime deal. Enjoyable meal.

Amazing Thai food! I was visiting London this past week, and randomly chose to go to this place. The hostess was very prompt, and the waiters were very gracious. The food was delicious with delicate flavors. It was even beautiful to look at. Compared to the Thai food in the US, it’s not as spicy, but did not disappoint. A must try if you are looking for Thai food in that vicinity.

Mediocre at best Rice was at least a day old and the vegetarian starter platter was chewy batter and miscellaneous vegetables. Somehow they made deep fried brocoli doughy The curry we had was just lightly fried vegetables in soy sauce with tofu that tasted like soggy tissues. Asked for ginger tea and received floating brown lemongrass in hot water Cocktails are nothing remarkable either I assume the 12.5% service charge was because the food comes out quickly rather than quality of food. Staff were attentive but the restaurant wasn't busy. Toilets - too dim to see your own hand and the tap doesn't work I can only blame my own exhaustion fr9k travel because I would have rather spent £70 on the groceries to make this myself

It was an amazing restaurant. I ordered the Pad Thai and it completely blowed my mind on how tasty it was. The waiter was really nice and joked around with us. It was a quiet place and it felt nice to chill out with friends and family there.

The Pad Thai lacked the essential tamarind punch, and the green curry missed that fragrant basil freshness, essential to lift the rich coconut base. Both dishes could have benefitted from a more generous use of herbs and spices that are the backbone of Thai cuisine. Moving on to the service, it was disappointing. From the moment we stepped in, the welcome was less than warm, setting a rather underwhelming tone for the evening. It took a considerable amount of time to catch the attention of the staff for ordering. When the food arrived, it was with minimal interaction, lacking the customary Thai hospitality, which is all about warmth and friendliness. A significant damper on the evening was the atmosphere, disrupted not by the restaurant's own ambience but by an external factor — a child at the next table watching YouTube videos at a high volume. Normally, one would expect restaurant management to step in and ensure that all guests enjoy their experience without such disturbances. However, when approached, the manager refused to intervene, which was both surprising and disappointing. This lack of consideration for the comfort of other diners further marred our experience. Overall, Thai Square Trafalgar Square falls short of what one might expect from such a well-positioned eatery. Despite the restaurant's potential to capitalise on its location with robust Thai flavours and congenial service, it struggles with mediocrity in its culinary offerings and a disregard for customer service. For those seeking the true taste of Thailand and a dining experience to match, there are certainly better venues in London to consider.

Came here for dinner before a theatre show to take advantage of the pre-theatre meal deal. The restaurant was nice and clean, service was good, the food was ok and it was good value.

Great Thai place with authentic flavors! They have great service and you are able to custom order your spice level on orders! The food is fresh and they have a good assortment of cocktails. The restaurant is large and we got in without a reservation on a Friday night. Great location and pretty decorations. Service is great and food comes out at the right speed.

Visited without a reservation and told we could have the table for an hour. We weren’t kicked out after that time so we’re grateful for that. We ordered a mixed starter and curries for main. We shared a rice as it was big enough for two in our opinion. Service and food was good. Overall, worth a visit.
