Thai Ubon Restaurant in North Norfolk

It pains me to say so ... one of the most disappointing meals I've ever had in a restaurant. Worse, because it was a treat by a very kind person, yet the food served was dire. We went in the evening. For most of our stay, 90 minutes to 2 hours, we were the only two people, in a place with about 40 seats. That tells you all you need to know. A person might go once but they are are unlikely to return. I've been using Oriental restaurants since 1970. Most are great. Not this one. My recommendation is: Avoid.

Delicious and fragrant food, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be going back.

We were a party of 20 and the service was absolutely brilliant, food was delicious and the staff were just lovely, very helpful throughout our evening, definitely going to visit again

A l9vely restaurant nestled in Wroxham, staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was unbelievably tasty. We are gutted we don't live closer but we will be back again for sure!

Nice food. Thai not super hot so not exactly authentic, but tasty, service friendly. Green curry and pad Thai both good.

We have known this address for several years and as usual we ate very well. the king prawns with green curry are even more delicious than I remember. the service is very fast and always with a smile. we took the menu for 2.

Our family lunch at Thai Ubon in Norfolk was a delightful experience! As vegetarians, we were thrilled with the diverse and delicious options available. From the vibrant flavors of the Green and Red Curries to the perfectly cooked Cashew and vegetable stir fry, spring rolls every dish surpassed our expectations. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was impeccable. Thai Ubon is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine in Norfolk. We'll definitely be returning soon.

Awful meals, beef dry & tough, about 3 prawns & mostly carrotts in meal, well over priced, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE !!

Visited this lovely little place over our holiday weekend for my brothers birthday. So welcoming and friendly. The golden balls starter was really tasty with the sweet chilli dip and for main I had the Thai green curry which is 100% the best I’ve ever had! Full of flavour and I could taste every fresh ingredient I didn’t want it to end. This place truly is a little gem hidden away and will definitely be returning on our next hols. Thank you for a great experience 10/10

Thai Ubon Restaurant located in Hoveton NR12. This is a typical Thai restaurant with waitress come from Thailand. Ordered spring roll, green curry chicken, red curry fried rice. Nothing special. Only one table is occupied during the lunch time on Thursday.

Very good food and service. Definitely go back here soon.

Amazing authentic Thai cuisine highly recommended

Highly recommended, the food, service and atmosphere is beautiful. We live locally so often get takeaway from Thai Ubon, but had a wonderful evening in the restaurant last night. I had the Crispy Duck, served on a bed of vegetables with a tamarind sauce and shared a pad Thai with my husband, who had Duck Panang (a delicious curry).

We had a take away here whilst moored at Wroxham overnight (2 minute walk from mooring). The food was superb, really lovely well balanced flavours. Panang pork had a lovely flavour and really good kick! Yim Siam Gai was a really nice sweet and sour with a ginger twist. Ped Krob with sweet chilli very meaty and incredible flavours. Very highly recommend this restaurant/take away.

Took my friends here for a meal last evening. The food was delicious and service excellent. I had the sizzling mixed seafood platter and could not fault it. The staff were friendly and attentive. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Visited the Thai Ubon yesterday evening. I had Thai dumplings and my wife had the golden parcels for starters both where very nice. Main course was pac choi and sweet and sour chicken stir fry respectively again very nice. Portion sizes where quite generous and the service very attentive without being to obtrusive. Bill came to £50 including 3 drinks each. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone

We ordered Thai from Thai Ubon and unfortunately the experience was awful! The food took 2 hours to be delivered, and when the food was delivered it was luke warm and looked disgusting! The food had no flavour, the beef was dry and tough. We ended up throwing the meal away as neither of us could bare to eat any more! Poor delivery and the food was dreadful! We definitely do not recommend and we will not be ordering food from here again!

The worst service we’ve encountered in a restaurant. We’re a group of 6 with 3 children, we’ve waited for our food for almost 2 hours to come and yet it didn’t come. We saw other tables being served first that came an hour after us, they keep on saying it’s coming but it turns out that they messed up in the kitchen without even informing us. Such a disappointment. Good thing is that the woman who’s serving us is very apologetic. I hope it won’t happen to others what we’ve experienced.

A really nice place to eat. Would definitely return.

We had a takeaway, very good overall, the Thai Ubon chicken (W7) was the best dish, though Satay chicken starters could do with a bigger pot of peanut sauce. Ribs starter had plenty of meat on them. Would recommend.

We are on holiday and ordered a take away that was delivered to our cottage . It was a wonderful Thai dinner. We highly recommend! Thank you .
