I ordered prawn pineapple fried rice, Chicken Pad Thai, Tom yum soup and Thai milk tea to dine in. Food presentation was amazing, portion lived up to the price. Generally it’s delicious as well. However it’s slightly disappointing that the fried rice was a bit too soft and clumped. I’ll expect the rice to be firmer and better. Also, the floor was very sticky, I believe more floor cleaning should be done in this regard. Overall it was a decent meal and I will be back whenever I’m around this area again.

I ordered the chicken Pad Thai from Thai on Thames for £13.95, which was a bit preoccupied for takeaway lunch. Apart from that the portion size was huge and the flavour was fantastic. It had plenty of bean sprouts and carrots, adding a nice crunchy texture that complemented the dish well. The chilli flakes on the side provided just the right amount of heat without being overpowering. Overall, a very satisfying meal.

Unassumingly excellent. Food is authentic and completely delicious, staff are lovely. If you're in Kingston and in the mood for exceptional Thai cuisine, this is a must stop.

The food is amazing, delicious and aromatic, the staff are lovely and friendly. Their Thai milk tea is perfect and the mango sticky rice is too, its like bring back in Thailand! I highly recommend the tom yum noodles 😋, great portion and super tasty!

We love this restaurant. Our go to if ever in Kingston for dinner. The papaya salad reminds us of our holiday in Thailand and not been disappointed in any of our visits.

I can confidently say that this restaurant has the most authentic thai food in all of kingston, such amazing food and wonderful service definitely recommend going here for some fresh thai food. I went here with my family for some dinner and the service was very quick for how busy it was. very pleased

Hygiene rating 1 out of 5. My friend and I had a decent lunch and well served by the lady owner. Food was flavoursome. However, one day after the meal, my friend and I got same food poisoning symptoms at the same time. We only had that meal together and I checked the food hygiene rating of the restaurant is only 1. We can confidently say the food served was contaminated. While this restaurant has very high rating on Google, do look at its hygiene rating on Food Standards Agency. https://ratings.food.gov.uk/business/1386031 Update: I could not get this review posted due to google review. I visited the restaurant on 26 Jan. My review was posted immediately after I got well enough to use my computer. The alleged hygiene rating from the shop’s reply is not true. The last hygiene inspection was 27 April 2023 and the result is 1 out of five.

This is the best food I've ever had in the Kingston area I went to school here for a year and this is the only restaurant where I think the food is mostly good but the food can be slow when it's busy but because it's delicious so wait Bar

I had the fish cakes to start and then the duck red curry with a pinot grigio wine. I must say the red curry is one of the best I've ever had so fully recommend this restaurant

Really testy, and authentic Thai recipes. Mango salad was fresh, going to come back next time visiting Kingston. Never had fried prawns that beautifully cooked like this before.

Some friends and I came for dinner yesterday evening and absolutely loved it! We had the vegetarian dumplings, spring rolls and pad Thai, they were all so fresh & delicious. The portion sizes were also great! - The staff were so friendly and kind, and made sure to ask and reassure about our dietary needs (being Vegetarian) Would 100% recommend 🫶🏼

Good food, good ambiance. Server was rude. Food was yummy. Second visit update: Food was good again. Service was poor, had to wait 20 minutes to be seated although many tables were available.

Had a fantastic meal here just tonight with my partner :) lovely considerate service made us feel very welcome and comfortable not to mention the food which was just perfect; the best Asian cuisine you could get in the whole town in a lovely quieter area! We highly recommend the Thai milk tea, thd calamari, the chicken padthai and the mango sticky rice! Definitely will come back and bring friends and family :)

Very nice Thai food in a slightly quieter street in Kingston. We were the first people in on a Saturday evening, so the service was very prompt and friendly. We ordered Pad Thai, Grilled Chicken and plain Jasmine Rice — along with a Tiger Lager and some Jasmine Tea. Pad Thai was very nice, with not much spice, and they did give you the option to add heat with chilli flakes which were on the side of the plate. The grilled chicken had lovely flavour with nice crispy bits of skin, but the salad was fairly spicy. Definitely recommend if you're into Thai or other Asian cuisines.

Super friendly service, good vibe, and really, really great food

Very slow service. It was not busy in the restaurant, and there were three free tables, and only four or five tables of guests, but the waitress (the only one in the restaurant) let us wait for at least a half hour, and we didn’t get served eventually, left with starving stomachs. The service is as slow as a sloth.

This place delivers some of the best Thai food I've tasted in a long time. The green chicken curry and duck massaman curry are absolutely delicious... fresh, vibrant, flavoursome and the duck melted in the mouth. Accompanying we had the spinach and the broccoli - both were cooked perfectly and great balance of chilli/garlic. Looking forward to coming back!

To be honest we are pretty happy with the food. Staffs were nice. However the evening we visited the restaurant there was a big group for birthday celebration. We waited for 45 mins for a salad, a curry and pad Thai. I assume that's just an exception case. Staffs apologised for the long wait. Generally happy with the food. Portion can be slightly bigger.

We have tried many thai restaurants in London and we highly recommend their Pad Thai and green curry. It is the closest taste to authentic thai dishes in Bangkok. Very family touch setting and friendly environment. We will definitely visit regularly.

I had higher expectations based on previous reviews posted. The food was really average. Duck curry was a bit overcooked. Soup and curry were oily. Pad See Ew was bland. Service and decor was nice and had a nice local neighbourhood vibe. Personally won't be returning

Authentic Thai food with the most reasonable price and friendly service in a nice Thai decorated and scented restaurant. Will return for sure. Was craving for good Thai food and my friend recommended Thai On Thames. First bite of the chicken satay dipped in their curry sauce made me smile as I immediately knew the spring roll and pad see ew with prawns would be great too. I told the lady who served my table how much I enjoyed the meal and extended my gratitude to their Thai chef. It’s the authentic flavor I had during my every visit to their country. Please keep up these cooking!

Cute restaurant with friendly staff. Ordered the Wontons for starters and the Green Curry with Prawn for mains, it was delicious! Food was great!

The staff was nice. I had prawn pad thai and the food is good. The thai milk tea was also good, just a little bit sweet for me.

Delicious food. Lovely staff. Very accommodating considering I can't eat chilli any more. Also because of my digestive issues I can only eat small portions and was able to take away what I was unable to eat. Very well cooked food. My husband and I are accomplished cooks and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Good value for money.

Finally we found the best Thai food in Kingston! Everything was so delicious that we had no time for the pictures. Next time as we for sure are coming back there!

Really versitile menu and caters very well for vegetarians. We tried the tofu and vegetable pad Thai, green curry with jasmine rice and spring rolls. All the food came out promptly and was very nice. I also tried the Thai ice tea which I highly recommend. The waitress for very kind and greated us as soon as we entered Thank you Thai on Thames!

Very authentic and amazing food!

Better than few years experience as the shop fixed the floor hole. Food is fine and people are nice. The only thing disappointed me was the Thai beer made in UK but not Thailand even its so called the original Thai beer.

Well decorated, good music, lovely staff. I highly recommend this place. We ordered the calamari and spring rolls as starters, some of the best spring rolls I've had, and I'm not sure what sauce they used on the calamari, but again some of the best calamari I've tasted. We decided to order the duck curry with pineapple, I really enjoyed this dish even though I was hesitant as the pineapple and duck combination was new to me. We also ordered some noodles (I've forgotten the name of the dish but it roughly consisted of bamboo, vegetables and chicken), which was also something new that I was pleasantly surprised by. I was surprised at how empty the place was to start with, but over time it started to get busier... which made a lot more sense. I will definitely be returning if I'm in Kingston again!

Thai on Thames is such a hidden gem. The food is delicious and the staff are so lovely. Our favourites are the Pad Thai, massaman curry, fried cod in curry sauce and the calamari! Definitely try this place if you are in the area

29th Dec 2021 Popped in for lunch chicken satay starter and chicken pad Thai. Nice portion size nice food.

Amazing food and service. We had three starters corn cakes, fish cakes and chicken satay. For mains, we had chicken pad see ew and grilled chicken with papaya salad. All the dishes very perfectly balanced and cooked to perfection. Chicken was moist and flavourful, unlike a lot of other Thai restaurants. Also I like that dishes were not overly sweet. The waitress was also very friendly and attentive. Definitely will be coming back.

Eight of us visited there on Friday 17th December 21, to celebrate my sons 32nd birthday. Family run restaurant, great staff serving great Thai traditional food at reasonable prices. Would recommend & looking forward to visiting again soon!!!

Came here with friends on recommendation of a friend who is local (and part of our group). It was a great choice. Absolutely lovely food. The hostess/waitress/manager is just the best. Customer service is excellent. If I were to mark them down for anything, they only had four desserts available on the menu... tbf we were their lady customers for the day... And what desserts they did have were sublime. Their banana fritters is heavenly. I will come back here again and again. And again.

I can't believe I have overlooked this lovely spot for so long. A short-ish menu of very tasty dishes, an adequate wine menu, and all served with a smile practically in the town centre. Bingo!

Lovely place with amazing food. 3 of us went out tonight and shared lots of different dishes. The mixed starter and massage curry (they changed it for me to chicken) were amazing! It did not say it on the menu but we ordered fried bananas which were the best I have eaten in a long time

Ordered via deliveroo. The delivery times were really long so I asked the restaraunt if they could please send the food early, as I'm pregnant and very hungry! They called me to accommodate my request and the food was over 10 mins early. The quality of the food is fantastic, delicious, exactly what I needed and cannot recommend highly enough. The restaraunt called me afterwards to check everything was ok with the meal as well, their customer service is fantastic. What a great local restaraunt and extremely high quality food!

This is mine and my partners favourite place to eat. We try and come once a week. The best duck and calamari we've ever tasted. The staff are always happy to see us. There's always polite conversation. We don't understand why it's never packed. Definitely a hidden treasure

I really liked the food and the friendly staff. We had vegetarian green curry, red curry and an aubergine dish with steamed rice. They all tasted great and portions were reasonable. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The decor is a bit dated but pleasant. We will definitely go there again.

The food is excellent. Well cooked and tasty. Well stocked dessert area with fruit, cake chocolate fountain etc. The downside on this visit was the rude, stroppy, clearly bored waiter. As this is 'serve yourself, all you can eat'there is very little 'waiting'do be done so his contempt for the customers and rudeness was mystifying. That said we would visit again in the hope he is no longer there.

I had a veggie pad Thai and a glass of white wine and they were both ok. I thought the ambiance was a bit run down.

They get young workers in on a 'Trial Shift' from around Brentford. This is an 8 hour unpaid shift, the worker isn't even allowed to keep tips. Get's paid with a coke at end of shift then moves on to the next young person.Happened to a lot of people in Brentford, do not give this resteraunt money.

A smart Thai restaurant offering authentic Thai cuisine which are beautifully presented. My first time here but not my last. Ideal for business lunches, a romantic meal for two or in my case a quiet lunch by myself. Family oriented so children welcomed.

Mid week price £16.99 for an all you can eat buffet. Food is hot refreshed often and a good varirty. The grill is very nice as are the sweets and dessert choices. Alcohol 8s not ovrr priced either and compsres favourably to pub prices.

Food wasnt kept hot or even that warm as lids were kept ajar by serving spoons. Appears to us that the chicken satay was akin to the texture of crab sticks, almost artificial. Prawns were straight from the kitchen but like rubber, pointless having shells on so garlic couldn't be absorbed or tasted. Desserts were like rubber too. Pancakes for duck were separated by a customer using his hands and replacing some back to the steamer. Needless to say we can't recommend this place at all. Charge more and give us real food - if it seems to good to be true.... comes to mind!

Worst buffet I have ever been to. None of the food is hot, barely warm. All the lids are off, most of it was destroyed by other customers. As for desserts: I can make banana custard and buy awful value ice cream myself.. if you have almost £50 to spend on dinner & 2 soft drinks for 2 on a Saturday night, I would recommend taking your money elsewhere (also watch out for the lids on the rice as they can close unexpectedly whilst you are shoved out the way by the staff).

Been here a few times and the food is amazing. Love this place as its small and friendly. You can have a lovely romantic night there. The service is excellent too.

For Brentford, this place is a little expensive (considering the quality) and soft drinks (not refillable) hit you where it hurts (in the pocket). That aside, there's a fair range (as you'd expect) of fresh, UK-style Chinese/Asian food. It wasn't as hot as I'd like, but the cooking stations do provide freshly-cooked items.In conclusion, I won't be rushing back and, when I need a buffet hit, I'll head to Aroma in Shepherds Bush (better selection, hotter food and unlimited Coke etc.).

Delicious food and very cosy restaurant.

We were staying at the nearby Premier Inn London Kew Bridge Hotel and came across this restaurant whilst having a walk early evening. We were pleasantly surprised as initially it was very quiet but by 7pm it was very busy, with quite a lot of locals or repeat customers. Contrary to some of the reviews, staff were very pleasant although a couple of male waiter/plate clearers were constantly talking loudly to each other in their own language which was a bit irritating, The food was very good with a good selection.There were 2 chefs who worked extremely hard cooking to order such items as squid, mussels, prawns, chicken cubes. I was most impressed with chef cooking squid.For the price,£16.99 it was extremely good value. I was given 2 pints of lager which cost something like £5.50. It might have been because we got there early.

The management is very rude a few weeks before they charged us adult price for a 10 year old because of her height, when we visited the next time they had changed the entry price it was then they wanted to charge my 12 year old daughter adult price even though she was not tall enough...words was exchanged and I said I would sit with the party and not eat but they wanted us to pay full price....This restaurant makes rules up as they go along....I will not be wasting my hard earned cash or time to step foot in that establishment again and neither will my family and friends.uts a zero rating from me.....

The waiter was rude and abrupt from the start. Zero effort to accommodate any requirement (such as table choice). Food is bland and amateur. Awful experience, I simply hated it. So many better alternatives nearby - Turkish, Italian etc.
